I think she will join him on their (laxus and Erza level) hype wise is already there.

When you thought that Kyria will put a good fight against Laxus, which Erza struggle with and she even called her a formidable one, yet failed to scratch Laxus. And Yet Erza manage to fight on par with Laxus.

Anything is possible in Fairy Tail.

If we consider the hype that that everyone in the Guild giving Mirajane then yes.

Erza is portrayed to be below Laxus.
Was the case the entire fight, and Erza herself realized that she was the underdog in the fight, hence wanting Gray or Natsu with her. She constantly needed borrowed magic and buffs to give him an extreme diff...........all that after Laxus wasted a good amonnt of magic on Kiria.
Laxus is conclusively stronger than Erza.

I'm tired of all this Gray downplay and I don't even like the guy!
It's not even like Gray was the only one who got stomped, Natsu and Erza got stomped as well. It's the typical stomp by villains in the beginning to generate hype.

People conveniently forget that Gray kept up with END in physical strength, speed and attack power. His Slayer power gives him a boost only to damage output.
And a less demonic (powerful) END was strong enough to power out of Dimaria's timestop hax.

END can just do it because he has some special going on.

It surely has something to do with it. Hax generally fails when relative magic power is high compared to the user. Eg: Brandish's magic failing on Neinhart, Kiria's hax failing on Laxus etc

even if it does, MP means nothing nowdays.

Neinhart was enchanted by Irene herself though, Kiria's hax didn't work on Laxus because of his weak heart.

Brandish' magic worked on August, Mest' magic worked on Brandish, Marin' magic worked on Jacob etc

hax is idiotic IMO.

MP doesn't matter, overall strength matters. If Mashima views a certain character stronger than another, then hax or no that character will win. They don't even necessarily need to find a counter to the hax, or be immune to it, or even have too much MP for it, they'll just win. Like END vs Dimaria, END was stronger so he won, with Dimaria's hax not mattering at all. Laxus vs Wahl, Laxus was stronger, so lightning immunity can't stop him from killing Wahl. Jellal vs OS, Jellal was stronger, so Midnight's hax don't mean shit, Jellal didn't even need a special method to get around Reflector, his spells just hit regardless. The only time hax works on someone stronger is when plot needs it to, to get rid of that stronger character for a while, like Mest and Brandish or Aria and Makarov, and this almost always happens as a surprise attack.

Power>Hax. No matter how good your hax is, whether its Dimaria, Brandish, Seilah or whoever, if they ever face someone stronger than they are, then they'll lose, even with their logically unbeatable hax.
