Igneel was half-dead. His soul was already extracted from his body, so he was at a severe disadvantage. Not only that, but Igneel said being "asleep" inside the dragon slayers' bodies for such a long time made the dragons a lot weaker and "out of shape" so to speak.


I never said Igneel had good speed feats. I said the parent dragons have 100x better speed feats than Acnologia. Dragons like Metalicana, Grandeeney, Weisslogia, and Skiadrum blitzed Faces scattered across the continent in mere seconds.


Half-dead Igneel was able to rip off an arm of a low-tier dragon (Acnologia), right after he woke up from a long slumber.

That feat by itself >>> Destroying nobody and having Christina tier speed



Tartaros Acnologia = EoS Acnologia

For Acnologia, the difference in power between those 2 arcs are practically negligible. The only difference is that Acnologia's true colors were exposed in Alvarez Arc... which turned out to be an embarrassment.

No one in the series can fuck with this dragon.

Again, I think you're missing the point here.

MCs beating the villain at the end of a story is inevitable. We all have to accept that whether we like it or not. And I've never criticized Acnologia for losing the final fight.

What matters is how Acnologia performed before getting defeated. His feats against Christina were extremely weak and the approaches he took in each fight were just plain dumb.


He was more focused on bringing down an airship than killing off top-tier wizards.

His speed in dragon form was barely on par with an airship and his intelligence was beyond ludicrous.

We dont know how Acnologia took Igneel's soul, but we do know he didnt do it in person. Acnologia has never fought a full power Igneel, and only barely defeated Half Dead Igneel. Igneel at a fraction of his former strength is already on par with Acnologia, logically full power Igneel is stronger

Acnologia extracting Igneel's soul is technically an advantage in itself because his DS magic was made to handicap dragons. That's no different than Natsu being able to naturally eat the flames of another fire wizard. The point is that Acnologia couldn't beat Igneel in his prime, so he had to resort to a technique specifically created to "weaken dragons".


As for the GMG dragons, they would have killed Gajeel and several other dragon slayers if Ultear had not turned the clock back 1 minute.

Not to mention, without Atlas Flame teaming up with Natsu, the entire human race would have been wiped out by the dragons that day.


Hades was beating Team Natsu and Laxus before the exceeds destroyed his heart. Given the circumstances, Hades performed way better than Acnologia did in the last arc.



The "whole continent and 7 DS" had just finished fighting a large-scale war with another nation... Most of them were severely injured and looked ready to collapse.

Meanwhile, Dragon Acnologia just got a major power up from eating the Ravines of Time. How is that fair?


If anything, Acnologia should have an even easier time beating "the continent and 7 DS" with that kind of power. And he still couldn't kill at least 1 fodder by the end of the day.

we don't know that all in speculation but he had the ability to take souls that are up to dragons tier that alone is his OP ability. Only disadvantage was he wasn't 100% prime ingeel at best is equal to anco but not above.

I'm not aware that he had one, unless you are talking about the nukes he launched on Hargeon.

Parent Dragons stated Acno already beat them and Igneel. Acno's soul was beat by BS plot and because he was defenseless. His real body is undefeated, and he was stated to never have tried in a battle. He has never gone all out and even at the end of the series Acno's upper limit was never shown.

Acno would blitz Christina if he tried. Dragons >>>> Christina. The parents Dragons crossed a super continent in seconds while Christina took minutes to get out of the country.

Without BS plot Acno is without a doubt the strongest being in FT. No one holds a candle to him at full power.
