speaking of which, he already burned through space and time when he annihilated Fairy Heart and hit Zeref so hard he couldn't even properly regenerate

Combining magic of hundreds of millions of fodder + hundreds of decent mages would instantly vaporize Natsu. It works similar to spirit bomb, except much stronger, since the gap between fodder and Acno (or any character in FT) <<<<< gap between fodder and Goku

Acno was the only villain who didn't disappoint in terms of power level. Was his fight itself an extreme disappointment? Yea. But on power levels, he lived upto his hype and much more. He was strong enough to one shot every single character in Alverass arc, nobody could touch him. He only lost to the combined might of the entire continent, that's the best testament to his power.

Agreed that Acno lived up to his hype in power levels, but i wouldn't say he's the only one who did. August, as disappointing as his defeat was, lived up to his hype imo. He destroyed everyone he fought and only had a nosebleed after tanking Gildarts strongest attack without canceling it. Imo he could've soloed the guild by himself.

Agreed, If we're looking at from POV of hype and power levels, only August and Acnologia lived upto it in the arc. Maybe God Serena too (he stomped all his opponents and was portrayed to be Gildarts level if you believe that), but sadly got killed by Acno before he could prove his worth.

i dont know about aconologia and serena but august did not live up to his hype. only reason he had any win was because of his hax magic, not his powers. that is how he beat jellal gang. basically just like jacob transporting the entire guild.

Just want to say God Serena was never portrayed to be Gildarts level. Not once.

His only feat of stomping the GOI could be replicated by any Spriggan.

I used to think that his magic was some lame cheese shit too, but when I thought more about it, my mind changed. I'd say the magic he possess is unique to him, which is why he became the magic King. If you think about it, it makes sense. Being able to instantly master magic from just seeing it once is the only way to become the true magic King. No one else possess that magic, which makes me believe that he invented it himself (or he was born with it, being the son of the most talented mage before him).
Point of all this being, his magic really resonated with me, regarding his hype of "magic King". For me, he truly lived upto his hype - both in power and regarding his title. He just was written in a.....retarded way and himself became a retard

he didnt tank it, he suffered enough to think he needed a suicide spell to win. it did a number on him.
we dont know his spell would vaporize the country. it was only effecting magnolia, nothing more.
and gildarts thing. i dont know. i think that being the last arc laxus would have given gildarts a high diff fight then, but this gildarts will be using his magic.
in august case, gildarts was basically fighting without magic. and still hung out with august. i dont find that impressive.

are you sure. august beat them only because he was negating and copying their magic. this is similiar to dimeria time stoping and beating them or jacob transporting them. its like a dragon beating gildarts, jellal, GOI, midnight, racer, angel, ogra, kagura, just because their magic wasnt working on that dragon
