Discussion Egghead Arc, Wants and Expectations

Basically, what you want and think will happen during this arc.
Here a couple of things that I think will happen during this arc for example.
- Like I think that this arc will be like a combition of Punk Hazard and Zou In that will get alot more lore about the DF's and that it will be more of a set up and answer arc.
- It will be between 30 to 50 chapters long.
- Assuming that there is a main antagonist this arc it will be a Marine, probley Kizaru or Greenbull as they the only ones that I can see that would be a threat to the crew this late in the game from the marines.
- We will get the backstories for Kuma, Bonney, and Vegpunk this arc.
- Learn what exactly happened during reverie.
- The history of MADS.
- Will learn why Momo's fruit was considered a failure.
- That will learn more about the Lunarians and maybe about a bit that mystery race that supposedly went extinct.
- Learn more about Luffy's Df power and its history.
Theirs alot more things I can think of, but I don't feel like typing them all up. Anyway, post what you expect or would like from this arc here.

What I expect and what I'm pretty sure about:

- Origin and true nature of Devil Fruits explained (as Oda teased such already in SBS "When a certain professor is introduced...")
- Bonnies story seems like a given. This obviously also ties into Kuma and his story.
- Encounter with the Seraphim (Classic Chehovs weapon, they weren't mentioned by Helmeppo just to be ignored the rest of the arc)
- Encounter with some marines. With how the arc was setup with the SWORD meeting and VP affiliation with them, feels given. Sentoumaru, Smoker and Helmeppo seem likely candidates.
- Big Franky moment. He has been the most sidelined SH for a long while now. This if nothing should be to some extent his arc.

What I want, but am not so sure will actually happen:

- Space Pirates. This theory was already brought up by @Organizized and some others here as well. Egghead, Vegapunks weirdly shaped silhouettes, and the fact that the Space Pirates Jolly Roger had a long egghead skull. If not an appearance by Space Pirates, then atleast a bit in Vegapunks backstory. Also this leads hopefully to...
- Return of Enel. I'd like to see that psycho again
- OR if "Egghead" has nothing to do with aliens and space, then I hope it's related to the egg on Rogers Ship
- A very long Vegapunk flashback, that gives us insights on Space Pirates, Lunarians, MADS, World Government, Devil Fruits, Kuma, Revolutionaries and shit ton of other new lore and knowledge of the world of OP

There are lots of plot points that will probably get answered in this arc, but I'd like to look at a less obvious choice:

I honestly think that this is the perfect moment for Dragon and the Revolutionaries to show up and finally interact with Luffy.
Kuma needs to be fixed, and they seriously need to know about what he saw back at Mary Geoise. After what happened to Sabo, I think they're in a hurry.

They have a scientist and all, but I doubt he'd be able to just completely revert Vegapunk's work.
Not only that, but the pieces seem to be moving in that direction. I've always been curious about how the story would lead us towards Luffy and the revolutionaries finally interacting, and now their agendas seem to match.

There's also the thing with Tashigi being right next to Egg-Head, so Smoker's probably around.
Luffy, Dragon and Smoker finally reunited.

I agree that this is most likely the current direction, but I don't this meeting will happen on Egghead. That meeting with the Revolution is the Wholecake Island, while Egghead is Zou. The setup is happening now, but it will be the next step on the journey after this.

Or so I predict atleast.

I could honestly see it go both ways, but I do agree that Egg-Head might not be a big arc.

I think a massive conflict will start here, that might include stuff like Ancient Giants and/or a giant Bird-like creature, and we'll move to the next stage, but that transition needs to be forced by someone.

I think this arc might include Blackbeard, the Revolutionaries, or both.

About that egg that was on Rogers ship.
Will learn who started SWORD or a hint.
Get Weeble's bounty.
Will get more about Rocks.

Could be indeed a Revolutionary link. My head canon though for until proven otherwise, is that Croc is a trans man.

Are you aware that there's a theory that's been going on for years, that he's actually Luffy's mother?

I kinda like it, and I think there are some merits to the reasoning.

Yeah, I've seen it. I get where the theory is coming from, but it is a bit too much for me. And Revolutionaries like Iva wouldn't know of it, since they were surprised to find out Dragon had a son in the first place. And I do not see OP as the kind of series, where a mother would actually kill his son unknowingly (as this is what Croc actually thought he had done at the time). That's just too Shakespeare imho.

Other than what was mentioned above, I do expect Franky, Usopp and by extension Nami to get a powerup thanks to Vegapunk's tech.

What I expect from this arc are:

• Explanation of how DFs work - including what they change in a person, how they reincarnate, what makes it possible for items to consume zoans, and what makes zoans unique compared to the other categories
• How Vegapunk ended up working with the WG, specifically think that he was coerced into the role
• What Vegapunk has been doing to undermine WG this whole time and them finding out about it
• Vegapunk's role in whatever happened in Lulusia kingdom
• The Revolutionaries involvement with Vegapunk and their potential interference with the assassination attempt
• Kuma having his mind back and reuniting with Bonney
• CP0 and marines getting dealt a big loss because of the SHs
• Franky gaining a huge power up that culminates in a giant mecha the size of an Ancient Giant
• Revelation about what MADs was after as a group

Since we are close to the end and a lot of SHs cannot use Haki which seems necessary in a 1 vs. 1 Yonko crew battle I would expect Vegapunk to have some technology to help people awaken their latent Haki. Seems logical in an arc partly dedicated to DF and Haki understanding.

What I want from this arc:

- True origin of devil fruits
- Explanation of BB's unique body structure and how he's been able to steal devil fruit powers
- Kuma & Bonney's flashback (I've got my tissues ready)
- Upgrades for Franky
- SOMETHING FROM USOPP PLEASE
- Finding out if Lucci and Kaku have new hybrid forms (maybe vegapunk created a better version of chopper's rumble ball)
- Bounties for the BB members fighting Law (Law mentioned their bounties increasing a lot in this week's chapter)
- Vegapunk feeling guilty about what happened to wano re: SMILE fruits and vowing to cure them

What i want or i expect this Arc is off the Charts and dont really know where to start:

Expectations:

Double to Triple Family reunion. Kuma as person and with his Charachter as seraphine, make a tripe to egghead Island. Both dont know, Ruffy and Bonney are there. Only for saving Vegapunk. Dragon meets his Son the first time in person.
Vegapunk reveling missing Century and History, reveal the Will of D. , reveal where and how Devilfruit works and why some can hold more then one.
Vegapunk upgrade, Lysop (i expect a Devilfruit in his Plant weapon), Zeus inside namis Weapon as DF, Sanjis Germa Suite upgrade, Upgrade Franky
Vegapunk reveals that the WG useing Uranus or has the controll over it.

Hellmeppo reaching Egghead Island asking for help, ruffy hear BB has Corby, fusion of Kuma Person and Kuma seraphine, reveals he is the same race as King.
Reveals the superstrong Devilfruits and the Will of D, is each and remaing Soul of the Lunarian Race. (Black Wings + Fire = Devilfruitpower)


From here on lets the Fun begins:

Cp0 vs. Dragon/Revolution Army
Akoji vs Law Crew
Akoji vs Akainu (Corby rescue Arc)
BB Crew vs Luffy + Hellmeppo (saving Corby from EggHead Island Arc)
Akainu vs Ruffy (Ace revenge fight) Akainu seeing JoyBoy for first time and this bring anyone onto alert.

What i wish:
Akoji betrays BB freeing Corby, who he met in W7 and joining the Revolution Army. And get better along with Robin.

I love that out of the myriad arcs where "ENEL COMES BACK" is always the most memeably dumb fun prediction, Egghead is actually the first arc where that actually might happen. Imagine Enel Face 2.0 when Luffy catches him in lightning form, rubberizes him and uses him as an attack.

I'm pretty positive Coby and Aokiji are on the same page and it involves pitting the Blackbeard Pirates against the Cross Guild.

What had better happen this arc or I riot: EVERYTHING ABOUT DEVIL FRUITS. The mystery has lasted long enough, we've finally met "a certain professor" who has just said he's dying soon. This arc is *the* time for this. My biggest point of confusion about DF lore is that we know zoans contain a lineage factor (DNA) that carries with it some of the will or instincts of the creature that went into making it. But we also know that logia alter the user's lineage factor since Kizaru's DNA was used for PX Pacifista, and at least we can make the sort of logical leap that elements of the environment have their own 'will' or 'instincts' to some abstract degree. So that begs the question: what the hell are paramecia supposed to be?!

Another thing I would like to learn is how Rob Lucci and Kaku got into Cp0 because before the time skip him and the rest of his unit where considered enemies of the world government and were going after Spandam.

In CP9 cover story, Spandam tried to capture the rest of the CP9 to shift the blame of his failure on them

I guess once they escaped, their pursuit was over
