Makarov never needed any dragon Lacrima to support his weak body while Laxus did. Makarov only has a frail body due to his old age, he wasn't like that during his prime or even when he was young. So your point is mute on Makarov having frail body.

While literally dying. His body was literally suffering from organ failure. That happened, and he ragdolled a Spriggan so bad ya boi is still upset about it. Actually Mashima's statement about sidelining people was about Laxus not Gildarts, it's just incredibly applicable to Gildarts too. It came from an interview with Laxus' VA. Supposedly Mashima told him that he can't introduce Laxus into too many fights because he's too powerful.

He survived it thanks to his dragon Lacrima since he had special Lungs. He survived it thanks to his great endurance. He could get stronger because he had a strong body that could withstand bane particles. If he had the same frail body he had in his younger day, he would have dropped dead from the bane particles.

that is another crap. august and hell even aconologia are just haxy. they arent impressive durable like gildarts, laxus and mard.
And there is a reason why he wasn’t in every arc. Somebody brought it up months ago about how hiro has problems writing laxus because he’s so strong

the problem with laxus was he was supposed to be shown above the main character but still get very little panels. that is all. his moments must not outshine main character moments
