That's why I said Igneel can win if he only uses physicals. If Igneel uses dragon slaying magic then he could very well lose.
He won't lose. August will have a limit to what he can absorb. Natsu's arm was damaged severely after injured after absorbing Ignia's powers.
It's not the amount that hurt Natsu, it was the heat. August's fire nuke was by FAR larger than Ignia's attack yet Natsu didn't take any damage from eating it, whereas Natsu's arms had 3rd degree burns from eating a much smaller amount of Ignia's flames. Igneel's fire has never burned Alvarez Natsu, who's weaker than August, so Igneel's fire won't burn August, it'll only power him up, combine that with dragon force and Igneel isn't going to win easily, or at all.

Alvarez Natsu used whatever Igneel left was from his half-dead state and that was only a portion of it. Natsu didn't have Tartoros Igneel full power.

why didn't Zeref just send August to copy Acnologia and stomp him because that's basically what it means if August can stomp Igneel like that LMAO
You realize that wouldn't work on Acno for various reasons: hes practically immune to magic, so even if August can copy his magic, he wouldn't be able to nullify Acno's magic. Also, the most important part, Acno would give him the Serena treatment (we saw August couldn't react to it). Also why did you take a screenshot of my post right after I posted it? Only a portion of Igneel's flames, cool, how does that help your case? Ignia used only a portion of his strength to power up Natsu too, yet the difference in heat is very noticeable. Obviously Natsu didn't have Tartaros Igneel's full power, and August wouldn't either unless Igneel decides to use all his power in just one attack, which is extremely out of character. I don't get your logic.

Read what I said again, practically. He's not straight up immune, but to people much weaker than him, he practically is.
I mean, people still think Irene no diffs Suzaku and August can dragonize and destroy Igneel so that part about Erza is nothing.
Well his immunity to magic was nulled by Motion sickness.

No, he couldn't. Even if we assume August can indeed nullify someone as powerful as Igneel, Igneel would still tank everything August throws at him effortlessly until August dies of old age. August has no option of winning, and Igneel has no option of losing, aside from just outright killing himself.
