They really called that for DF? Mashima's going be like wtf when he plays Laxus bcs that creates a big ass plot hole in the narrative (if you take the game as evidence) lol.

Laxus' VA really went to Mira real quick in the beginning. Wish we got to see how her moves looked like.

Beckoning Bolt looked awesome.

How long is the game?
How hard is the game?
Is there NG+ and are there any trophies that require a second (or third, fourth, etc.) playthrough?
Are there any trophies that require higher difficulty settings?
Does the higher difficulty setting actually do anything other than pull the integers away from the players’ favour? (New mechanics, smarter enemies, etc.) Or does it just make enemies have higher stats?
How faithful is it to the show? Are we basically getting the anime if it was a video game instead, or did they go off and do their own thing?
Are there character costumes? If so, are they nice or are they cartoonishly silly?
How is it getting around? Is there fast travel and if not, how much time would you say is wasted just walking around?
How responsive is the game overall? Does it feel like a game being released in 2020, or do the menus chug like a PSOne game?
I’m sure I have more questions I’m forgetting, but those are probably the important ones to me. :3 I know there’s some tough questions in there, but I spent a few hours with the new SAO game at a friend’s house (as well as working on DQXI on my own) and... there’s some yikes. I’m really hoping Fairy Tail isn’t that.

10. It follows the anime. Some parts are cut like jura vs laxus
11 yes costumes are in. No silly ones from what i have unlocked thus far
12 u can fast travel anywhere so minimal walking involved. Menus are very smooth and hardly any load times.

Link battles allow you to fight up to a horde of 70 enemies and you get slaughtered in two hits if you are not careful.

Plue heals a single person.

You are right about Laxus. Looked back in the gameplay with the VAs and it showed RL in DF but not in Base.

ah that. the other one is Roaring Thunder. So Laxus has only 7 movesets? Erza has 10 and Lucy has 11, but Kagura and Sherria has only 7. or maybe the higher the level, the more movesets?

Just HP.

Probably since they said some move are earned through story progression and ranking up. Plus they said you earn some moves by doing specific missions.

Tier list of the characters he played so far.

tier list for all characters tier 1 being broken and tier 5 being useless.

Tier 1: laxus, amazing stats and aoe attacks. Also a 35% chance to multi attack.
Mira: highest strength of them all, her attacks can hit upwards to 100 k damage to a group of enemies

Tier 2: natsu,gray, both have similar stats and great aoe damage. Slightly weaker then the tier 1 characters. Their awakenings put them in tier 1 but since u cant use awakening that often i put them on tier 2.
Erza has the highest defence out of everyone and lots of different elements in her attacks so many enemies are weak to her. Kagura same as erza except lower defence and slightly higher attack

Sting, best buffer in the game. Can buff all characters with defence + barrier. That combo makes u take like 90% reduced damaged. Also has holy ray attack which attacks enemies in a row while buffing ur entire party with strength and defence up.

Wendy, very good speed and best healer. Also a good buffer. Defence and strength up too all characters

Lucy: would be in tier 4 before the epilogue but gains star dress which makes her very usefull. Also good backup healer

Sherria: higher attack then wendy and good healer but no buffs sadly

Tier 3. Juvia. Not enough damage output and lowest speed in the game. She does has a heal which makes u regenarate hp each turn which can be pretty useful.

Gajeel: his shadow steel form is tier 2 but his damage without is not cutting it late game. His best attacks has good aoe but it makes enemies inflicted with fear and i hate it cuz it makes enemies guard and take forever to kill

Tier 4: Rogue: pretty low stats and doesnt have good aoe attacks. If he could use his shadow form awakening all the time he would be atleast tier 3

Tier 5: ichiya. His attacks takes forever and do minimal damage. Hes weak to every goddam element so yea. He just sucks lol. He does have good speed thou lol

only 6 moves of Mira so far. curious about the rest. Sitri and Seilah costs 80+ MP, badass. I hope they added Alegria

Laxus has a lot of AOE moves I like it cuz in this game there are 9 grids for foes lol. it can be annoying sometimes, too many fodders get in the way during quests. So Beckoning Bolt is game-only move. Happy they added a non-canon move. So many moves that have paralysis effect. I like it. Curious about the animation of Heavenward Halberd (one of my faves) and RL, especially the latter. I liked its red in the anime. Dark red, or crimson.

What outfit is he wearing in the screenshots? never seen that. maybe special costume for this game?

I hope they added Alegria or at least Halphas. The average moves is 7 or 8 (even Sherria has 8 moves lol) so it makes no sense for Mira to be one of the only ones with just 6 moves.

The outfit is most likely his alternative color.
