I go with Ankhersam . He/she is responsible for both zeref and mavis suffering like this so it would make sense if Mashima were to make him/her the final villian .

By that , do you mean gray vs natsu . If so then yes , that WILL happen but i dont think that's gonna be the finale .
Here's my theory : Natsu defeats zeref in his E.N.D form , Gray defeats the E.N.D part of natsu , then natsu finishes off acno with his slayer magic..
I guess Ankhersam will come in after all of this [ ie if Hiro decides to give him an actual role in the series ]

I feel like if Hiro Mashima does decide to add Ankhersam to the plot as a final villain it would be like an extension to the story. Possibly like the Clannad Afterstory.

The final three villains will probably be Zeref, Acnologia, and Ankhseram in that order.

I would like a timeskip between one of these though. I'd rather see the culmination of the ships and whatever else tackled in a last arc instead of showing all that happening in the final chapters like Naruto and Bleach did. It would be cool to get the next generation of FT to get in on the action during the fight with one of these bad guys.

The thought of Ankhseram being Kaguya scares me... which is my only worry on him being the final villain. Idk if Hiro can pull it off right. But on the flipside Zeref internally fighting Ankhseram could be dope. We'll see.

I can't see Zeref as the final villain. Since Hiro like happy endings so much I think that after something Zeref and Natsu will reunite and become a happy family and Larcade will be loved. I can see both Acnologia and Ankseram becoming the final villains however I think that we should get an explanation regarding Ankseram so I can't wait for that.

Zeref seems to be too much of a good guy deep down.

I am coming around to the idea of Zeref not being a true villain in the end, since he is a good person at his core.

Still, he's leading a genocidal war effort against 2 other teams (Ishgal and Acnologia). A bit of plot and nakama stuff needs to happen in order for Zeref to be forgiven. You could argue he deserves to be cut some slack. Another thing that supports this to me is how Mashima wrote Zeref/Mavis in the Stone Age omake, he was presented in a very positive way.


If the Dragneels and Miss Beleserion are taken out, or nakamised, that would leave August. Would love for him to be the last villain of this arc.

Because Hiro is really consistent with his thoughts... If he wants to extend the story for milk, he might do just that.
Even if he intended to feature Ankhseram, he isn't going to say that when asked. That would be giving pretty big spoilers, something an author shouldn't do. Anyway, it is best if he isn't featured. Don't want to see anyone going Fairy Tail on a fucking god of life and death. Only Supernatural should be that dumb

I am pretty sure in this case Ankhseram will not come any more in the main plot of Fairytail.




Frankly bringing Ankhseram will only complicate the plot not help it.So he shouldn't come lest he becomes Kaguya 2.0.

It'll be Touka. I thought it would be Elefseria but doubt it now. Ignia is more of a challenge for Team Natsu. No bullshit I'm loving her character, she gives me Zeref vibes but different energy with an alter ego and not looking to die but to wipe magic out. Doesn't hurt to be wife material either. Next few chapters I expect her goal and motive to be revealed, it's speculation she's fought Zeref at Zonia from Irene's story, given her Natsu interest I wouldn't be surprised of a connection, everyone is connected to Zeref in some form. Someone like Briar could be an accomplice given she knows her, it's setting up to be her

She is way better than Zeref. She is living up to her hype and doing justice Zeref's whatever remaining hype as well. But I think she will forced to retreat in this arc and return later. If she is defeated, Ignia might be final villian unless Liberius has it own other elite members > Touka. Though Ignia doesn't final villian type as well Diabolos.
