Mira made the statement before Jellal went to fight Jura which happened on the first day. MPF wasn’t used until the third day. So no, Mira wouldn’t have seen his performance against literally anyone or anything in GMG before making such a claim unless she can foresee the future now. Her statement must’ve simply come from his reputation and not much else.

Which is why I said the writer must have been using her to hype up Jura.

Whether you bought/are still buying into that specific hype is a completely separate topic.

Hiro used SO for Erza on the 5th day which was like 50 or so chapters later so that statement can only be held as Tenrou Erza and GMG Mira. It's like using the statement that BoS Team Natsu was the "strongest" team of FT bcs Mira said they could be lol.

I think in this arc it confirmed that fairy tail S Class mages are still above higher than the rest (except Natsu) and they are still some what equal to each other. Or just a little difference with each other strength.

*Erza was able to match Laxus though the latter won in very extreme difficulty.

*Laxus low diff Kyria. And was able to endure an enchantment swords from Demon and Dragon slayers.

*Mirajane by hype of the Guild (Natsu, Gray Lucy, Leo, Cana, Juvia and Laxus & Erza at the GMG arc) and she still able to fight on par with someone like Skullion ( who was able low diff Gray) even in her weakest form.

2. managed to gather enough
3. gathered the right kind of info
4. saw Jura at full power within her immediate vicinity

then this honestly sounds like grasping at straws. That's why I said Mirajane must've simply been used by the writer to hype up Jura as the one to beat in the tournament, further hyping Laxus once he beats him later on.

As for the bolded, Mirajane took back that statement later on and it was showed that Lucy simply misunderstood her claim. She simply said it because Erza, Natsu and Gray were the "most compatible" out of the guild, not because they were literally the most powerful team.

Kyria’s hax is annoying but so is Mira’s. In a straight fight Mira would beat her medium/high diff. Mira is closer to Laxus and Erza than Kyria is.
