I can see a videogame for FT happening, The main series is done so there's no need to make up random filler with repeated techniques and whatnot to sell. With EZ, the nice thing about it and what may earn it the possible extension beyond 20-30 volumes to me, is that it keeps presenting you with more new places to go to, with more characters to look forward to. An EZ game would be just like something out of the Tales of Franchise. The perfect RPG, with you as Shiki in the controls (don't really like games with you as a custom character unless it REALLY works well).

The big knight statues in the last chapter have me thinking. I wonder if Mashima will do something with mecha in the future?

Does anybody think that's a possibility? Because, if you think about, he's already built up a lot of the base ingredients a Gundam type twist to the series would need. It would be crazy but I'd kind of love to see him try it.

I said from the beginning of EZ that we would have a Happy gundam or Plue.

Mashima having already drawn on front page in rave and FT giant mecha of happy and more.

Already I want as the ultimate PU for happy, a fighting armor for Rebecca.

I don’t want to go off topic but she kicks ass! I haven’t seen/read Season 3 but she isn’t like Nami, Bulma or Sakura that aren’t strong combative fighters. Rebecca seems like she’s into combat but she hasn’t shown to be very powerful and used collective minds to escape based on her lack of power. In other words, she used techniques women use to get out of dangerous situation by collaborating with other women and using non-combative skills. I do like how Mashima showed the women coming together and escaping but it just reinstates a notion that the female lead in shonen is a stereotypical woman who doesn’t fight because plot prevents her. I don’t want every shonen to have a Mikasa as the female lead but it’s nice to see a kickass woman who doesn’t rely on men as the lead.

Quoting you here so we can talk more freely. Well all the females of SnK are badass, even the comedy ones like Sasha and the girly Historia types. Look at Annie, Hange, Ynir. Have you seen Annie’s ova Lost girls? And you also not caught up in the manga or even the anime....

Mikasa is just kind of there after the first few arcs. She never really does anything. Even season 3 is more about Historia. You also have Hange and Sasha doing more as the series progresses. And you have new females like Gabi and Pieck who are more relevant currently.

You should definitely watch Levi’s OVAs at least. Your life isn’t complete without them.

I read the first couple of works of the spoilers. It seems a lot of shonen the main female lead ends up as “stay there and make the men some sandwiches”. I have to watch the OVA

Not really. There been others like Medaka from Medaka Box and Maka from Soul Eater. There been main female protagonist before her actually.

Rukia shown to be good female main character too and original was made to be main character before Ichigo was thought up of Kubo with Bleach. Also his Burn The Witch series he made recently with two main female characters.

I wouldn't say every female main character are portrayed badly or feel like they can't protect themselves as they can. It's too early to say Rebecca will be "in the back" or won't do anything as Mashima is planning her to learn EG, so she will be handle herself without help more for sure.

What we know is that volume 3 comes out in the middle of the month, so in 2 weeks the manga will appear in Oricon.

Also, what the first two volumes of EZ left behind was that they had reprints of their first 2 volumes and the sales when they were in Oricon were the following:

1 volume: 96,723 copies (this one had special edition) so it can be about 10k more copies.
2 volume: 98,468 copies

In total, only in Japan and the top 50 of Oricon EZ has sold 195,191 copies in Japan.

Just caught back up with the series after a month or two. Still pretty good. It's low key dark still, which is good. The first real test, for me anyway, will be how it handles it's major antagonist/s.

So far they are getting tougher and stronger than each one and are beaten in logical ways, so that's good to see. Hope to see more of that and for the better of fights too.
