Hey everyone, I went to Jump Festa today and just thought I'd show you some of the Eyeshield stuff I saw there. (All the pics were taken with my camera phone, so I apologize for the quality ahead of time.)
There were giant "statues" of many of the popular characters (Ichigo, Luffy, Naruto, etc.) and here's Sena's:
And there were booths for individual series with various activities. The Eyeshield 21 booth had a DEVILBATS tryout! There were activities like power, jump, speed and there was a card you could get stamped or something. I don't know for sure, since I didn't try. (I'd feel awkward getting into a line of mostly young kids being a 26-year-old American guy.)
Unfortunately, there was an event on stage with Inagaki-sensei and Murata-sensei and the voice actors of the Eyeshield anime that I missed by like 10 minutes. (Hirano Aya
)
Finally, they had several items of Eyeshield merch in the Original Good section. One is a notebook styled like an American Football magazine, and the other is a mug featuring all of the DEVILBATS.
And best of all is the B2-size poster of the upperclassmen vs underclassmen color spread from awhile ago!
That's it!
