1) Jellal took all of Natsu's spell with zero damage? Ya kidding me there?
He was knocked out temporarily at one point

2) Jellal's durability will be better if he actually shows it. Period.
Not be oneshotted by a casual beam from Neinhart

Difference between Erza/Natsu and Jellal is that they actually showed sufficient durability feats to gauge from, unlike Jellal.

3)How was Jellal off-guard, when he expected Neinhart to attack? Why do you think he jumped to protect Kagura? To protect her. So he know full he was going to be attacked, which is why he used his back as a guard.

4) Defense wise: Jellal's barrier against Acnologia>>>>Mirror Water.

5) I agree with speed wise, that Jellal is amongst the top 5. No debate there.

6) That's not endurance level feat, especially when he had time to recuperate between his fodderization from August to landing toward Erza's location.

What you showed is that Pre-TS Jellal has better endurance and durability than Current Jellal does. That's kinda pathetic tbh.

It's funny how you dismiss power levels just because it's not consistent to portrayal.
Might as well say Charla is the strongest character and can beat anybody because of the inconsistent power levels by your logic.

Also I noticed how some members function in this forum exists mainly to just come here to mostly defend Jellal.

i was talking about this

you are right.

we don't know how much time has passed, but since lot of characters got tired after 1 fight, that's an endurance feat to me, since he was in a bad shape after august's fight.

tbh, if you took happy as an exemple, i might say yes, he tanked jackal's self-explosion + amaterasu 28 in tartaros arc without too much damage.

1. ToH Jellal did but that is meaningless. A lot of things changed since then. Feats from past mean absolutely nothing in Alvarez arc.
2. This is true. Jellal has no durability feats. But he could stand in August's grand spiral pain. He already shown something better than that iffy Neinhart nuke.
3. Turning your back to an attack is far from being on guard.
4. It is true that barrier against Acnologia has better feats, but mirror water isn't casual, I would rate it better.
5. I agree too. August went with Jellal's magic out of all the speed magic he could've used. I can say it should be top tier even though we haven't seen it again
6. As contrary to popular belief among the forums, there is no sign of Jellal being rekt one shot. He took as many attacks from August as Gildarts did, who really didn't took that many, to say the least. He already had injuries before the fight went on panel, hinted that they were going at it for a while. But I agree, he had time before he met Acnologia again, he recovered a lot if not to his full

1) Exactly
2)That can be considered some feats of enduring pain, I guess. Although it's pretty minimal.
3)He's still expecting the attack to hit him, hence he's not caught off-guard.
4)Casual or not, the barrier displayed better feats against a much superior opponent.
5)Jelly's magic is very versatile, and dynamic, so I'm not really surprised August opted with that.
6)He wasn't one-shotted, he was simply rekt, and couldn't stand up his feet. Overall Gildartz still fared better with August than Jellal did.

6. Yes he was rekt, but I am willing to give it the benefit of doubt if Jellal shows feats like that barrier in future chapters, which I doubt he will because we are near the end. Jellal really had no chance against someone who can nullify magic in the first place. We also don't know how Jellal actually fared, we only know the end result of the fight, nothing more. Can you confidently say that if Gildarts was off paneled(without seeing how he fared), he wouldn't be put in the same position Jellal did, except with a hole in his chest?

Even enraged Gildarts was getting thrown around and striked with his staff by August, like Cobra and Racer. His nukes didn't fully go through either since he had to dodge Cana's cards.
August also wasn't under as much PIS against CS as he was against Gildarts. He utilized all of CS's magic including mind reading, which is pretty hax in its own right.

The only thing Gildarts has for himself in August fight is the initial exchange, which was rendered meaningless by his latter enraged feats amounting to nothing anyway.

Natsu above August lol? The dude's barely above Jacob. He's Gray/Erza tier.
Dimaria should be well above Invel too.

Who said zeref feats are top tier??
Keeping up with Igneel Powered Natsu.

Injuring him in that state.

Managing to keep up in speed with a mage who was powered by Fire Dragon King Igneel.

Yajeel mentioning only Zeref has the "power" to keep the Spriggans in check.

Surviving a direct hit from Igneel powered FDKM Natsu with heavy injuries only,an attack which was capable of killing him as it was a power of dead.

Only August may have feats in comparison to this apart from Acnologia.

That's Natsu with Igneel power
Instant Freeze is faster than Age Seal

Why they are a bit high ?
That's Natsu with Igneel power.

Ah, fair enough.
Instant Freeze is faster than Age Seal
Insta-freeze is slow as hell, shouldnt even be called insta-freeze. Even as a surprise attack, Natsu, Lucy and Juvia still took a while to freeze, first they got cold, then Natsu started pulling out some fire, then finally they froze. A better name for it would be "gradual-freeze". Besides, any decently powerful wizard should be able to break out of it and we've yet to see it work on anyone outside of a surprise attack.

That's a good point, and it does take at least a Natsu-tier (so far shown) to get out of it which did took time. And it was only a surprise attack when Natsu was gonna fire dragon roar those fodders. But besides that, yeah Age Seal takes no time compared to Invel's gradual freeze

Oh, it is? That's fair then. Serena shouldn't be above Laxus and Jellal while Rahkeid should be above Gildarts imo.

His feat of surviving a direct hit from Igneel powered Natsu in FDKM state which made a whole landscape fall.

As i stated earlier immortality is useless here as it was a power of the dead it would have killed Zeref and it nullifies immortality. He survived that attack with pure durability alone.Infact in the official translation it was mentioned the second hit by Natsu would have killed him had not Happy stopped him.

So it's clear his immortality didn't save him from the first attack.

And his high offense feat is injuring Natsu in that state and fighting him on equal grounds with in physical fight.

"Power of the dead" being able to kill him doesnt mean he doesnt still benefit from the colossal advantage immortality grants him. Besides, that "power of the dead" thing just seemed like Zeref being poetic. Natsu didnt know anything about it, yet was still confident he'd kill Zeref just because of the strength Igneel's power gave him. It's likely that the strength is the true factor, like with END, IgNatsu is just so far above Zeref that even with an immortal body he'd still die. We saw clearly that once he got some breathing room after Natsu left, Zeref was easily able to regen all injuries inflicted by "dead power". Without his immortality Zeref would've probably been killed by Natsu's first attack.

His offense is pretty mediocre too, at least so far. Jacob did far better against base Natsu than Zeref is doing right now, physically Jacob is leaps and bounds ahead of him. Currently its looking like immortality is the only thing that makes Zeref powerful, you'd think a guy who has an entire book of magic named after him would use a few spells.
