Damnit, you little shit!' Shakily, he stood up. 'If I can't beat you, I'll damn well take you down with me!' He formed another ball of magic and dropped it towards his foot. He kicked it directly upwards, sending it crashing into the ceiling above them. The explosion shook the whole room, bringing rubble raining down towards them. 'Haha!!!' he gleefully cackled, the manic look back in his eye. 'Die with me, boy!!'

" Why do I always end up with the mentally retarded ones" Dante said. His stupid fuck of an opponent obviously had problems in his head since wants to commit suicide. The debris from the roof was falling closer and closer to where he was standing. Leaping onto the rock that was closest to him, Dante launched towards one of the bigger falling pieces. Rolling onto the surface, he backflipped onto another piece and jumped on another. Finally, he was at a decent height in the air.

Another rock passed below him and he launched towards it in a fetal position. Before landing on top of it, he sprung his legs out and made the rock zoom towards Footsoul.

 

[Rarhyx]

'Yowch!' he yelled as he took the force of the attack. As he did so, though, he grabbed Terry's fist, holding him in place. From behind him darted the Sun Mage, who gleefully slammed the flaming ball of magic she had produced into Terry's side.

Before Terry could react he was hit by a falimg magic ball into his side and flew against the wall.

"Ouch, that hurt a little you know?" said he and gasped a little.

Dante was barely able to cover his head with his arms crossed. The impact must have broken his wrists because it was swinging loosely. The ground below him started cracking and lowering every second.

"Alicia, get out of here" he yelled.

"Be carefull and don't lose Dante!" yelled Alica back at him and flew into the next room where she saw 3 doors.
"I guess that idiot just took the straigth way without thinking, like always" thought she to herself and took also they door in front of her.

"Terry! Dante needs help!" shouted Alica when she saw his partner.

"Sorry to say that but Dante has to wait, this fight here will be a bit hard." was his response.

"Hurry, this isn't your first 2on1 fight." said the Exceed and gave him his two swords.

"Thanks for my beloved swords and now get out and search for Okami or Sniff."

Alica flew fast back into the previous room and took the way to her left where she saw Sniff fighting another takeover mage.

Terry stood up again and activated his Black Lightning Aura
"This one is a bit tricky, I think I have to give my all" whispered he.
'Black Lighting Storm!' Black Bolts where shootting out of Terry's body and the same time he chraged with BL Spheres in both his hands against Naru

 

[Tame]

'YOU THINK I DIDN'T TRY TO SAVE THE WOMAN I LOVED!' Trex roared, covering his frame with the shield-like arm, the boy managed to push him back a few metres his feet leaving talon-like trail marks. He aimed his tail right at Sniff's punching arm with crushing force. Sniff grabbed the tail with one free hand and the two remained locked like that, vying for control.

'Then try some more!' Sniff roared back. 'Right now the woman you love is trying to kill my friend! Neither of us want that! So instead of fighting amongst ourselves, let's go stop them!'


Another rock passed below Dante and he launched towards it in a fetal position. Before landing on top of it, he sprung his legs out and made the rock zoom towards Footsoul. This unexpected move caught him by surprise - the rock struck him in the head, knocking him unconscious. The room's collapse was already irreparable, though. The rubble had already covered the entrance to the ruins, and if he didn't get through the doorway to one of the other rooms soon, Dante would be crushed too.


Terry stood up again and activated his Black Lightning Aura.

'This one is a bit tricky, I think I have to give my all, whispered he. 'Black Lighting Storm!' Black Bolts where shooting out of Terry's body and the same time he chraged with BL Spheres in both his hands against Naru. The boy snickered and dodged out of the way of the Spheres, but as soon as he came up behind Terry to strike, the Dragon Slayer's lightning aura shocked his body, propelling him towards Kiri. She tutted and stepped aside, letting her team mate slam comically into a wall.

'Looks like close combat won't work for now,' she said, throwing four balls of burning light at Terry in a quick flurry. 'Sun Barrage!!' she yelled.


'What is this?!' Athena, looking around in horror. Neptune and Mercury were both on their knees, bruised and cut up. Karrosil was just lying on the ground, looking up at her and laughing.

'What is real?! What is illusion?!' he cackled. 'Even I can't tell the difference!' The sky was dark with purple cloud. Down from the clouds more and more beings kept appearing, dark, smoky beings, more phantasm than form. But even though they were just smoke, they attacked like physically creatures, somehow.

'We're not suited to this kind of opponent, Athena-sama,' said Mercury through gritted teeth.

'Damnit, he's right!' yelled Neptune in anguish. 'Though it pains me to admit iiiit! Close our gates - you know which Spirit to use!'

Athena nodded firmly. They were right. 'Thank you both, Neptune, Mercury! You fought tremendously. Now get some rest. Close, Gates!' As the spirits disappeared, she took another key from her belt. 'This one will end this petty trick.'

 

[Rarhyx]

Terry tried to block the Sun Barrage with Red Lightning Spheres in his both hands, but got still hurt and his hands were burned a little by the Sun Barrage.
After blocking the fire balls Terry launched a BL Dragon Roar against his two opponents.

 

[Tame]

'No!' yelled Naru as the torrent of black lightning headed towards them. From where he lay he jumped up and sped over to Kiri in an instant. He shoved her over, skimming her back across the ground, but out of the way of the Dragon's Roar. It struck him full force, slamming him against the wall and doing huge damage. Kiri could only look on in horror.

As the attack subsided, Naru dropped to his knees, then fell flat on his face. Kiri ran over to him. 'Why did you do that...?' she whimpered, reverting back to her timid self.

'I just wanted... to protect... you..' Naru groaned.

'Y-you don't even like me...'

'I.... love...' Naru's eyes fell closed.

Kiri looked up at Terry. The timidity in her eyes was gone, replaced by fury. She stood up, her magic power increasing. 'You hurt him!!' she roared, a spinning sphere of burning fire appearing in her hands, much larger and fiercer than the ones before. 'You'll pay!! Sun's Fury!!' She hurled the ball at Terry, singing the ground as it soared over it.

Seeing Kiri's eyes filled with fury Terry could only say "Fck".
With the fire ball coming closer and closer Terry couldn't move. The recoil from his BL were already affecting him.
"Spheres won't work on this one and for another dragon roar I'm too tired, alright thats it!"
Terry wantet to position his hands for a Lightning Canon but could only move his left hand, and fired a YL beam against that magical fire ball.
Though not using both hands, the lightning canon wasn't strong enough to block the attack fully, Terry's left arm got heavily burned.

"Aaarghh" Terry screamed in pain.
"WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO OKAMI'S SISTER? SHE'S NOT THE ARI WE KNOW ANMYORE" yelled the damaged DS at Kiri.

 

[RaveDragon]

'Then try some more!' Sniff roared back. 'Right now the woman you love is trying to kill my friend! Neither of us want that! So instead of fighting amongst ourselves, let's go stop them!'

Fury in his eyes trex raised the takeover mage above his head ready to throw him away. Sniff instead looked iin the eyes of a man who was rethinking his whole purpose.

"..., You are right..." Trex eyes widened into the realization of his actions he gave in losing balance amd letting Sniff go. His takeover slipped away as he covered his face in shame.

"Oh God what have we done...what are we doing!" He screamed in his hands. He looked at the astonished Sniff who did not believe his words could do so much. Trex was a sensible man and he was lucky for that. He looked with determination into Sniffs eyes and nodded.

"I will explain everything, I knew you were strong boy, but you are far more impressive with words," Trex chcukled a rare smile gracing his strong features.


Laymia opened her eyes tentatively as she noticed she was not in pain, the attack had never reached her for, the weight she felt on her body disspapered as warmth replaced it. She heard the dragon slayer question her big sister and remembered the one person she loved in her life, who had taken her in after she ran away from the orphanage and thought her healing magic had betrayed her. The little pre teen would have cried had it not been for the celestial dragons slayers comfoting warmth. The girl was bleeding profusely were she had been hit but a fire had ignited in her eyes. Laymia distinctively placed her hands on the girls wounds, Okami let out a sigh of relief as they closed, she was even less fatigued.

"You would betray me Laymia? I gave you everything," the harsh voice asked from Okami's sisters body.

"No demon, Ari gave her everything, you're not Ari!" she cried putting Laymia down and giving her Tora who was trembling. She ruffled the girls hair and promised she would save Ari maybe even to herself.

"Tsk, I've been found out, yes my name is Azalel, son of zeref, but my true body is locked in this scythe and the sceptre in this locked room," the demon spoke through Ari gesturing at the decorated door behind him, "How are you going to beat me when I hold this bo-"

"Hee,"

"Celestial dragon fang!" Okami roared with a smirk pushing herself forward and attacking, she punched Ari's face with all her might sending the demon right intoo the door, a barrier stopped the body from crushing into it and sent it straight back at okami.
"Celestial dragon talon!"

"you little twerp," the demon recovered countering the attack ith the sycthe the two exploded apart skidding a few metres from each other.

"I see so that door can only be opened by mothers swords," Okami mumbled as she stood upright.

 

[Tame]

'WHAT THE FUCK IS WRONG WITH YOU GUYS?! WHAT DID YOU DO TO OKAMI'S SISTER? SHE'S NOT THE ARI WE KNOW ANMYORE!' yelled the damaged Terry at Kiri.

'We didn't do anything!!' screamed Kiri in response. 'She saved us!!' Lifting her hands, she fired a Sun Ball the roof, making it explode outwards. Through the hole she had made, sun light shone down on them. 'The birghter the sun light, the greater my power!!' Above her head, another ball of fire began to swirl and take shape, much larger than any of the others. 'This will be my final attack!!' she declared. In such a confined space, Terry would be burnt to death unless he interrupted her spell.


'Open, Gate of the Bringer of Jollity!!' There was a flash of light!! A fanfare played!! Lightning struck the ground in front of her!! Then appeared...! A crotchety old man, hunched over, leaning on a walking stick. He had a thick moustache and a leer on his face that was directed at Athena's fine form.

'Hehehe,' Jupiter said, prodding Athena in the boob. 'You relly fill out that dress, Athena-sama,' he commented, blood trickling from his nose.

'Hands off!' she yelled indignantly, slapping him hard across the face.

'Mmmm, yes, put me in my place!' he laughed, more blood running down his face. Behind him approached one of the creatures swinging a smoky scythe down at him. Without turning round, the spirit tossed a bolt of lightning over his shoulder that pierced the figment, dispersings its form into nothingness. Turning his head slightly, Jupiter looked out of the corner of his narrowed eyes straight at Karrosil. 'This conjurer dares face Athena-sama...?' he asked menacingly. With sudden energy, he thrust his stick skyward, and a flash of lightning shot down, dispersing the purple clouds, and with them the strange creatures.

Karrosil could only stare in fear as Jupiter turned to face him, his walking stick crackling with the power of the lightning bolt that had struck it. 'Listen, young man. Anyone who threatens Athena-sama dies at the hands of me and my children. Repent!!'

With this, he hurled his stick like a javelin. It shot through the air, struck Karrosil in the shoulder and burst with magical lightning. Electricity coursed through the Mage's body as he was shocked into submission.

'That's enough, Jupiter,' Athena commanded. Jupiter nodded his head obediently. He snapped his fingers, and the electrocution ceased. Karrosil's unconcious form twitched, and a noticable stain had appeared around his crotch.

"Wowowow! Time out! Time out! Time out!" yelled Terry as fast as possible when he saw what Kir wanted to throw at him.

"What do you mean by you didn't nothing and she saved you?! If she saved you, why is she acting now different? She's not the same Ari as we supposed to know anymore. Was she already in this state when she saved you or did she change later?", right after finishing his sentence Terry fired a YL Canon with his right hand against the floor to throw his body in Naru's direction. He landed near him.

"Fire that thing at me and your buddy will also be ashes. I think youn don't want to hurt him plus you don't seem like someone who can abandon and sacrifice his own teammates." Terry couldn't move anymore the buring on his left arm and the side effects of BL were to strong.

 

[Tame]

In the berserker rage she was in, Kiri nearly threw the fiery ball regardless. Then her rational side took hold long enough to throw it upwards with all her might, sending it through the hole and the ceiling where it dispersed safely in the sky above.

She dropped to her knees, exhausted. 'You... you talk to much...' she panted, exhausted and frustrated at her own weakness. 'Ari has changed, I know, but she saved our lives! Mine and Naru's, and some of the others' too! Who are we to question her goals?' she said pleadingly to Terry, as if trying to convince herself that they had done right. She began to sob quietly, all the anger and fight gone out of her.

 

[Rarhyx]

Laying on his back and looking at the blue sky with some beautiful clouds passing by Terry answered:

"Well if one of my mates would take the wrong path and I'd notice it, I'd beat the crap out of him, before he or her can do something stupid.Or before he could do something which he would regret later."

"May I ask how she saved you? Or when did you notice that she changed or rather after what incident. Wait forget this for now. What is Ari planning to do here, I have a very bad feeling." asked the DS his previous enemy.

'Ah, you flatter me,' he said, blushing a little. 'But details later. Right now, let's go stop Ari.' He jerked his thumb over his shoulder, indicating the route back to the entrance hall of the ruins.

"yes..." the man nodded as he led the way. His eyes widened at the burst of malefic magic he felt, "Ari is gone...I can;t feel her anymore..."
He looked at Sniff and gestured for the man to follow him.


"Smart little pest," the demonic voice spoke, "But you have a flaw, your heart,"

"My heart is my strenght," the dragon slayer roared, "And you sister, I know you're in there, this is pathetic how you're subjugated by this ass,"

The two clashed with as their magic black and silvery blue danced in the air with sparks, fist colliding with blade. It was a good thing Okami had initiated her hand takeover or it would be in shreds.

"Ari nee took me in, she was like a mother and a big sis to me, but this is wrong," Laymia said in tears. Tora patted her head from her shoulder were she was perched.

"Okami will save her, she's strong," she confided. The girl looked in awe at the celestial dragon slayer wondering if she could be like her one day.

"Is a guild fun?" she asked the cat shyly who grinned at her and nodded making the child smile back.

"Enough of this," Azalel spat the pole of the scythe collided hit Okami's head sending her into a wall.

Okami blinked to see the little girl and Tora in the demons grasp. The kid was crying and calling for her oneesama, it triggered a memory in her mind, Okami in her room, her body was covered from head to tail in bandages and her eyes were a blank stare, that kid was like her. Tora was grabbed from the tail and shaken.
Okami growled.

"open the door," the demon ordered.

"You can't use death magic in that body can you? it damages too much, you're bluffing," the dragons slayer countered.

"No child, you may be right, but I can still cut their throat...OPEN IT," azalel roared as okami stiffened and nodded getting into position in front of the door.

 

[Tame]

Just as Trex and Sniff were about to head through the doorway, a figure came flying through it, skidding along the floor in front of them. A moment later, Dante dived in too; they could see behind him the crumbling room finally collapse. Trex recognised the first figure as an unconcious Footsoul.

'Busted my arms,' Dante said. 'Had to kick the bastard through.'

'Guess we'll have to take the long way round,' Sniff said, looking at the wall of rocks that blocked their way. Meanwhile Dante was eyeing up Trex. 'It's okay,' Sniff said hurriedly before the boy did anything hasty. 'He's on our side now.'

He helped Footsoul onto Trex's back, and the four of them headed through the doorway adjacent to the one Dante had just come through.


'She wants the Sceptre,' Kiri said, slumped on the floor, looking subdued. 'She says then she can revive some Dark Mage called Zeref...'

'Ari saved the two of us back when she was still in your Guild,' said a croaky voice. It was Naru, who was awake enough to talk, but not to move. 'Some years later, we ran into her again... we had learned Magic by then, and she said she had left her Guild. We were only too happy to follow her... Only... she seemed different to how we remembered.'


Outside, Athena, having recalled Jupiter, hurried over to the entrance of the ruins. She noticed with dismay that it had collapsed; there was no way she was getting in that way. 'Damnit,' she said to herself as she wondered what to now. 'Please be okay, guys...'


Sniff, Dante and Trex found themselves in another square room. They hurried through the left-hand door, and there came onto Terry, Kiri and Naru. 'Trex!' Kiri said in surprise. 'I-I'm glad you're alright. What's going on?'

'Terry, are you okay?' Sniff asked his team mate.

(OOC: Ghan said to take over Dante if he wasn't back by Thursday.)

'She wants the Sceptre,' Kiri said, slumped on the floor, looking subdued. 'She says then she can revive some Dark Mage called Zeref...'

'Ari saved the two of us back when she was still in your Guild,' said a croaky voice. It was Naru, who was awake enough to talk, but not to move. 'Some years later, we ran into her again... we had learned Magic by then, and she said she had left her Guild. We were only too happy to follow her... Only... she seemed different to how we remembered.'

"Oh, crap." sighed Terry and stood up. "Did you forget what happened at the tower of heaven, when someone wanted to revive Zeref? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHO THE FUCK ZEREF IS?!" continued he with a louder voice.

"Stand up already we have to stop her. I swear if something happens to my mates I'll kill you. I'll kill you all." anger was heard in his voice.


'Terry, are you okay?' Sniff asked his team mate.


"Oh, hey there. Besides my burned arm, yes." looking at his left arm he continued "Crap, my shirt is burned well. What 'bout you, you alright?"

Alica landed on Terry's head.
"It sure took a while for you" smiled she.

"Told ya!" responded he to his partner with a smile. "See? Dante didn't need my help, right mate?" looking at Dante.

 

[Ghan]

" Even though I completely ruined my arms, I was able to handle him" dante said

"More importantly, we need to get to where Okami is."

 

[Tame]

'I'm still good, thanks,' said Sniff.

'Even though I completely ruined my arms, I was able to handle him,' Dante said.

'More importantly, we need to get to where Okami is.'

'Agreed. This way, let's go!' said Sniff, pointing at one doorway and about to head through it.

'How bad is your sense of direction?' choked Naru, pulling himself up. 'They're this way,' he said, pointing down a different corridor. Snuff blushed; it was true, his sense of direction was famously bad.

'Er, you sure?' he asked. Naru nodded.

'Through there, then take a left.' Sniff looked to the others for confirmation. 'It's easy!' Naru said, getting frustrated. 'It's a grid system! Each room is square and has a door in each wall! Your friend went left first, and we went straight on! So left and left again takes you to the first room she went in!'

This seemed to make sense. 'Well then,' Sniff said, looking from Dante to Terry to Alica. 'Let's go help our Nakama!'

 

[Ghan]

Sniff looked to Dante, Terry and Alica for confirmation.

"We dont have anything else to go off of. so we might as well listen", Dante told Sniff.

 

[Rarhyx]

This seemed to make sense. 'Well then,' Sniff said, looking from Dante to Terry to Alica. 'Let's go help our Nakama!'

Terry nodded while Alica confirmed what Naru said.
"He's right, I can confirm this. Let's hurry."

 

[RaveDragon]

"I'll open it I'll open it!" Okami growled with raised arms as she took the position and her dual swords. She sent a silent prayer to her mother and any god that would listen to her to save them from whatever was behind that door. The air of malevolance was thick before she even opened it and she was not keen to see the real Azalel.

'This was all my fault' the dragon slayer could only think.

"So all we gotta do is grab the scythe and bring it to the museum right?" the young Okami with shorter messy hair asked her older sister who nodded with an adventurous smirk as she pointed towards the door in front of them, holding a map.

"This is it Okami, then we can take some time off and go look for mother," Ari nodded promising.

"NYAA!" Tora mumbled sleepily on okamis head as the juvenile dragon slayer swung her sword pointing to the doors and the gates swung open.

"there it is, but something feels waaay off," Okami mumbled as the sisters walked atop the pedestal and the celestial dragon slayer
Ari's eyes widened as she saw the purple spark of evil magic, she shrieked for Okami not to touch the scythe but the only thing she could do was pull it out of her reach and feeling her consciousness do numb. The last thing she saw was Okami's fearful face calling he name tentatively and the blade of the scythe descending upon the people she loved most

Okami felt her heart clench when she saw the sam kind of alter which the scythe had been stored on. Only a scepter with similar marking to the malevolent object was in its place. The demon threw his prisoners to one side, too absorbed in his victory to care to kill them, as he moved to grab the scepter. Okami jumped just ion time to save the child and her exceed form hitting the wall.

"Finally, my true body will be unleashed and my fathers will shall prevail," the demon cackled as he raised both scepter and scythe, Ari suddenly seemed to flicker to her real self as the two object levitated with what seemed like red mist that was forming a distinctive shape, Okami managed to grab her sisters body before running back to Laymia and Tora. The demon had left Ari's body, but why could she still small him in her? Maybe it took time to completely eliminate the influence?

"Where are you guys, I need your help," Okami mumbled to herself hodling the unconsious ari and sheltering the trembling Tora and Laymia who repeatedly apologized.

 

[Tame]

Leaving Kiri to drag Naru along behind them, Terry, Dante, Alica and Sniff hurried through the ruins towards their friend. Trex was just behind them, Footsoul still on his back. They could all feel an umistakably evil Magic from somewhere up ahead which spurred them on to get there even faster. In moments they arrived in the room where Ari and Okami had fought. They all immediately looked over to their right where they could see Okami holding the unconscious Ari and sheltering the frightened Laymia and Tora.

In the room beyond them floated the sceptre and the scythe, and the red mist that was emanating Dark Magic seemed to be taking shape. The pressure it gave off was suffocating and oppressive.

'What's going on?' Sniff exclaimed out loud, unable out of fear to look away from the mist. 'Okami, are you okay?!'
