A quick breather for our characters, and then in my next post, the enemies will appear!! I suppose I could have had them appear in my most recent post but I didn't want to rush too far ahead without letting anyone else get in a word in.
I know I've still not finished the Guild stamp, but I promise I'll have it done by next Monday - I'll try and scan a picture in and upload it, but we may have to settle for some scribble I do on Paint. :P
EDIT: Once the fighting starts next chapter everyone will get one individual fight (doesn't matter what order they occur in so we can just go with the flow) and after that they'll be confronted by Argent!! Our rag0tag bunch of misfits may have learn to cooperate to beat him. Hint hint, lol. And don't worry, Rarhyx, the train will have stopped by then. :P
Since this arc won't take much longer to finish, we may as well begin discussing the next one. Sooo, there's two main issued to discuss, I think. One is what the adventure the arc will consist of, and the other is which (if any) of our characters' back-stories will be explored. The following are ideas for arcs (they're all also on the first post of this thread) but if you have any ideas you'd like to do, then please do say so.
Investigate the Ghost Ship
A gigantic galleon which more closely resembles a castle than a ship is moored off-shore. Members of the Guild go to investigate it. The ship's owners, meanwhile, are planning to claim a powerful Lost Magic - Heaven Magic; at the right time, the sea opens up in a huge whirlpool, and the sea then becomes perfectly still, and solid to the touch (at this point the ship will cease to be "transport", DSes). At the bottom of the whirlpool (which becomes more like a set of stairs), the Heaven Magic is sealed. Our heroes stumble across this plot - should they stop the ship's crew, and if so, can they?
A mid-level mission whose results may have ramifications throughout the rest of the story. I have some biggish twists planned for this arc so it may not exactly be as simple as it seems, but I don't want to give too much away, unless anyone really wants to know. :P
Protect the Royal Family! (S-Rank)
The Seven Royal Family advertises for bodyguards to escort them to their new palace. The players take the job, but when they arrive for it, they find that several other guilds have also applied for the job – Valkyrie Ride, Sphinx Nose and Red Oni. All of them are accepted (such is the importance of the mission) despite clashes amongst them.
Unknown to our heroes, a Dark Guild is hot on their heels, lead by a Mage who is a long-lost relative of the Royal Family’s. He has discovered a terrible secret - when the five pieces of the Royal Ruby are collected, a terrible beast is summoned which only responds to one with Royal Blood in their veins. (Each member has one piece – the Dark Mage has the fifth). He hopes to summon the beast and use it to kill the Royal Family, and to then claim the throne for himself.
This would be a fairly large-scale Mission (since it involves other Guilds ala the Oración Seis arc and is S-Class) and would involve a group of powerful enemies.
The Guild is Attacked!
A certain S-Class Mage of The Wild Hunt left the Guild in anger many years ago. He then formed his own Guild (or Dark Guild, haven't decided yet). Obsessed with a petty sense of vengeance, he and his new guild mates finally return and begin to attack members of The Wild Hunt and wreak havoc in Dahlia Town. He then openly declares war on his former Guild and all of its members have to band together if they want to defeat their former comrade and his six powerful team mates.
This arc will probably be less complex than some of the others (more fighting, less discussion and talking) but the antagonists I have planned are all intended to be pretty damn powerful. Their leader (the ex S-Class Mage) and his six guild members form a group whose magic are based upon the Seven Deadly Sins.
If any of those strike anyone's fancy for a second arc, or if anyone thinks they might want to work their character's back-story into one of them, then say so. Equally, if you don't like any of them or have your own ideas, tell me.

I'll also keep trying to come up with more ideas.
