I doubt it will ever do better than FT,if you notice all round manga buying has decreased due to the rise of digital reading (in legal sites).FT sold 60 million copies in 64 volumes so it's difficult to sell that much in the age of digitalisation.

Really? I am still seeing people still buy copies in real life as One Piece and others in sells are still proof of that. Also you never know. Have to wait and see.

One piece doesn't sell like that anymore,it once sold 4 millions in a single volume but not nowadays due to many people shifting to online reading.Sure people still buy physical volumes no doubt but it's no where like before.


And also EZ is supposed to have around 30 volumes as said by Mashima.FT sold 60 million copies in 64 volumes,note it's more than double volume count that EZ is supposed to have.To reach that level of sales in 30 volumes then EZ need to reach Attack on Titan level sales per volume.

Remember, 30 volumes is a guess that he made before he started writing, not a goal, and he's letting us know that. He doesn't have the story planned go specifically to or around that length. It's just like how he said he imagined Fairy Tail would go on for about 10 volumes based on the characters and concepts he had in mind before he got started, but once he did, he just kept barrelling through the story with new characters and ideas that popped into his head with no plans of stopping that he wound up making it six times longer.

And keep in mind, he's told us in V4's afterword that the Four Shining Stars and Homura were introduced sooner than expected, yet he still wants to add characters he intended to do beforehand, so there's no telling how this will affect the length.

I haven't read vol 4 afterword so I don't know about that but I still doubt it will surpass FT in sales,but who knows what will happen.
