I was really hyped for GoI, I knew they would be weaker than Serena but I hoped they could give Jacob+Serena+August a mid diff fight.... I had hyberion close to Serena s power, so almost Spriggan level. What I can not understand is how Alvarez got all those young powerful people (Brandish, Dimaria, Ajeel...) who have huge mp and Ishgar has only losers exept for FT but they are not comparable, they are FT and even then the main were supposed to be less strong than Spriggans....

I thought about this before.
At the time i thought more mp means higher durability
But since springgan werent showing that

Maybe zeref had something to do with their high mp

Erza is above Laxus. She only needed one fucking beaten arm, burned or frozen plus some other injuries to destroy dragon form Irene's strongest magic and slash her dragon form like butter. That alone portrays a healthy Erza as stronger than anyone bar Acno and Zeref

She will probably get back to regular spriggan level after a few weeks because this series is such a failure when it comes to portraying any kind of power hierarchy.

Erza endurance and durabilty is a monster. Theres no way Laxus and Jellal defeating her. They got nothing to take her down.

What are you talking about? It's not just Laxus or Jellal, Erza can solo even Acno if her sword is enchanted.

Erza s strenght was clear from the start: she is "the Knight"it is not all about raw power, but about her will and she will keep fighting come whag may because a knight can not fail her duty. She is not an average mage and that is where her strenght comes from.

I don't hate and neither do I mind it if someone likes Erza since in the end its just an opinion of a manga character but if someone denies that her fights include BS or asspulls or bad writing then that's just asinine imo, no offense.

How much of that sword slash on Dragon Eileen was actually her own power and how much of it was Wendy's enchantments?
We've seen that without DS advantage a sword strike from enchanted Erza can be tanked by human Eileen's face without flinching, is DS advantage really so great that it lets Erza slice through dragon Eileen like butter, when normally she can barely slice a few millimeters deep into human Eileens face?
Did Erza powerup without us realizing it?
Is having broken bones a good thing??
Was Erza holding back against Azir???
Is a combination of Azir, Kyoka, Ikaruga & Azuma(a combination Erza couldnt handle) superior to dragon Eileen????

So yeah, i'd like to hear how people are ranking Erza these days. Especially compared to other FT top tiers like Gray, Natsu, Laxus & GIldarts. Can she beat Azir now in a rematch? And what do you guys make of Erza's most recent feats(how much did Wendy really contribute to that sword slash).

Erza is on Natsu and Gray's level, with the highest endurance out of all 3.

The dragon slaying magic is Wendy's power, and that's what allows Erza's sword to penetrate the dragon scales. Slayer advantage is significant, as without it, the attack likely would have dealt no damage. The force behind the slash might be Erza's own power, which should be around that of an average Spriggan's attacks.

The power up was Wendy enchanting Erza's sword. We know this.

Having broken bones is not a good thing.

Erza wasn't holding back against Ajeel, no. Irene is stronger than Ajeel, Kyouka, Ikaruga, and Azuma. If Erza had Wendy's help, she would have beaten Ajeel or the Historia's in their respective battles. Consequently, if Erza didn't have Wendy's dragon slaying enchantments, her sword slash against Irene would have been harmless. In any case, Irene wasn't defeated just because her dragon form was dispelled. At the end of the day, Erza was vulnerable and Irene had the sword. I consider it Irene's victory if we discount her stabbing herself.

But would Erza lose without that intervention? We saw what happened when Eileen had a blade poised to strike Erza, can we really say that Erza wouldve been defeated if Azir didnt get shot by Jupiter?

Sure if Ajeel hacked at her shoulder, but he was going for an execution imo (well that's what he said). It's not as if the axe would bounce off her... I mean she was stabbed by Berserker soldiers so I think Ajeel can at least replicate that (just at the throat area)

right, Erza ain't even win.. imo there is no difference in power she's shown. She's been the same since fighting Ajeel.

Oh I see your point now, sorry I misunderstood you. Well as long as he has her in that choke hold, I assume she can't move. Morning Star is still a bit of a Hail Mary too, since the sandstorm was thick. I can't really think of an armour that could change things for Erza in that spot tbh
