Lol, not even close, but nice wank.
I mean she still has to be somewhat strong right

I doubt Prime Meliodas fell in love with the first weakling but kind goddess/human/fairy/giant he saw (there must've been a lot that crossed his path, and he probably killed them all)

But he fell in love with Elizabeth only, why? Here's my theory

Now we all know that Elizabeth has a crazy strong talk no jutsu, she can persuade just about anybody to chill, and from what we saw it clearly worked on Meliodas

But that's weird right, I doubt prime Meliodas would just listen and not...idk kill her right here and there

Meaning that 3000 years ago, Elizabeth must've been able to resist prime Meliodas in some capacity, either by preventing him from hurting her or other people, while saying to him something like "I won't let you hurt anyone but I won't hurt you either so get lost"

Knowing Meliodas this situation must've gone on for hours, imagine his ego, most powerful demon can't put a scratch on some girl

This can get worse, maybe she pinned him down and lectured him until he turned good

I mean it makes sense right, how else would Elizabeth convince armies not to fight, don't tell me no one ever ignored her and attacked.

Of course it happened but she just put them back in their place and forced them to listen.
That's what Naruto had to do, no one listened to Naruto until they had no choice, Zabuza, Gaara, Pain, Obito, and Sasuke told him to stfu until they were lying on the ground half dead

Not saying Elizabeth was breaking any bones, but she definitely had the means to talk to someone against his will

Hell, if she was stronger than DK and SD she would've successfully talked them into stopping the war

He said that he loved her at first sight lmao, your headcanon makes no sense.

That shit happened in shonen, Vegeta loved Bulma because she is strong right?

She is useless and a decoy to the background, she barely do anything lol.

1. My bad I forgot about chapter 271, but it's still bizarre for him to just switch in a day because of a crush.

2. What does it have to do with the shonen genre? Did I mention the shonen genre? Romance is romance, it has nothing to do with it being in a manga, a movie, a TV show, or life.
Meliodas and Vegeta are very different individuals and met their SO at very different times of their life.
And to be fair Vegeta married the smartest non-deity individual in the DB verse, have you seen someone else invent a time machine? And she has a crazy strong personality too.
Also by the time vegeta and bulma got together there were no strong females in DB, none, not a single one, not like Vegeta had any choices.
Even then nothing says strong protagonists have to get strong lovers, it's just that in Meliodas's case it didn't make sense for me, still doesn't.

3. "She is useless and a decoy to the background", she singlehandedly Kickstarted the plot, motivated a lot of other characters progressions, clutched 2 important fights and oh yeah is one of the most important characters in the now main plot. Or maybe you have something against healers. Sure she doesn't throw suns at people but does she need to to be relevant? No. We have enough fighters everywhere, like literally everywhere in NNT.

Speaking of dragon ball, if you think Elizabeth has to be a badass to matter, what you think of bulma must be abysmal.

1. 271 has two implications at least: that it was instant or that it was the start of a progressive change. We have the Eli knowing Mel when mael was young but fighting the matured and grown mael to imply the second possibility. And I finally realized how we can reason this time “odditity” of zel being younger than mael but being with Gelda while mael was so young looking. Simply because zel is short. Thinking about it, there may be very little difference between a 50 year old zel and a 200 year old zel because either way he stopped at 5 feet tall. The same as mel.

Nope, you still ignore that romance has zero logic, that people fall in love and are attracted for no reason.

Vegeta is a warrior, he couldn't care less about that in that time and yet, it happened.
Same for Sasuke, the dark boy.

How it is bizarre for him to fall for s crush lmao, you think that Mel is a priest for sexual attraction or what lol.

If you see all the woman from the strong protagonists in shonen, they are all weak at shit.
Hinata, Sakura, Orihime, and so on.

I feel like Elizabeth becoming the Supreme Deity (or at least striving to be) wouldn't be out of character for her, considering she wants to save Meliodas (but currently lacks the power for it) and has a heavy wish to bring peace to all the clans, something that she can definitely do if she ascends to God status.

Many people don't want Meliodas & Elizabeth to end the series as the ''New Gods'' for the series, but considering they both want to be together and ultimately bring peace to everywhere, it shouldn't be unrealistic.

They may not be able to be present in the real world, but what's stopping the reality of them bringing peace as Gods, then going off to their own dimension to live together as lovers?

This is now a question and after spending an hour plus typing this, I feel it deserves it’s own thread~

TLDR typing this on phone, not going to elaborate much but its annoying AF to see all the elizabeth fans trying to use this feat to scale her up to being relevant when we haven’t seen her have any feats other than the whale... ( I don’t count purifying Indura as a feat, will explain why)

she’s still weaker than a majority of the cast and would lose to them in a 1v1 situation from what we have been shown... people try to say... “hEy ShE lAnDeD a HiT oN mEliOdAs mAyBe ShE iS rElEvAnT”

My FIRST Point is, common tropes in anime is when a character is off guard it’s far easier to hurt them.

GENIN Naruto gets hit by Neji by the 64 palms, and countless other times... with him having been established as the “strongest genin” and had byakugan for quite some time... and he didn’t falter, skip to Boruto and you have Hokage Naruto being one shot by his daughter who just awakened the byakugan due to the fact that he wasn’t on guard against her.

Other notable examples would be

-When Goku got hurt by a bullet as an adult, yet as a child it was already established he had bullet immunity.

-Merlin taking Meliodas’ magic

-When Goku got shot by a laser and was incapacitated

-When android 17 hurt Jiren

So why would this be any different in her case huh?

my SECOND Point is, sure... i’m open to the fact that Elizabeth may someday show some potential or actual feats... but as of now i’m convinced she is just fitted to the classic damsel in distress / healer role, see Orihime from bleach...

my THIRD Point is, say she does have the potential to be strong... ok? what does that change? she has little to no shown battle experience, and lacks the mentality to fight as well as hates to see others, even her enemies harmed ( she did somewhat grow up and mature some, but not emough) getting back to the third point, Orihime had the power as stated by Aizen to

“Orihime fully restored Grimmjow's destroyed arm from nothing. Sōsuke Aizen describes this as "The Rejection of Events". Her ability is to limit, reject, and negate any kind of event that has happened”

And that should be stupid levels of broken, but she stayed somewhat irrelevant in combat situations as I presume Elizabeth will~ so even if she had any power, without the mentality and ability to properly utilize it... she’s well... weaker than literally pigs.

Hawk Mama - Mother of Chaos, who has the feats of surviving 52 HITS OF combo star which I might add is 10200000 pounds of force ( LMFAO )

Then she simply got up ... walking it off as if nothing happened... no diff’d an entire group of red and grey demons ate Monspiets flame bird with no repercussions...

Hawk - Survived 53 hits of combo star, multiple hits from Demon King Meliodas ( LMAO ) and has that unexplained resurrection ability.

Wild - Wild full throttle, nuff said

-Why purifying Indura isn’t a good feat to go on.

1. It wasn’t even a lone feat, Sarmiel and Tarmiel help her

2. That wasn’t even an attack, she just as an angel had the ability of purification... not like it would work on others

3. The Indura were getting stronger and actually driving her back :/

“She’s going to be driven back” - Meliodas
“Shes being pressured” - Sarmiel
“Why of course she is” - Tarmiel

4. After that she literally passed out the next chaper and Meliodas caught her

First of all it is pretty much clear Elizabeth is not strong like everyone is hoping in AA's level. Although she has a unique ability to heal an entire army and thats about it. In other words shes just OP in healing. It creates a huge amount of magic to heal an entire army but because shes as submissive as fuck all that powers that probably SD was hoping Ely could use in a fight is wasted. Just take a look back on the previous chapters Ely didnt fight to save others despite of his high level of magic. The only thing she did was to heal and heal because thats the way she is, unfortunately. So thats about it Ely is not strong as a fighter because a fighter do what he or she is suppose to do in a given situation when needed most which Ely isnt capable of doing because of her being submissive. So her flaw of being submissive makes her weak.

She's not weak, Nakaba just can't write her character properly.

That’s like saying “Sakura’s not useless in Naruto she just wasn’t written properly”

She is weak, she was never meant to be strong as that’s how he wrote her~ He is after all the author and if he wants to portray her as a damsel... he will

She couldn’t even hurt Estarossa, then he proceeded to basically choke her out lol...

To be frank, even Galand would beat her using what little she has been able to show up to now.

I don’t understand why some people come to the conclusion that she’s strong to begin with, in terms of team support... she is god tier and probably the strongest in this category ( nvm ban replaced her LOL ) Alright second strongest... but in terms of 1v1 fighting... pretty sure she’s gonna lose to practically everyone post season 2... heck, even Demon Hendrickson could probably blitz her so i’m being generous

You've already lost this argument given how you decided to bring in a comparison which focuses on ''usefulness'' rather than outright strength.

Oh, and just for arguments sake, Sakura wasn't entirely useless, she had her moments where Naruto/Sasuke would've died without her.

She is weak, she was never meant to be strong as that’s how he wrote her~ He is after all the author and if he wants to portray her as a damsel... he will
It's easy to deduce from this statement that you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

''She is weak, she was never mean't to be strong as that's how he wrote her'' - Oh really? Care to explain why he had every single AA praise her power upon multiple occasions then? Or why he decided to implement an objective system which gauged a Goddesses strength (wings) which placed Elizabeth at the top of the Goddess clan? Or why he decided to have Mael outright imply Elizabeth had comparable power to himself & Ludoshel?

Aside from these things, why did he have Elizabeth save the AA's and defeat the Indura whom easily overpowered 3AA's just seconds before? If she was never supposed to be written as a strong character, then why did Nakaba (the author) decide to outright state & confirm that her power is essentially equal to Ludoshel/Mael?

She couldn’t even hurt Estarossa, then he proceeded to basically choke her out lol...
Once again you have absolutely no idea what you're talking about.

Elizabeth was cursed to reincarnate as a human, whom directly stated herself doesn't hold the same power she once did as a full-fledged Goddess during the 1ST Holy War - so criticising Elizabeth's strength in a weakened form is a weak argument, it's like me trying to outright suggest that Galan could solo Peak Mel because he did so when Mel lost all his strength.

Also, the AA's outright said that the ark they used (and by extension, Elizabeth) was ineffective because ''Estarossa'' was Mael all along, the mightiest AA who has a resistance to ark, unlike demons whom have a weakness against it.

Elizabeth was unable to injure ''Estarossa'' because she doesn't have the same strength she had during her prime whilst contributing to the fact that Mael is the strongest AA and has a biological resistance against ark, it's not surprising why she failed.

So it's not Elizabeth was at her full strength and failed to do damage, it was because she was cursed to be weak and had to fight against someone who had a resistance against her ark.

To be frank, even Galand would beat her using what little she has been able to show up to now.
Either you're delusional or down-right trolling me.

Goddess Elizabeth outright threatened to fight five of the commandments if they decided to pursue against Meliodas, how is Galan going to beat her? He would be downright annihilated given how Goddess Elizabeth (Prime, not cursed to be weak) was equal in strength to Ludoshel and we saw what he did to the 10C's...

Because the author confirmed on multiple occasions that Goddess Elizabeth is on a comparable field of power with Mael, Ludoshel & Prime Meliodas - individuals who are essentially at the top of the ladder for power.

Your argument revolves around Elizabeth when she's cursed to be inherently weak and as such doesn't hold the power she once had as a comparable to Ludoshel/Mael - it's a flawed argument. It's like me trying to outright imply that Meliodas was written to be weak because Nakaba once had him at a PL of 3,000.

She's not weak, Nakaba just decided to write a curse which inherently makes her weakened whilst implementing situations which directly create inconsistencies in her character.

He's an awful author, that's it really.

She's always had a great potential, but has never actually exceeded Ludo. Induras were not even dangerous enough for Ludo to use his grace, and had it not been for the independent decision of Sar and Tar to join Eli,
Elizabeth & Ludoshel are roughly equal in strength to each other. Elizabeth has far superior magic power/versatility in ark, but is weaker in other categories of strength in comparison to Ludoshel who has a grace to enhance his speed.

Ludoshel used ''Flash'' against the Indura's, go read the fight again please.

AA's could easily kill both of the. We saw what wrath of Enlil did to Esta and the reason he was able to survive was his angelic nature. What could Induras do if they were transported to that dimention and were attacked by the graces? They would easily get annihilated.
What? ''Estarossa'' survived because he absorbed a decree, not because of his angelic nature. Angelic nature has confirmed to only resist ark, not fellow graces. Regardless of angelic or demonic nature, without absorbing the commandment in the moment Mael as ''Estarossa'' would've been murdered by Enlil.

Since 3000 years ago up until now, Eli has always been weaker than all of AAs.
She's not though, you have nothing to prove that she is weaker to the Four Archangels other than moments where she struggles in her human body which is already confirmed to be weaker than her real body.

In her prime, she had comparable power to Ludoshel & Mael (outside of noon. duh) which
And MAEL BELIEVING HER TO BE EQUAL TO HIMSELF AND LUDO WAS THE MOST BIASED ARGUMENT IN THE ENTIRE MANGA.
Because he totally didn't have a bias for Ludoshel as well, right?

Whether you like it or not, Elizabeth is comparable to Ludoshel/Mael in power, Nakaba confirmed that from her first appearance when he mentioned that wings are an expression of an individual's strength.

The author literally confirmed her to be AA tier, I don't care about your opinions.

Yeah, this has been a big problem with her. At one point Nakaba tries to make it seem like she will fight to get Meliodas back, but he just isn't consistent with it, she slaps him with a light-attack once and that's basically it. Even when the 2 archangels in the Mael battle die, she won't even take their Graces. And as far as she knew they were all just dead if nobody was able to stop Mael, she had no way to know King would be able to power up and beat him. She should be able to absorb at least one grace incredibly easily, and she had all her goddess memories of how to fight, so what was stopping her...Her pacifism there basically could have killed everyone.

He also does things like state her power level is on par with Ludociel or Mael, but never backs that up by having her fight. The Indura feat was a thing demonstrating her power level in the past, but Nakaba for some reason just didn't want her to ever fight in the present. Even though fighting would make a lot of sense for her if she wants them all to win that bad. Like does he realize that if DK Meliodas fought Elizabeth this would be a chance for good romance development. Not only would she be in a lot of pain to have to hurt him, but maybe Meliodas struggles better to resist the DK upon seeing that his body is attacking Elizabeth. Or the DK realizes that Mel's body's muscle memory half-refuses to hit on target with attacks, if it's against Elizabeth. But since Nakaba writes himself into a corner by making her a mere pacifist healer, he cuts off too many potential opportunities for her to show any resolve.

Yeah. I think that Indura fight would not have been successful if Sar and Tar did not help Ely. Ely is like Gohan like we know Gohan has power that could surpass Goku but ever since that Cell fight Gohan is nowhere near Goku nor at Vegeta's level. But Ely didnt prove anything just yet to really make a valid argument that shes indeed strong because we really havent seen her show how powerful she is. We only hear who knows her capability like Der who have sensed Ely thats why she approached her while Estarossa's trying to slay Der and Mael who said hes par with Ely and Ludo and thats about it. And that slap thing I think Meliodas wasnt expecting that one so he was offguard and its not a basis of her being powerful. Story is about to wrap up and we havent seen her true potential if there really is something about Ely.

Well, she might've been able to win the indura battle, but i'd guess it'd be hard if she was alone, she might have had no choice but to kill them. After all, in going for a mercy-takedown, she was already making it harder. And keep in mind that Induras are kind of mindless, so even if she had to retreat, but survived, these 2 would be effectively defeated as members of the 10 commandments either way, probably being sent to roam purgatory after then since a mindless monster probably won't be of much use in a war. It seems similar to using a life-sacrificing attack. For example let us say she had to retreat and get help from other members of the goddess clan. The Induras aren't smart enough to stop pursuing her even if she's going towards Ludociel himself for example.

The reason all the buildup for elizabeth goes nowhere is that she has had chances to fight recently and just...doesn't. Well, she did attack Estarossa, and was able to toss him quite a long distance with Ark. So there is proof she can fight high level enemies with her goddess powers.
Here:
On this page:
Trouble is, she never gets to pursue him and fight more than 5 secs since Tarmiel and Sariel take him to a pocket dimension, although knocking him into two dangerous enemies was probably all planned. So yes, we never get to see anything that could be called a consistent fighting style from elizabeth other than single sudden attacks, it is a shame.

She also for some reason she didn't do anything against the Sinner. That's because he was oneshot casually by Mael but still. Similarily you have the final fight where she never attacks Meliodas. You would think of all people she would be the one to do it but no.

About that Induras its just so funny those 2 have fought well against Ludociel's original body and he got trashed. In comparison against original demon Ludo, who doesnt have his original body, was able to destroy OD. Back to Ely I think she couldnt deal thise 2 Induras because she was pushed back of their powers that kept getting surging as time passes, as per Meliodas, so without Sar and Tar help she could not have purified Mons and Der. And that Estarossa thingy, Estarossa was goofing, not serious and not paying attention like emotionless Mel who got slapped. Yes Sariel have said he was amazed how Esta managed to be unscathed with Ely's arc but yet again that doesnt prove anything that shes strong. The only thing Elizabeth proved shes strong was when the first blow of SD and DK, she was able to keep up with Mel in a battle stance with some aura sword shes holding. Although it is still up in the air what exactly happens which I think NS forgotten to expound. Heres my hinch though SD will appear through a vessel and I think at that time Ely would be able to showcase her OP'ness fighting hand in hand together with Mael or against him.

She is just going to be left a damsel in distress forever, it's already the epilogue. No way does SD come back at this point. At best they are able to communicate with SD/the goddess clan across realms. I doubt a fight will happen when they just killed the demon king with relative ease.

So out of boredom and wanting to reread the Escanor vs AM Mel fight I kept reading.
I noticed that in chapter 235 the DK tells Zeldoris that he placed the curse upon Ellie.
Chapter 248 Meliodas says the SD placed the curse on Ellie.
In 251 you get Rueduciel saying it was the SD who placed it.
And of course after all that recently we learned it was the DK.

Just thought I'd mention this tidbit.

Side Note: I miss Estarossa.
