Hi all!

What do you thinks about endeavor's last performance ?
I was expecting much more from the no.1, i'm a bit disappointed.

when i think about numbers 1, in my mind i see whitebeard or yamamoto (they showed a different performance).

Do you think that endeavor power are good for the number 1? Or he should be stronger?

I think he did the best he could have done. It's not like Endeavor became the No. 1 because he was the strongest. He became the No. 1 because All Might was forced to retire and Endeavor was the next one in rank. All Might is like Whitebeard and Endeavor is like Marco, both Endeavor and Marco are strong but they aren't even close to the strength of All Might and Whitebeard and will never come close to it.

Well this is the story about how Deku became the world's greatest hero. If anything that says to me that this current top 10 have nothing but death flags surrounding them.

Its has been repeated multiple times that society is losing fate in heroes and more and more villains are popping up thanks to Stains ideology. We're going to see these top 10 heroes be wrecked, defeated, and destroyed multiple times in till the hero society falls apart forcing Deku and friends to step up and rebuild what it means to be a hero. Those are the hints I get anyways from this story.

What where you expecting exactly from his performance? For the most part Endeavor was fighting an uphill battle from the start with High End having: body morphing abilities, strength enhancement, flight, and near perfect regeneration its a miracle that Endeavor was even able to kill High End at all. As far as powers go for being good at being #1 its subjective really because any quirk can be #1 level if the right circumstances are met. In my opinion I see nothing wrong with his quirk "power" seeing as being a ranked hero isn't about power its about crime/rescue accomplishments, and public opinion. If being a ranked hero was really about power nearly all of the quirks that we currently know about in the top 10 wouldn't be in the position they are currently in.

Regeneration was the only reason Endeavor had trouble. The first Prominence Burn would've finished him off had High End not torn his head off. He's plenty strong enough. Hell, through his attempts to surpass All Might, I'd say he's probably the strongest by a decent margin. Not as strong as All Might, but higher than the next ranked.

As a #1 Hero, Endeavour performed expertly and did what was expected.

TBH He did far better than I thought was possible. It was confirmed his body did heat up when using his quirk (predictable) but even then he was able to sustain himself in the air while using it and used attacks of a rather massive escale. It's reasonable to think his attacks could have such a escale but seeing him use them several times with his weakness kinda underplays how much of a weakness he has.

Another thing I was surprised about was his physical endurance. I thought the manga was a bit more grounded in regards to how much physical endurance you could have without a quirk. Of course before this we had ample evidence of what we'd think of superhuman feats (stain jumping from buildings, the teachers being able to move with the weights during the exam...) but I had still assumed the cap was well beneath surviving two falls from a large building.

The fight seriously raised the stakes when it comes to what heroes without quirks that enhance their durability can do and survive.

  • Stain reducing Todoroki's ice to chunks with a battered katana and his ability to shake off a 5% Smash from Izuku's Full Cowl despite his Quirk having no apparent strength-enhancement might seem like a case of Charles Atlas Superpower, but given the nature of Quirks and how they can combine as they're passed down from parents to children, it's entirely possible that his Quirk could be a hybrid with some sort of physical enhancement from somewhere in his ancestry. This might also explain why some characters have odd appearances that seem unrelated to their Quirks—for example, Kouda of Class 1-A looks like a rock monster but his Quirk is talking to animals, and Tokoyami's bird head seems to have no connection to Dark Shadow other than the aesthetic. This could mean that their Quirks are technically hybrid Quirks that present secondary/vestigial characteristics from their ancestry.

I guess we technically can't rule out stain having some sort of mutation going on which results in physical enhancement of some sort. Many characters have mutations that are different attributes from their quirks altogether. Still, compared to the UA teachers that also don't have access to physical enhancement it does not seem like stain is that much higher. Nighteye had substantial physical capacity, so does eraserhead.
