As I understood it, Avengers inherently want revenge on the world, and the protag by nature isn't that kinda guy and rejects the idea. If you recall, Marie Alter tried to make Ritsuka go the revenge route and while he got tempted, he decided against it in the end. Avengers whole deal is kinda anti-humanity, so they decide to leave to help Ritsuka and increase the foundation of humanity. That's the whole goal of these Ordeal Call (and to increase FGOs runtime ofc : D), otherwise we can't get past the final barrier.

Yes but I feel like some of the avengers wouldn’t tempt. Plus we then get Xu Fu Avenger like next up….So they keep coming ^^ Never far from an avenger popping up in the story. There are different levels with avengers kind of like there are different berserkers with madness. Like Gorgon and Lobo hate humans/want destruction against humans but some are more against certain humans like NitoAlter, Salieri, and Nobunaga. Like some are more serious vengeance and some are more avenger.

Basically some are more hardcore and some are more in name only. It kind of feels weird to send them all away collectively

Plus we just got where we could summon beasts. So it’s like we can’t summon spirits with vendettas against humanity but we can summon beasts of humanity. I think rejecting the vengence in the heart alone could have been fine for our protagonist. It’s just a strange detour to reach the final barrier.
