Hmm, I am interested in how you put Neinhart above other 8 Spriggans. Or is this Enchanted!Neinhart?

It's enchanted. He was immune to Brandish's magic, so I would assume he is above the average Spriggan. He also got a fair bit of hype in the beginning of the arc. It's just unfortunate that he had to fight Natsu and Jellal, who are like the top tiers from Ishgar.

Damn it took a while but people are coming around like they didnt see this coming. Main character in shounen always get massively outrageous power scales. It is never changing. If you thought Fairy Tail would be different (DJ Kahled) *Ya just played ya'self

Natsu for the win
except that not every1 MC is the strongest in their verse and if she/he is it will make sense most of the time. as for FT natsu power level clearly doesnt make sense this guy in base form he going toe to toe with FH zeref that same guy that natsu used DF and almost vaporized him. now can manage to put hits on him in fact make him spit blood a feat that the strongest mode of natsu BDKM NATSU couldnt form. but all it takes is for base natsu to do that?? u wonder why people at natsu? the kid isnt an inspiring likable character (not saying every1 hates him but u get my point) i have never seen a manga that the power levels are so screwed as much as FT. all it takes is him base/normal form to put damage/soloing the supposedly and arguably the "strongest'' antagonist in the verse. which is why i think zeref has and always will be false hype

DBS has them more tbh, like Goku impaling merged Zamasu with one kamehameha wave in the latest chapter despite the fact that he is barely above Goku Black individually but that is off topic.

I mean, if Hiro outright stated that this will be the final arc AT THE BEGINNING of the arc then I would probably go with Natsu' power.

he hyped the Spriggan only for them to get owned and Natsu one shotting them.

heck, from needing his strongest mode and his strongest attack to took down the weakest Spriggan to one shotting them in base to fighting on par with God Zeref.

true though his body should be way more durable to pierce but yeah off topic. at least Goku got owned.

according to some people, it was bound for Natsu to surpass Zeref.

yeah, base Zeref but certainly not God Zeref. that's another level of BS.

Natsu only has 2 modes FDKM and Dragon Force. FDKM is his defaul mode. Manga always points when he enters DF. Maybe he still has lightnig that would be 3rd mode. So you could say that base=FDKM. He just uses different amount of power when it is required. The attacks themself have the naming. Notice that he doent have any attack that starts with Dragon Force.
huh?? that doesnt make sense if that the case he wouldnt using fkdm to oneshot jacob and use it again to trash zeref. its clear as day that he can use FDK spell in base form. base mode means normal mode. DF uses a FDK spell its the same with when he use crimson flame blade vs laxus/gildartz and use it vs in LFD mode vs tempesta. the mode itself increases the power

I definitely feel like some people set themselves up for disappointment. Coming into this arc, I held the opinion that Natsu was going to be defeating most of the Spriggan 12 with one or two FDK spells, and that he would be strong enough to give Zeref a decent fight. This really isn't all that surprising considering what he did to Bluenote, who would be considered a top tier before the timeskip, and a god of war. It turned out that the manga wasn't really that far off from this prediction. For some odd reason, some people held the opinion that Natsu was a fodder, and would constantly say he gets stomped by any of the Spriggan 12. I suspect this was because they wanted their favourite character to outshine Natsu. The whole reason for the 1 year timeskip was so that Natsu could get stronger, and the Alvarez Arc is basically Natsu's arc. It's really no surprise that Natsu isn't getting stomped in the arc he's supposed to shine in.

As it stands, Natsu isn't the strongest in the series. Acnologia and Zeref are above him. August, and Irene are probably stronger than him, though Natsu can probably hang in there as well as Gildarts did. That's really where I have Natsu. He's on the same level as Jellal or Gildarts, in that he can hang with a top tier without getting destroyed. Zeref is still stronger than Natsu right now. Look at the wounds Zeref is inflicting on Natsu versus what Natsu did to Zeref. Zeref is giving Natsu cuts whilst Natsu is making minor scratches on his face. Also keep in mind that while Fairy Heart might have unlimited magical power, Zeref's attacks themselves don't all have infinite power behind them. As far as I am concerned, Zeref's hand swipes are still weaker than some of August or Irene's nukes and dragon Irene's claw swipes. Zeref's body isn't immune to damage either. DF Natsu was able to erase his body, but Zeref reversed time and restored his body. Zeref hasn't lost the ability to do this. He simply didn't need to because Natsu's punches only left very minor scratches on his face.
lol if u say so base natsu is trashing him right now so basically ur saying laxus gildartz jellal and the rest and put that much damage on FH zeref but gildartz couldnt put a starch on august? now tell me doesnt that make sense? im not mad that natsu is fighting zeref. its how executed. how can base natsu put damage on FH zeref? when DF natsu couldnt. lol the power levels are shit is mypoint

I see Natsu overall as on Gildarts' level, but Dragon Force puts him on on the top of Zeref's level for a brief period. This is the same way that Natsu overall was on Erza's level during Tartarus, but Dragon Force puts him on Laxus' level for a brief period.

Base Natsu is landing hits on Zeref, but Zeref really isn't trying to block or dodge. Again, a few scratches on his face doesn't really amount to much. The one hit Zeref landed on Natsu did a lot more damage than the punches Natsu landed on Zeref.

its clear as day that he can use FDK spell in base form.
This is the problem. If he can use FDK spells in base form how are we readers supposed to know when he is in FDKM mode and when he is in base mode. So far Natsu has stated 2 times that he enter FDKM mode, first against Zeref and second time against Jacob. After that he never states that he enter FDKM mode, he simply uses FDK spells. This is different for DF. Every time he enterd it it was clearly stated. After his fight with Jacob FDKM pretty much bacome base mode for Natsu. So i dont know how do you guys state that current Natsu is fighting Zeref in base mode.

This is the same way that Natsu overall was on Erza's level during Tartarus,
...
Erza defeated the strongest Demon Gate in a one on one while Natsu was struggling with weaker ones like Jackal and Franmalth.
Tartarus Erza is superior to Tartarus Natsu. Dragon Force simply puts him on Erza's level, not higher, and even that's debatable.

lol Natsu at Erza' level during Tartaros arc.

base Natsu was rag dolled by base Tempester.

Erza was going toe to toe with Kyôka.

LFD Natsu' secret art did little to no damage to Etherious Tempester.

Natsu was nowhere near Erza at all.

natsu wasnt on erza lvl in tartrous nor is natsu without DF is on gildartz level we can debate that if u want. with DF natsu>gildartz no doubt in my mind. zeref shouldnt be spitting blood by natsu base punches a feat that BDKM NATSU couldnt perform. lol he isnt trying to block or dodge lol okkk. that the excuse now? gildartz couldnt starch august but i guess august durability>FH zeref durability. if that the case then so be it. to me zeref was false hype hasnt done anything that impressive to me. base natsu>FH zeref or zeref durability is just shit

Jackal caused whatever touched him to explode. When it came to hand to hand combat, Natsu ragdolled him. Erza doesn't have the ability to make Natsu explode on contact, so saying Jackal made Natsu struggle isn't really relevant. A fight between Natsu and Erza would be determined by their hand to hand skills mostly, and Jackal wasn't anywhere near Natsu in that regard. Franmalth was immune to magical attacks. Once Natsu figured out that he could just smash him with a rock, he was fairly easily beat. Franmalth also had Hade's magical power, and Hades' power should be at least Makarov's level.

Erza went all out fighting Kyouka. Natsu fought Jackal, Franmalth, and Tempesta without really going all out. It was really only against Mard Geer that he went all out.

its hiro fault for screwing up the PL base natsu punches trash an enchanted nienhart but didnt do shit ajeel. he need FDKM to beat jacob but base mode natsu is easily putting damage on Fh zeref. a feat that BDKM natsu (ig natsu as people call it) couldn't do. base natsu is the strongest right now

Whether or not Natsu was on Erza's level in Tartarus is not really that important, but we can discuss this if you want. The main point is that Natsu overall is on Gildart's level. His base mode is weaker, and his dragon force is stronger than Gildarts. However, overall he is around that level.

Zeref was bleeding after Igneel-powered Natsu's attacks. He looked a lot more beaten up back then than he does now. Natsu did minimal damage to Zeref last chapter. Like I said, it amounted to a few scratches on his face which is honestly nothing. Besides, Zeref was never stated to be immune to damage or have magic that reinforces the toughness of his body. August can negate caster magic, which is what he did to most of Gildart's attacks. The one attack that did land was true heaven, and it didn't have any effect at all. So what exactly is the big deal? Are you seriously trying to tell me a few scratches on Zeref's face proves that August is superior to Zeref?

doesnt matter jackal made natsu to use LFD spells to oneshot him. if lucy wasnt there natsu would have lost vs franmalth. hades>>>franmalth hades wont get trash by a huge rock. erza fought the strongest out of the demon gates and won by herself natsu couldnt beat tempster in LFD mode lol something that laxus two shotted him. tartaros erza mid diff tartaros natsu

he was going all out against Tempester.

if you think that LFDM Natsu against Tempester was not going all out then I don't know what you think it is.

unless you include DF which he activated by emotional trigger which again, did little damage to Mard Geer.

face it, Natsu wasn't that strong during the Tartaros arc.

mid tier but not high or top tier.

he gets mid diff by Erza in LFDM and no - low diff by Laxus, Jellal and Gildarts.

But those are their abilities though? You can't be using them as an excuse for why Natsu lost. When it came to it, Natsu fought them, they used their abilities and overpowered him until he got help from outside sources (Happy, Lucy, Wendy).
Natsu fought Jackal, Franmalth, and Tempesta without really going all out.
He used LFD on all of them, and could only use DF when Igneel came out of his body. Prior to that, he didn't have access to DF, so LFD was his strongest mode. So yes, Natsu did go all out when he fought them + had help along the way.
Erza soloed with her own power. That's more impressive overall.

He was going all out against Mard Geer. If he went all out against Tempester, he would have been exhausted. He wasn't. He went on to fight Mard. If dragon force is considered an emotional trigger, then the same can be said about Erza's POF against Kyouka. I am pretty certain you're just looking for any excuse to downplay Natsu.

But those are their abilities though? You can't be using them as an excuse for why Natsu lost. When it came to it, Natsu fought them, they used their abilities and overpowered him until he got help from outside sources (Happy, Lucy, Wendy).

Natsu didn't lose. Those abilities are what gave Natsu a hard time, not their skill in combat or the power of their attacks. Erza would struggle against these opponents for the same reason that Natsu would. Erza doesn't have access to any of the abilities that would make Natsu struggle the same way he did against Jackal or Franmalth. A fight between Erza and Natsu would be based on their hand to hand combat skill, durability, speed, and power. None of which Erza outclasses Natsu by a significant enough margin to beat him mid-diff.

There's no reason Igneel coming out of Natsu's body would have any effect on his power level. Dragon Force was his own power.
