I don't agree with the criticism but I never did in their opinion because often they find movies great but for me I find it boring and vice versa. For example, joker movie I heard some good reviews but when I went to see it for an hour I wanted to partiridem for other movies.

With these low sales, it would not be unusual for me to have sold more worldwide this year than in Japan.

I do not know why he is not hitting in Japan, I liked the development of the manga so far, although I must say that Guilst and Digitails have given this manga very hard.
You keep on blaming guilst and digitalis yet the volumes consisting of those arc chapters had better sales than this volume which had sun jewel lol. Just wanna say dunno what's affecting the sales but this week's weren't good for mashima for both ft and ez

People don't really understand what plagerism is a lot of times and get confused about that unfortunately.

Plagerism is the act of taking someone else's work or ideas and passing them off as your own. And Mashima definitely isn't doing that. He's putting his spin on some One Piece concepts for sure. But the two manga really aren't much alike aside from that.

So Edens Zero doesn't actually plagiarize anything. What it is, however, is derivative. Some people have a huge problem with derivative works. I do not. That just means it's based on another work. Most shounen is derivative to some degree. Almost all Isekai series are. Most "school club" series are. Edens Zero is just a little more upfront about that. He's taking fun ideas from all over and incorporating them into his own space adventure. I really like that about it.

And I think it's understandable if people don't like that too.

That having been said, I think, unfortunately youtuber type people tend to equate "I don't like" with "This is wrong". And there is absolutly nothing wrong with an author taking inspiration from another franchise and building thier own story on top of those ideas. Nothing about SAO was an original idea and that's ok too.

both EZ and FT dropped down in sales hard.

@natsu x777 bruh, you're missing the good stuff.

Mildian and Sun Jewel arc are a huge step up.
And I do not deny it, Sun Jewel is the best arc that Hiro has made since Tartaros, but the issue here is sales, try to understand why both Edens Zero and FT 100YQ are decreasing their sales, especially EZ that are falling very quickly .

The only thing that occurs to me is that it is that people are not attracted to the west of the Edens Zero universe.

1: If they are not attracted by the theme of the manga it can also be because of what ALL haters say on this one:

-It's a huge OP plagiarism.

-Mashima continues copying OP.

2: Certainly the 1st arc go too fast and it is always the case for me and will be probably the biggest defect of this first part of manga.

But if that's the case, it's because people really do not give the manga a chance and note too harsh, you can not judge a manga on the 1st Bow.

Objectively the 1st OP arc are good but not perfect / exceptional either.

I do not like the progress / speed of guils while the bow promised a good thing so far not to the point of letting go of the manga.

Mashima is also criticized for doing things that are too classic / banal.

Maybe because of Japanese youtubers too.

In France a youtubers it is a little gibbered in a justified way precisely because of that.

He gave his opinion, that's not the problem, but he was not very neutral, he said roughly:

'' 'the mashima fan will love but the others past your way' '

As a result, it does not encourage new readers to discover EZ.

Recently with the release of volume 6, a journalist was not very neutral and also spoke of plagiarism to DB.

Should also know the ad that is made on EZ or what the press magazines say about it.

1. It is normal, in FT they did the same, that is more of people who like to annoy fans, after a while people would start taking these jokes as a real argument to criticize it, like the comparison between Gildarts and Shanks but Actually, it should be with King Raregroove, the majority thought that Mashima's first manga was FT and not Rave Master, I hope that with Hero's people are very interested in that manga.

2. The first 2 volumes of Edens Zero are very good, at least for me, although they were fast, they were necessary to show you the world of Edens Zero, basically it leaves you the foundations of what will be all the manga and the finish line. Guilst was the beginning of everything, I remember that this arc was very criticized for the high content of Fan service and the use that Hiro gave to women (the fact that they were left naked to converge in furniture I think they didn't like anything) and Let's not even talk about Digitails that Hiro escaped from Hermit's hands and past that they also criticized.

Those bad comments are very influential in the opinion and I think the Japanese are very inclined to those opinions and decide to look for other options (I think this is the real reason for leaving the manga).

Regarding the criticism that you shared, I saw the profile and is a fan of Dragon Ball, it is normal that he finds coincidences, that he called it plagiarism was a bit out of place that he left weight to his position regarding the tournament in Mildian and I take objectivity from the true sense of that arc that was to find information about Valkyrie and although we knew later, make a farewell with Homura.

Seeing that he also likes Jojo and Hokuto no Ken waits for them to publish volume 9 and will say that Laguna is a plagiarism of JoJo designs xD.

I say this because if you analyze the sales that Edens Zero has had you can conclude two things mainly:

1. The manga sold a decent amount because like Fairy Tail with Rave, the name Hiro Mashima was enough for people to be interested in buying it, only that unlike EZ, FT always increased its sales for each volume they took out , while EZ is decreasing, now you can find the counter if you compare it with Samurai 8, so here would go my second point.

2. There was a moment of break, Guilst's bow was the decadent to this decrease and Digitails ends it, they were two bows that they didn't like and it will be difficult to recover what was lost, which we see with Mildian sales, there are Many people who do not read the manga weekly like us, and only buy the volume and its conclusion can be rushed, such as: Why do they make an arch of a tournament that will not serve anything besides the location of Vakyrie? It looks as if it were a way to lengthen the sleeve. But those people don't know the intention of that arc. It can be a reason why people lose interest.

And well, I at FT although its sales have declined, they are still decent, enough to remain the best-selling manga of the App Magazine Pocket despite being biweekly and not being drawn by Hiro, for me FT has already done its job And what you do now is going to be profit for the franchise, regardless of whether it goes up or down.

Yes, but for some that's how plagiarism is.

But it's mostly on FT in short that people are cruel with it.

When mashima winks / pays homage to another manga, haters say it's plagiarism, it's a shame and co.

The shot of shanks / gildarz, the corsair / oracion 6, the fight kioka vs erza etc.

There in EZ with erzy tribute to albator, the tribute tribute tournament to DB.

On the other hand OP is entitled to him, no problem it's never plagiarism, but you even have some who say that it's not tribute / wink.

Because it is OP who invented everything if we quote them.

As a well-known example, the kaihoken / gear 2, everyone sees the wink / tribute, but some other not say that its nothing to do with it.

You have those who troll and those who say / think for real.

Basically everything OP has done you have the right to use it in other manga, pirate, sea, animals humanoid, giant, samurai, robot, zombie etc.

In NNT some shouted because there are giant in it.

For EZ 1st chapter it was that, travel in space = sea voyage, found mother = found the OP.

And I do not deny it, Sun Jewel is the best arc that Hiro has made since Tartaros, but the issue here is sales, try to understand why both Edens Zero and FT 100YQ are decreasing their sales, especially EZ that are falling very quickly .

1: well no, unfortunately, we fan of Rave, we told these people to read rave to show them another mashima work.

They say they have read the manga and have come to tell us that it was just as crappy / bad / cliché / banal and co .and that the drawing is really ugly.

Even if we told them it was the first mashima manga.

2: At least for Guilst it will have had to last longer, saw the tension in it, I wanted to be more afraid for Rebecca.

Yes but it is not very professional, nor very neutral of the employee the term plagiarism even if it is parenthesis.

The fan (s) speaks of wink / tribute as for Erzy with Albator.

But this is already the case for Laguna XD, the haters have already said that it is a plagiarism of JOJO.

Thought the sells went down is because Mashima didn't say anything about latest volume saying this time and fans missed to buy it accordingly.

Well, some people just don't like derivative works. In order for something to be special they feel like it has to be utterly new and original. Which is a perfectly fine opinion to have.

Though I tend to think "original" is something that is very subjective in the first place. Like Kimitsu no Yaiba is the big thing right now. They're is nothing new about the concept of a demon slayer or a big bad demon man he's chasing around that spawns other demons. But some people feel it is because they never read or watched Inuyasha or the dozens other series that played in that sandbox first from which Kimitsu takes a lot of inspiration.

Anyway when people don't like something sometimes they don't express themselves very well. Because maybe they don't know the difference between "derivative work" and "plagiarism". They use the one that sounds more dramatic. Which is, unfortunately, inaccurate.

-----------------------

Though, to be honest, I tend not to care too much about what other people think of the series I enjoy. People can say whatever they like and Pino's smile will always warm my heart. :p

That's the problem, people do not know what they want concretely.

Originality is more than subjective because what does it mean concretely?

And even when it is, people complain for various reasons.

Kimestu has nothing original in itself or could compare it to Bleach or Inuyasha or anything else, yet this is not the case, in any case I was not seen any commentary that said it.

And even less to say it's a plagiarism, XD.

So much Inuyasha is starting to get old, but good Bleach there is not that old.

Well, no, from what I read, many see it as a story / plot 100% original.

Considering the thermae used in many cases it is not right to not know how to express XD, when its part in insult, plagiarism and co.

Protect this smile :).

France still has big love for it though. It take time for Japan while Western side are steadily warming up to it as they see it's going different path more. Anime should help boost it once it comes around and it be next hit in industry more.

In France we love mashima as I said before it's sad that in Japan he is not as much loved / appreciated for his work.

With us, it is always on top and it is always very well sold.

For the joke, we said with others on a French discord that soon mashima would stop making manga to please Japan but would do it for us French XD.

In mode '' 'osef from japan, you don't like me so I'm going where I like "" ".

After I don't know, if it is so high in the rankings of other countries?

The rankings of other countries should be compared.

Doubt Japan hate the series. Just not enough publicity for it and also need anime to help show it for those to read it to see how great it is. It take time, so don't fret.

This does not seem to be the opinion of the Japanese unfortunately T-T; sales do not go up but go down and EZ is not well placed in the rankings.

In the last census in any case.
eh how do you know that? Can you post some proof?
