That hand clapping technique that sends everyone into another dimension is borderline hax if not already. But if he wasn't bluffing that he could kill them in that dimension without needing to go there and kick some ass, then it is hax magic. When one is weaker than someone or weaker than many combined, yet he can defeat them, that is hax magic. Looking back at Kyoka, she wasn't exactly beating Erza. It was a close fight, which I had Erza winning. Point of that is Kyoka whether stronger or weaker than Erza she took all her senses away and increased her pain receptors, her nerves. That is a bs ability, thankfully countered back with a bs ability also they called six sense. What are the chances of anyone else winning if all five senses are taken away and in extreme agony? Very little. Marin and Jacob being able to send others into a different dimension is a bullshit ability. Minerva used it like a prison to hold Milana and Sting's exceed. But didn't use it as a means of victory. She used it to move around to the blind spot of opponents, to get out of harms way, or to switch places.
None of these hacks determine their strength, but when accounted for, can be very effective, sometimes too effective. Makarov told Mest to go and erase fairy heart from all ft members memories. If Mest used that to fight, teleporting and changing the memories of his opponents to get easy wins, that would be a hax also. Erasing the memory of any magic or how they learned magic. Mest and Minerva have not used their magic in hax ways, but could potentially use it if the want. I'm glad Mashima chose not to. So yeah Jacob has hax magic. Dimaria without being possessed by chronos, would be no more than a knight, a swordsman. She was getting help by an outside source. If Igneel being inside Natsu meant that he feeds Natsu with magic power all the time then that wouldn't be hax, but still unfair. Dimaria was rubbish. Finger pointing and one laser is all she used for offense when she got serious. That's the impression she left with me. Different from Lucy who summons cs using her own magic power and isn't possessed by them. All Dimaria did was get arrogant and losing it when they were moving in that time space, and chronos got mad too for being challenged and attacked. It's was easy for Chelia to not miss her target when the target is just standing there only pointing fingers. Not to say Prime Chelia is weak. Just that Dimaria was more of a statue than anything else. Third origin is simply Chelia's full power at her prime age. So if you want to credit Dimaria for being super strong, and that Chelia is also, consider that Chelia is a slayer with magic made to destroy gods which gives her some advantage. How strong do you think Chelia is at her max potential? Stronger than Laxus or Natsu? Stronger than Makarov or Serena? Possibly. This young generation regardless of guild are very talented. Third origin does not give more power than what they could potentially achieve on their own.
If you want to call the hand-clapping technique hax, then that's fine with me but usually hax magic can be countered. If you ask me, Kyōka's magic is not that hax. I mean you really can't kill someone strong by taking away their senses and increasing pain receptors. Besides, I found it quite contradicting, the fact that Kyōka took away Erza's senses, yet she can still feel pain. If anything, she countered herself.
Going back to Jacob, even Happy was able to stop him from completing his hand-clapping attack. So by blowing off Jacob's hands, he shouldn't be able to "transport" anyone. Again, another weakness or counter. Mages like Erza, Natsu, and more can still attack if one of their body parts are gone. This is what differentiates from an average wizard to a strong wizard.
There is really only one Spriggan with a potentially hax magic which is Brandish. She can pinpoint an object inside an object and decrease its size without affecting anything else. Even the way she does it is unknown. I'm sure there is a counter to her magic but it is probably really hard to do so even if you know her magic or tricks. That could be the reason why Hiro Mashima hasn't put her into real action yet. Anyways, that can be discussed another time.
Mest's abilities never struck me as hax magic. Teleporting and changing memories to me does not seem worthy of defeating any opponent especially high-tier mages. Assuming Mest changes the memories of his enemies so that they can't remember how to use their magic attacks, a strong adversary would be able to beat Mest through CQC. Every person has a weakness...
I still disagree about Dimaria and I'm probably the only advocate for her immense powers. From how it was described, it seems Dimaria stops time by "clicking" her teeth. Like I said, every magic has a counter. By breaking Dimaria's teeth, I would assume that
could render her magic useless. As for her
Takeover: God Soul, I don't see it as getting help from an outside source at all. In fact, there are plenty of other characters who I can argue and say they have gotten help from someone else. All of Dimaria's powers were legitimate in my eyes and the fight would have ended well had Ultear never appeared and given Chelia, Third Origin. But talking about Dimaria's stats, she is very powerful. Her attack power is somewhat inconclusive as she was against weak opponents. That beam may have been able to pierce through stronger characters, it was never proven. The fact that we saw her put out such high levels of energy during her transformation and fight with Kagura tells us something. Not to mention, standing still meant that she was confident and strong enough to keep her ground. With Dimaria seemingly having high defense, average attack, average speed, average intelligence, and high magical energy, I can't see her as a low-tier Spriggan besides the nonsense of Third Origin involved. I was never a fan of that battle. Wendy and Chelia should have lost badly.
Relating to the topic above, I'm not saying I don't want Ultear to come back. I really do hope she returns again, but not with some made-up powers like Third Origin, which is in fact, a hax magic. That is why Hiro Mashima had to put such a restriction on it like losing your magic for all eternity afterwards. I can go more into Third Origin but I'll try to keep this as short as possible. Back in GMG, Ultear never mentioned about TO. Instead, she gave Team Natsu, Second Origin. From then on, the Eclipse Arc took place and she became irrelevant to the series. Without any training, how did she acquire the power to give someone TO unless she already had such powers. But don't you think she would have at least talked about it when she gave Team Natsu SO? Second Origin was legit because it was explained that every wizard had a hidden "second container" that can be accessed. Similar to the psychology of the brain. There is research indicating that parts of the brain are not active and can be unlocked by a certain stimulus. On the other hand, what is Third Origin? A hidden "third container"? See where I'm going? So if SO can help a mage catch up 7 years, just imagine TO. Future Rogue destroys GMG Natsu and you can already see the difference in powers.
Anyways, if Igneel being inside Natsu did indeed feed him power, that would be hax to the very max. But because that is not the case, then I am okay with it. Lucy doesn't have an
Takeover so she shouldn't be able to do what Dimaria did. If Lucy did, then gaining power from her Celestial Spirits would be fine. Her
Star Dress pretty much has similar effects to
Takeover anyways except her Celestial Spirits cannot match the God, Chronos. Again, Chelia at her prime is OP. Nobody may agree with me but I see it from a different perspective and she can be a real problem or threat with such power. The question here is how much power can Chelia achieve on her own? Considering that there are mages who don't even reach their prime at such an old age, Chelia's power can grow immensely.
Dragon Force don't mean over power atack and boost. I think King mode its stronger than DF. Dimara easy can beat wendy with her good soul.
I'm sorry, I don't understand what you mean. If you're referring to my comment that Natsu is behind Wendy if he hasn't achieved Dragon Force at will, what I meant was not necessarily in power. The fact that he doesn't have the capability to perform such a feat that Wendy can easily achieve makes him less of a mage, especially since it has to do with training. Meaning he didn't train hard enough or learn what he was supposed to learn by now. However, he clearly trained a lot already which is why I can't imagine him being unable to go DF.
