Are Dragons immortal?

I don't mean Zeref immortal where they cannot be killed, I mean can they die of old age? As we see with Acnologia and Irene, both look to be in their mid-late twenties despite being 400 years old.

Can Dragons possibly live forever if they're not killed is the question?

Are Dragons immortal?

I thought they just have Longevity. Zirconis and others feast on humans' right. If they are immortal they don't need to such a thing. Maybe they are doing it for fun. If that the case they might have a form of immortality that lets them live forever unless killed as you said. @Axiomus what do you think.

Probably not. Though it's like you said....they probably have extremely long lifespans. Ignia looks to be in his 20-30s, and he's been around for 400 years.

Do you think Dragon Slayers have to turn into Dragons (Acno and Irene) to activate this elongated lifespan? Or do they automatically have it from just the Dragon Seed?

For example, do they stop aging after they turn into a Dragon themselves?

They start aging like a dragon once they become a dragon.
