Isn't that a bit too extreme and complicated?I wouldn't be surprised if Escanor has FOUR forms, one for every 6 hour period. That would more match with his legend, and the time scales we have been given in the manga.

If we are working based off of the possibility he has three forms, weak, buff, and old, four forms isn't that extreme or complicated imo.Isn't that a bit too extreme and complicated?
Useless? I disagree. He might have lose some his strength at least. I think Vampire King knowing that he couldn't kill him with physical atttacks he manipulated time around him to kill him by giving him 100+ years but Escanor finished him off before that happened. Sadly he couldn't get revert these changes. My theory of course.
I don't believe that Merlin is responsible for posters.
.
So why Nakaba in chapter 103 gave us old Escanor? If anything, it would be perfect time to change him because this was a chapter when second arc started.

. Even in terms of clothing he changed from his gentleman like style to a more skinny type of clothing lol not to mention he doesn't wear an armor like in before in the flashback while all the sins including Ban have their armor. So clearly there's a bunch of changes that were made compared to the beginning. That's incognitop's theory, three forms ( skinny buffed and old) during the day. Hansmith's theory is that the old form is the result of the vampire king accelerating time to make Escanor age which i just explained why I don't agree with it.Hansmith has a point. It's possible he has three forms, and his third one is the one with the beard, he said in the last chapter that morning was coming, it's coming but it's not morning yet. He could have the old man appearance when morning comes.
Thanks LolaThat's incognitop's theory, three forms ( skinny buffed and old) during the day. Hansmith's theory is that the old form is the result of the vampire king accelerating time to make Escanor age which i just explained why I don't agree with it.
While I don't agree with incognitop's theory 100% it is plausible and would be a nice reference to the Sphinx' enigma if you guys are familiar with it and would even be close to the arthurian legends.

I'm just giving credit when it's due. I also think the old form could be used later on, maybe it's actually a relative of Escanor that would have to be human. If not it could be an imposter in the poster lol. And finally it could just be that someone (Merlin) lifted his curse and he doesn't have to change during the day(assuming that is his curse). But the drawback is that he aged prematurelyThanks Lola
Anyway, I think if Escanor will not resemble his wanted poster in any way due to any reason, then the person in the wanted poster will still be significant. Nakaba doesn't waste a single letter or single picture in Taizai. If Escanor ends up not being old for whatever reason, then the person in the wanted poster might be someone close to him, like Gawain.
No idea given he was still sealed with the others in theory so it still needs to get explained. I theorized it was Fraudrin's doing when the chapter came out but there are some missing pieces. Like his motivation and the possiblity of Mel recognizing him.Possible. Perhaps someone who wanted to take the fall for him. How was Estarossa even mistaken for Mel?
Hmmm. Maybe a Goddess cursed Escanor? I mean there are several hints of this.I'm just giving credit when it's due. HAHA someone got auto-correctedFraurinks

I'm using a tablet that's why I'm making those typos so i apologize in advance for any typos.Hmmm. Maybe a Goddess cursed Escanor? I mean there are several hints of this.
1) Ban opening the door to where the Horn to talk to the Goddesses is located. The door is a lion and he pulls its teeth out. (In the anime, they just showed the doorknob as a lion) Escanor is the Lion's sin.
2) Divine Axe Rhitta. The design with angel's wings..... can't be a coincidence can it?
3) Changing in the morning. Stepping into the dawn and becoming enlightened. After achieving enlightenment, you ascend and take your place among the Gods. This somewhat generic tale sort of mirrors Escanor's condition.
So a goddess cursed Escanor at birth (for whatever reason I don't know). Merlin (possibly being a goddess herself, but i'll save the speculation on that for your Merlin thread) uses absolute cancel or something else to release Escanor from the curse. However, like the demon seal that Hendy unleashed, there is a back up or a fail safe that caused Escanor to age in the process.
I like it.
HAHA someone got auto-corrected![]()
Eh don't think too much on it. I poke fun just because your posts are so well organized and thought-out and I just thought it was funny seeing you say Fraurink lol!I'm using a tablet that's why I'm making those typos so i apologize in advance for any typos.
It's funny you bring the doorknob thing I saw a vid on YT yesterday and it had that theory and I explained why I don't think it's related to Escy but more with the kingdom of Liones having the lion as a symbol. As for the curse itself I don't think he was cursed at birth rather it is related to his sin of pride and the Goddess clan cursed him as a retribution.
. Still thanks for the compliment.
.
.Escanor is kinda like the star of the special so I expect that the next part will focus on his fight and I want him to take out the vampire king all by himself
. But it could be that Mel is the one who will kill him and create the crater in the process, but the blasted out castle could be the result of Escanor's power. I hope so.
yeah I can sorta picture it. The vampires will be defeated as the sins are regrouping, and one of them says the Vampire King will avenge them. And right at that moment the king is blown through the wall and he is all messed up. Then Escanor walks in looking all badass and stuff (this is where King and Diane don't want him to become their enemy, seeing him destroy the Vamp King by himself). You find my posts organized I find them quite messy on the contrary. Still thanks for the compliment.
Yeah he did say that but he might be overreacting there. Or he really was born with it and I would find it odd and unfair to curse a child for somthing he hasn't done. The Goddesses are cruel.
Regarding the next part and how it ends both parts ended on a shot of Escanor and they were quite the opposite.Escanor is kinda like the star of the special so I expect that the next part will focus on his fight and I want him to take out the vampire king all by himself
. But it could be that Mel is the one who will kill him and create the crater in the process, but the blasted out castle could be the result of Escanor's power. I hope so.
No hint about that? What for that early? When? When they were going to Zaratras it was a day so this was strong Escanor. IIRC Nakaba only changed 2 SK so far (so small changes) and I don't think there will be any with larger caliber. Remember that we still don't know how Edinburgh's accident ended. Escanor might be older by VK, his personality changed a bit because of that (older people act different than younger ones). Don't forget that he is near MerlinThat was way before the special came out. Maybe when he sat down and started drawing it he decided that it would be cooler to have Escy's personality change during the day. Also back then there was no hint to him having this problem either. Even in terms of clothing he changed from his gentleman like style to a more skinny type of clothing lol not to mention he doesn't wear an armor like in before in the flashback while all the sins including Ban have their armor. So clearly there's a bunch of changes that were made compared to the beginning.
Also accelerating time 100+ years should be a bit different and considerably more difficult to achieve than having permanent night time. And if he could make him into an oldman in that moment why not turn him into a toddler instead, that would really make him useless in their fight. If the vampire king can manipulate time in such a manner then it should work in both ways either make him an old man or make him revert to a defenseless baby and finish him off for good.
so he acts like gentelman (when he was younger I don't think he was capable doing this).
you know what....I wonder if what Merlin stole is Mel's ability to create craters![]()

i can't picture him without blonde hair.I hope the next cover features Escanor so that we get his color scheme. I hope he doesn't have pink hair or some weird color like that![]()
