For me the power levels would be:

1. Acnologia
2. Igneel
3. August/Dragon Eileen
4. Laxus/Jellal/Gildarts
5. Natsu/Gray/Erza/Larcade/God Serena/Dimaria
6. Standard Spriggans/Mirajane/WSD Sting

Dunno about END or Zeref, we'll see how they do later. Though right now i have both on tier number 5 based on their showings.

Yea...I'm not budging my opinion of Jellal in the slightest. IMO there's an inconsistency between blocking Neinhart's attack and blocking Acnologia's attack, which means one of those feats is going to be have to be thrown out. And I'm not particularly willing to accept that Jellal is fast enough to defend from Acnologia's attacks, the same Acnologia who blitzed August.

You guys do realize those posts were ranking the characters speed, right? The posts were from another thread and were moved here.

Even then August should have better base and reaction speed than on top of the fact he has meteor......

August is still faster than Jellal.

I agree as I have August above Jellal in my speed rankings. I'm just saying that those posts ranking characters aren't based on power but speed.

4. August, he should know a lot of magic so I am not sure how you could take him down unless you have tremendous physical power
5. Zeref
6. Irene
7. DiMaria, since I have no idea how you can stop her magic unless you know time magic yourself or you are immune to it

I'm not sure where to put Jellal at the moment
Whether he's top tier or not. I find him to be in the middle ground

So far he has the offense, defense (barrier spell), something that I didn't really like, but hey feats are feats and speed to be Laxus level
but his other stats like endurance, stamina, and most importantly durability are pretty weak. His physical stats aren't too impressive either, and his intelligence took a hit this arc. His feats when it comes to overall stats still aren't too impressive, but he has the offense to atleast move Acnologia around even if the latter was just fooling around.

While it's not insulting anymore that Jellal got curbstomed casually by August on the nature of his magic, I still expect a top tier to atleast give August a scratch or a wound.

For now, I peg him above Mirajane, and around high Erza level. Erza has the feats to take on Irene's attacks, and pulverize an attack with one broken that was stated to be superior to Sema, so let's take that into account.

With that said, I have no problem if some others believe he is Laxus level/top tier, I just don't buy it at all on my end, seeing how his feats stack up against actual top tiers: Laxus, Gildartz, etc.

Nice list mang but I could definitely argue about dimaria (kinda low, should be above gray and jellal), jellal is too high when he hasn't even done anything considerable this arc ( one shotted a spriggan who was by natsu ''s casual punches, nothing special about that) and also gray could be a little bit lower too.
Placement of Jellal isn't too farfetched now, with his feats in this chapter, and Gray is fine too since at his injured state was able to use a lost spell tech that made Zeref shit his pants and prevented him from moving. The big question mark is why is Natsu ahead of August?

Do people realize Laxus fought and beat an average spriggan(albeit with handicaps) and Gildarts wasn't a match for August at all..Simply was lucky to have a prosthetic arm and a holder mage with him.
All negative aspects of Jellal's feats this arc are exaggerated. He doesn't have low durability because of the Neinhart fight,he drowned and was saving someone. He had no visible damage and the whole anchor crushing his body really do show that but "He got one-shot by Neinhart lel" arguments are still around
We didnt actually see him fight against August but it sounded like August just took his every spell and nullified or returned it back to him. He lost to haxx that Gildarts was 'lucky' enough to bypass. Laxus hasn't done anything noteworthy anyway,so I'm not gonna even discuss him. Wall is one of the least impressive Spriggans and hyped to be taking out Ajeel means pretty much nothing when frickin Lisanna and Elfman had him beat.

Jellal>Laxus/Gildarts until they show something impressive.
Outspeeding and pushing Acno back>anything both have done

Yeah, I've never quite understood why people hold on to this argument even after all this time. Physical damage is a thing in this series, the best example of that would be Kagura being taken out by a sword stab in the Grand Magic Games when earlier on she had tanked Yagdo Rigora.
Or Brandish being taken out by a knife after withstanding Aqua Metria earlier.
That attack by Neinhart would take out anyone who didn't block it. Jellal was concerned with protecting Kagura, so he took the attack head on.
Laxus hasn't done anything noteworthy anyway,so I'm not gonna even discuss him. Wall is one of the least impressive Spriggans and hyped to be taking out Ajeel means pretty much nothing when frickin Lisanna and Elfman had him beat.
Not to mention the fact that Wahl is a low tier Spriggan, at best mid tier. Laxus fighting him diseased then narrowly pulling out a vicotory simply means Laxus is at best in the mid tier Spriggan range. Imo he doesn't even break the Top 3 for me.
Ajeel is among the bottom 3 S12, why is Laxus almost taking him out still a thing? :yodawg
And Gildarts best feat this arc is taking out Historia Serena. That's basically it.

Nah, while Jellal's performance against Acno was impressive to look at, the dude is still virtually featless. His durability is completely untested, and the only person his offense has actually damaged is Neinhart. You could argue that he showed good speed i suppose, but the fact that Acno wasnt even trying and barely seemed to care doesnt lend much credit to that.

So yeah, i'm giving Jellal the benefit of the doubt by calling him Laxus/Gildarts tier, mainly cause i thought he looked powerful in his fight. The feats themselves arent all that amazing. Thinking about it, pushing back Acnologia like Jellal did is an Erza tier feat since Eileen was trying far harder to beat Erza during their 1v1, than she was when she pushed back Acnologia herself.
Jellal, Laxus and Gildarts are on the same tier, but for me Jellal is still the weakest of them.

Jellal took a lot of shits in this arc, I remember how people claimed that all of his spells took a long time to charge up, and he looked tired when he perfomed GC, now he perfomed 3 HB spells after august's fight yet he didn't look really exhausted.

Lol what have jellal done this arc? Oneshot the weakest sprriggan? With one of his best moves? Base natsu two shot him(enchanted in fact) the same punch that ajeel tanked the same ajeel that gave erza a run for her money. So for laxus to casually almost oneshot a spriggan at his caliber is far more impressive than what jellal has done so far in this arc. Wall>Neinhart that a fact. lol Jellal had the OS members on a side gildartz had Cana and till manage to tanked his august attacks for better than jellal. To be fair I'll say we don't know how long that battle lasted but to say jellal>gildartz without any evidence? Come on now if anything I'll say jellal is on laxus level due to hype and maybe somewhat portrayal but his feats isn't on par (well for right now)

and yet, we see things like these

august "who has MP on an entirely different dimension compared to natsu" gets stabbed by a physical sword, same case with Jellal getting hit by an anchor or erza getting wrecked by a free falling brick

how is that not trying when we can clearly see ACNO FUCKING LOGIA TRYING TO DODGE HIS ATTACKS THEN NEXT PANEL WE SEE HIM GETTING SURPRISED TO SEE JELLAL IN FRONT OF HIM ALREADY(hence the "!") THEN GET BLASTED AWAY, again HE'S TRYING TO DODGE BUT FAILED TO DODGE BECAUSE JELLALS ALREADY IN FRONT OF HIM WITHOUT HIM NOTICING IT

Zeref w/ FH
ACNO(or E.N.D. if he fights him on his own)
.
.
Zeref /E.N.D(i think E.N.D. will have help fighting Acno)
August/Irene Dragon
Jellal(he fared better in fighting Acno than irene)
Irene human
Gildarts/Serena
Natsu/Laxus
DF Gajeel/Erza(he did catch E.N.D. transformed attack with her bare fist)
Gray(the part where Juvia was able to negate his DeS attack kinda demerits him in my view)
Base Gajeel(maybe up a tier around Gray?)

Lacarde(hard to put him anywhere because he's just haxxed nothing more)

What's more impressive - Ichiya/Christina v Acno or Jellal v Acno? Serious question since it gives perspective to what was achieved against Acnologia when you consider plot.

You could also argue the Hargeon GC was stronger as he parted the sky (which didn't happen here). We probably won't get to see that starry sky again (I like those panels).

Christina was not a magic spell, and it still didn't do jack on acno.

Jellal's attack were magic based and we know that Acno is a Dragon of magic, so its like hitting fire magic on Natsu, so it logically has no effect no matter how strong that attack is.

so its not comparable

You're right, i'll rephrase. "Acno was barely trying at all". Similar to how i barely have to try when i walk down to my mailbox and get the paper.
Sure Acnologia was surprised to see him there, surprised in that "bored, dont give a crap" kind of way. Just look at the dudes expression, couldnt care less.
Or are trying to tell me Acnologia was actually putting real effort into killing Jellal?

Acno wasnt trying against Makarov, he wasnt trying against FT, he wasnt trying against Eileen and he wasnt trying against Jellal. All Acno's contenders have done nothing at all to him(bar Igneel), Jellal isnt an exception, he didnt do any better than Eileen or Makarov.

They're the same, neither damaged Acno at all, just caught him off guard. But if i had to choose then Ichiya was superior. Dragon Acno is bigger and heavier so knocking him down is more impressive than knocking down the human version.
