Gildarts didn't use crash with the first blows. One crash infused punch sent him flying and divided the clouds. What's so hard to understand?

That was a mountain, in the gif Gildarts destroyed the mountain and the surrounding area. And that was a casual punch. Natsu can use demo fist on Gildarts but crash was enough to level a mountain, so demo fist isn't touching Gildarts.

I've asked you this question before, but you dodged it completely. I'm gonna ask you one more time. Define "casual". Gildart's teeth were bared, and veins were poping out of his forehead and arms.

Thats just how powerful each regular punch is, this is anime, it isnt hard to believe.

I'm one of the people who supports this actually, partly because seeing Natsu fight any other Spriggan 12 members would piss me off so much, and also because I think that would be a good way of having Gildarts die, aside from Makarov he's the last dad in the series so I think Mashima will kill him off..
Which reminds me, Cana is with the rest of the guild in front of the Black Carpet right? Gildarts vs Invel wouldn't actually be too bad, that is if Invel is indeed with the army that was approaching from the west...

You can see the rocks breaking as Gildarts jumped towards Bluenote. Was that not Gildart's magic? Gildarts may not have used a named spell like Empyrean, but that doesn't mean he wasn't using any magic at all.

So let me get this straight. Gildarts, the guy who walks accidentally breaking stuff with his magic because he doesn't bother to keep it in check, is willing to break a random rock with his magic - but when it comes to actually exhanging blows with a real opponent, he chooses to purposely hold back his magic?

We have the manga, which is more official. The anime studios can take artistic liberties with the way they make the anime. Unless you hear a statement from Hiro that says "Gildarts is only using magic when you see white light in the anime", then it's not really relevant. And when they swtiched animation studios, they switched from white to purple.

Mashima has to approve that version of Gildarts vs Bluenote to be conclude if it's official or not. Obviously his approval for this battle from anime doesn't exist thus making the manga version of the fight canon.

It is an adaptation so anything that isn't changed from the manga or isn't anime only(KoSS arc is an exception) is canon.
