Honestly, Ajeel was scared of Laxus' spell, but, to be fair, it doesn't change the fact that, if Ajeel were not "paralyzed" by fear, he could have escaped the spell easily by merging himself with the sand.

Analyzing the characters solely by "a failure moment" to measure their powers is highly biased. If Ajeel were a good challenger for Erza, he would give Laxus a similar battle.
The problem is that Ajeel did very well against Erza, but lost to Elfman and Lisanna, and the only way that I can imagine the latter fight not being an "outlier" is by considering that the "Beast Sand" that Elfman used was immune to every sand spell.

-
I disagreed that the Spriggans aren't that great; all the relevant ones (Brandish, Dimaria, God Serena, Larcade, Irene, and Augus) are a match for Dark Dragon Slayer Knights. Irene and August are stronger than the Diablos' elite group.
Exactly, i am saying that while people can be scare, there is a difference between being surprised and horrified that they can’t move.

Nope, Alvarez scaling is different than 100YQ scaling, Erza wasn't so strong in Alvarez

His base needed Marin Hollow help to overpower Erza, even his performace before Strauss Siblings was not good without Sand World

If Brandish magic didn't worked on Enchanted Neinhart it won't work on the BDSK, same for Dimaria whose magic is bypassed by an END who was equal to Gray. Suzaku counters both August and Irene

Erza could survive blows from Irene while Laxus couldn’t damage physically Wall, I would say they are relative to each other at least. All Marin did was just prevent Erza from changing armor mid-point in the fight, hardly a real factor, and Erza needed more outside assistance. DDK could not even do a thing to a full power Dragon God, and with Brandish’s power she could. END is stated that his power is special in the Q&A.

Ezra and Ajeel were still able to fight for a little bit before Marin magic took affected.
Ajeel doesn’t seem like he’s losing either

(to me this fight is an example how the type of magic opponents use can have some affect on the difficulty)

Erza already was very strong in Alvarez Arc.

Erza was really surpassed and almost defeated by Ajeel when he used Sand's World after Marin was defetead and Erza could fight normally.

First, you needed to prove that the BDSK magic power is higher than regular Neinhart, since Wendy's magic power was enough to defeat Haku.

Being below Elfman and Lisanna victim means below Laxus

Fine, here in chapter 483 when Jellal come back with Kagura he just start charging Grand Chariot and Neinhart only tries to appeal to Jellal's guilty about Simon to stop him instead of trying to stop a mage charging a spell through raw power, when Jellal casted GC Neinhart was one shotted. He was unable to do anything power wise to tank the GC

God Serena who is comparable to Gildarts just like Kirin and Misaki, overwhelmed Jellal most of the fight, something that Neinhart never was able of doing

And he tanked the attack that one shotted Neinhart

Besides the comparison between the actual BDSK Kirin and Ajeel is similar, a one shot material for base Laxus and someone who overwhelmed RL Laxus. Wall who needed lightning immunity to not be one shotted, got one shotted by Red lightning while Kirin tanked it

since Wendy's magic power was enough to defeat Haku
The Irene merchant would NEVER have defeated Haku without Irene, it doesn't matter if it was Wendy power which Irene used, it was still Irene who used that. She was about to get subdued by Haku plushies till Irene saved her, enchanted the plushies, used the plushies against Haku, and then Wendy defeated an immobilized Haku.

Without Irene her best feat is against Raj

GO GS was weaker than his original self at best considering they merely called him a dead man or just a puppet and his MP was only “considerable”

And with a base GC, GO GS was being destroyed, his prosthetic flesh peeling off. While Neinhart was given the Bloodthirsty treatment of GC which the stars came from actual stars from light years away. And he managed to survive and get away.

Wall in base managed to withstand the physical power of Laxus who could one shot Natsu who had lightning resistance himself, meaning his power does not primarily come from his magic spells. And considering a base no-named flame punch spell could cause damage to Natsu when a named flame spell sent back to him at double strength did nothing would show they are not immune to physical strength.

Wendy’s power was considerably strong as it was her own power that defeated Haku who scales to the DDK, Haku just had the benefit of speed which lets him escape her attacks.

Ajeel wasn't portrayed casting Sand's World against Elfman and Lisanna, and that doesn't change that he almost defeated Erza.

"Fine", and then you didn't prove anything. Neinhart is a summoner, while God Serena attacks directly and fiercily his opponents. You only showed that Kagura created a opening for Neinhart's defeat.

Wendy's magic power canalized the spell to defeat Haku. But, if that isn't enough, Misaki was compared with Gildarts from one year ago, which is close to God Serena's level, ie, close to Spriggan's level. Thus, Brandish, Dimaria, God Serena, etc are not below BDSK's level. Period.

The fight was offscreen but Alvarez Erza is much weaker than Alvarez Laxus anyway.

Don't proves anything ? Neinhart couldn't do anything power wise to stop Jellal, he just summoned Simon to appeal to his guilty, this is a dirty tactic and is not valid for strength analysis, if he relied on a dirty tactic so he didn't had the power to stop it in a fair fight. And be real this summoner relies on circumstances, in case on how strong the dead are, and even then he can't summon anything stronger than a weakned Serena anyway, and even while enchanted by Irene, so kind of pointless if part of my point was show that Serena was much stronger than Neinhart.

Yes, she defeated a immbolized Haku. I already demonstrated that GS and BDSK are stronger than spriggans by a LOT.

GO GS was weaker than his original
Headcanon, at least historias were directly stated to be weaker and even then specifically spriggans.

That still makes this GS weaker by comparison, going to a Historia Spriggan, they are weaker than Neinhart since he had to use 1/3 of their power at least.

And GO GS was dying by a base GC while Neinhart was only defeated by a bloodthirsty GC.

Historia GS hold his own against Gildarts before being beaten, while Neinhart was one shot even while enchanted.

And this is just a matter of Mashima not wanting to draw humans being killed as it's gore. Laxus destroyed Wall's body in the end because he wasn't a human, he was a machias, if it was Neinhart the same attack wouldn't have destroyed his body because Mashima wouldn't have drawn this. If Jellal used GC in Wall he would have destroyed Wall's body, but not because he is less durable than Neinhart. Bloodman also only got his body destroyed because he was a demon. As long as Serena became a doll Mashima felt more free to draw more serious damage. Same happens in One Piece, when it's about the regen merchants from gorosei and holy the knights Oda feel more free to draw gore. Besisdes what killed the doll for good wasn't a star, it was Jellal copying Acno's move

Gildarts acknowledged that Historia GS would have been stronger in life. And enchanted Neinhart was only stronger with magic, not his physical attributes as he said his limits are still there.

I don’t think Arms being burned away, limbs being severed, eyes punctured and GS being vivisected the first time isn’t gore worthy. And that is a corpse still just some parts replaced with alchemy. Same with Silver who got a hole formed into him. He can pretty much be gory in his series.

It's not what Erza X Irene, the top cream of the Spriggan Twelve, shows. Erza, with almost all bones broken, destroyed Deus Senma, a feat that surpasses everything that Alvarez Laxus did.
But, unlike your distorted opinion, I know that Erza and Laxus would have a difficult battle if they fought.

You don't prove anything; you're just unfairly comparing two wizards that has a very different kind of power. First, Neinhart summoned plenty Historias to fight everyone in the port, so, unlike God Serena, Neinhart had already wasted magic power before facing Jellal. Thus, Neinhart tried to stop Jellal by using his guilt for Simon's death, but Kagura stopped it. Neinhart's Historias accomplished more feats than God Serena did against Jellal, once Erza was knocked out fighting them.

It's more like you wanted the BDSK to be stronger than Spriggan, rather than being able to demonstrate it. Honestly, Brandish showed the capacity to fight dragon Aldoron for a little time, which is better in terms of strength than anything that the BDSK group showed.

Your faith won't change the scaling. Ajeel the one shot material for Laxus was stronger than Erza, 100YQ even confirms that Laxus was much superior to her at that period. She couldn't use enchantments by herself at Alvarez, and start of 100YQ she struggled with Kyria, she recognized Kyria as physically strong despite being fodder to Laxus, and Kyria even got the upper hand against Base Erza by cutting her sword and forced her to use an enchantment. Erza needed to be necessarily stronger than what she was at Alvarez to overwhelm Kyria in physical combat.

While Kyria always was no physical match for Base Laxus. Base Erza beyond being unable of fodderizing Kyria like Laxus did, she was unable of beating her at all and relied on enchantments that she didn't had acess at Alvarez. In fact, 100YQ Base Erza is her Alvarez peak

The most charitable interpretation of Laxus/Ajeel/August interaction is that Laxus would've at least severely injured Ajeel. The ones who won't even grant that much are arguing in bad faith, it's pointless to waste your time with them.

August straight up thinks Ajeel would've been dead. If he at least wouldn't have been severely injured, August's reaction makes zero sense.

Laxus in Alverass was a different beast compared to Erza.
There is a reason Zeref expected only Jellal or Laxus to reach him, it's straight up acknowledgement from Mashima (through the enemy boss) that these two are the strongest fighters of Ishgar (bar Gildarts who joined randomly as a wild card).

Ezra and Ajeel were still able to fight for a little bit before Marin magic took affected.
Ajeel doesn’t seem like he’s losing either

(to me this fight is an example how the type of magic opponents use can have some affect on the difficulty)
Yeah, Ajeel would've won in a pure 1v1, without interference.
Neinhart also would've won in a pure 1v1, without interference.

Erza wasn't in same league as Laxus back in the days. The same way others in the main cast grow disproportionately, Erza also does. Which is why she closed the gap in 100YQ, to the point she can at least push Laxus to a high-extreme diff now.

That is honestly what is best expected at least given the strength of Wall performing against Laxus, with or without the Lightning resistance doesn’t (and charitably shouldn’t) make much of a difference given Natsu has the same lightning resistance as he does post Tenrou and Laxus physically one shot him, so his physical stats do match his MP. And the only reason it was an instant win at the end was the Red Lightning juicing him via injuries.

(For anyone in general)

Potentially, With or without the Lightning resistance is basically the same as would he instantly win with or without the red Lightning? With Wall or Erza. And Erza is stronger than people give credit for as Makarov goes give Erza credit she may be able to match Laxus since the beginning. And given her early performance against Irene initially holding her own, she should be able to match Laxus, at least he gives her an High-Extreme diff through and through.

In the end even Natsu was able to pull a win due to circumstances, so nothing stops Erza from winning with also favorable circumstances, but this does not mean that she was Laxus tier. In his opinion she wasn't

Mystogan didn't even tried to put her on same level of him and Laxus like the anime did, anime writers were pushing Erza agenda, he just said that she wasn't weak.

Even Gray only mentioned Gildarts AND Laxus as top tiers that wouldn't suffer from the 7 years of powercreep. Erza being Laxus rival only became real in 100YQ

Natsu won due to circumstances yes but he managed to land solid hits in when he was close to trying. She was hit by attacks when distracted and wasn’t done perma and even at point blank range and she was able to react instantly. And that was the point. Makarov acknowledged that Laxus’ strength is real, but with the players he has, Erza was the one that could poll it off, followed by Natsu who he explicitly said if he gave it his all then he might put up a fight. Makarov called Laxus a fool so Laxus opinion doesn’t matter! He even sent Evergreen of all people to take down Erza and look how that turns out? Why put her at the same level as Gildarts, none of them are, and that is the point of the comment to be reasonable and fair, Laxus is the one that is neither. Anime writers said that because they didn’t expect to continue for another season iirc so they had to fill in plot holes. The comment was to show that the times changed and makes Laxus weaker than Jura at the time, and even after training her barely won. So yeah, he was only generalizing, Erza already could trade blows briefly with someone far stronger than the opponent that Laxus could not harm physically. I take someone with more experience over someone who is still wet behind the ears. besides Erza was called a monster before because of her strength too, https://official.lowee.us/manga/Fairy-Tail/0181-004.png

Erza's peak of power in the Alvarez arc was: 1) shatter a meteor with his own strength alone; 2)cut a dragon's body after gaining DS power. Laxus has no feat in the Alvarez arc as high as those.

Laxus didn't have the Red Lighting Mode back to the Alvarez arc time either; he was only able to cast a spell with this type of magic. If he got stronger after one year, and Erza got stronger, and they had a close fight, they were already close a year ago, once Erza was also put at the "Spriggan level" back then.
Kiria didn't get the upper hand against Erza, since Erza was destroying her with Flame Empress Armor, and you can't pretend that Kiria wasn't scared of Erza and Laxus seeing their fight. Kiria called them "monsters", so the only thing that you can accomplish with your argument is that Erza fighting casually is less fierce and that she puts more effort into her battles when facing someone who is really a challenge to her.

I said about Ajeel before: the fact that he got scared by Laxu's spell and would get seriously hurt or even die if he were hit doesn't change what he can do in battle when he is focused. This is Fairy Tail: a strong enemy can be defeated just because he was open to an attack.

Now you are just coping hard to keep wanking the fodder spriggans. Historias accomplished more feats than Serena :gigglebunny :yodawg Show me a stronger historia than weakned Serena. Historia Serena even embarrasses Neinhart himself as he hold his own against FT's Ace while even enchanted Neinhart got one shotted.

You are still coping, i showed what Kirin did in comparison to fodders like Ajeel and Wall. Brandish can't leech the feats of the people she gigantified, otherwise she would just gigantify herself instead of them, and she can't even affect Enchanted Fodderhart
I said that Historia accomplished more feats than God Serena if we compared just what happened in "Neinhart X Hargeon Port" X "God Serena X Jellal", and Historia really did.
If Neinhart can create just one Historia of another God Serena 100% to fight God Serena, he is equal to God Serena, and the fact that the summoner himself doesn't have endurance doesn't change that.

Kiria really didn't do anything impressive in comparison to Ajeel and Wall. Kiria's advantage against strong wizards (Erza and Laxus) only happened because of the nature of her hax (charming magic). Ajeel and Wall did put those strong wizards in check offensively and took more attacks from them while fighting back than Kiria did. You showed that Laxus treated Kiria like fodder.

The thing is: agreeing or not if Erza was already at the same level as Laxus one year ago, doesn't change how the Spriggan Twelve is a match for the BDSK.

Laxus wasn't Gildarts level but was the closest to it, if Erza also she would have been mentioned. The godzilla vs godzilla stuff seemed more of a gag comment than a praise comment, even because it wasn't specific like the comparison Erza vs Misaki to Laxus vs Gildarts.

I take someone with more experience over someone who is still wet behind the ears.
But you don't take August opinion on Ajeel :yodawg

Erza's peak of power in the Alvarez arc was: 1) shatter a meteor with his own strength alone; 2)cut a dragon's body after gaining DS power. Laxus has no feat in the Alvarez arc as high as those
1) Fodderizing country level mages is better 2)Laxus as a proper dragon slayer would simply do better, would bet against Irene in a fight with any powerhouse dragon slayer. The DS enchant was not Erza's own power at Alvarez and nothing indicates that it was stronger than her Belserion Sword.

What are you talking ? He used it to one shot Wall:yodawg I'm not even saying he got stronger, i think only Erza really got and thought he grew stronger just because she didn't knew about Red Lightning. Man, you just can't prove that they were close a year ago, beyond red lightning his base was already too strong for her and even spriggans like Ajeel were able of overpowering her.

Even the start of their fight don't denies the gap they had before, Laxus was far superior to Erza to the point of destroying her lightning armor and made her appeal to her enchantments. If they were close the lighnting armor wouldn't have been worthless, just look at the difference of elemental armors performance with Enny

Base Erza was relative to Enny and so her water armor gave her advantage against a fire dragon Enny, elemental armors aren't worthless if the mages are close in power. Without the enchantments she couldn't compete with Laxus and she hadn't those enchantments at Alvarez. If Kyria cut Erza's sword then she got the upper hand and you are acting like if Erza wasn't already using enchantments in both situations, Enchantmentless Erza never scared Kyria.

I said about Ajeel before: the fact that he got scared by Laxu's spell and would get seriously hurt or even die if he were hit doesn't change what he can do in battle when he is focused. This is Fairy Tail: a strong enemy can be defeated just because he was open to an attack.
But he wasn't caught off guard to say he was open to an attack, he saw Laxus ship way before it got close

And he was literally preparing to attack the ship, look at the sand attack he is making while he looks to the ship

The Fairy Tail team was trying to scape through the ship and Ajeel didn't wanted to let them go and was going to attack the ship WHERE LAXUS WAS, he wasn't open, he was literally preparing an attack, it's just that Laxus counterattack was far greater.

The historias stalled a bunch of fodders and tired Erza, that's so impressive :umad
I don't even give credit to Duke, but Neinhart didn't even created a 100% spriggan. And when the summons are circumstantial the summoner shouldn't be so glass cannon, Youko is strong by herself and has solid summons, is she stronger than Serena because of that ? This spriggan wank of equalizing them to BDSK would put her above the BDSK because she is solidly better than Neinhart

Kyria already wasn't a pure one shot for Laxus like Ajeel was, got a upper hand against Erza like Ajeel, Wall also is a one shot material that needed lightning immunity and tumor advantage to not be one shotted. Many spriggans are hax users buddy, and nothing would stop Kyria from using her hypnosis hax on them, but even in a pure physicals she can already match them

The thing is: agreeing or not if Erza was already at the same level as Laxus one year ago, doesn't change how the Spriggan Twelve is a match for the BDSK.
I already showed how Ajeel and Wall are no match for Kirin and now just by comparing Youko to Neinhart i would be able to say she is stronger than Neinhart and Misaki is stronger than her
