Favorites Favorite Arc

What is your favorite arc? Mine was Shin York. The Phantom Troupe alone made it the most interesting, add the perfect amount of suspense and action.

It has to be Shin York, with the Hunters exam a close second. I like HxH dark shounen feel. It's rare to find shounen that are borderline seinen like HxH. If it wasn't for Gon, this series could easily have been a seinen manga because of the dynamics of its characters

Has to be the Hunter Exam for me, being introduced to a manga and the characters is something that's always special, especially when it all kicks off like it did with HxH during the exam.

hmmm that's hard lol i pretty much like all of them lol yea how biased can i get XDD but like the majority of people i'll probably have to go with york shin on this one. I just loved the arc to bits. I thought the ryodan were perfect antagonists and i loved the development kurapica went through learning to deal with killing someone. Wow the arc really amazed me. Like said above i loved the dark moments it added which is rare in a lot of shounen manga nowadays.

Contrary to other people's opinions i actually think the chimera ant arc is one of my fave's too. Hmm maybe it's cause i didn't read it daily like others and just recently caught up to the manga, but i really love the developments of killua and gon in this arc. There's also a lot of scenes that i really want to see get animated, and pray that Nippon animation animates it soon!!!

Yorkshin is my favorite. Plenty of action and good drama. It runs down like this for me:

Greed Island
Chimera Ants
Heaven's Arena
Zoldycks

The Zoldycks almost felt like a filler to me...but there was some pretty interesting development during the arc.

Celestial tower and Greed island (tied for 3rd)

i never realized there has been so many arcs now. They seem to just meld together and if you dont look for it you cant really tell because even in the middle chapters inbetween each arc interesting things still happen.

I always considered the Celestial Tower as part of the Hunter Exam. Remember that the Exam wasn't finished until they developed Nen powers. So the Zoldiecks' and Celestial Tower seem to me like the 'Hunter Exam Arc' altogether. No distinction.

Imo, there were 4 so far: Hunter Exam; York Shin (Kurapica's quest against the Ryodan); Greed Island; and Chimera Ants.

Hunter Exam and Chimera ants. The first one because there was so many things to know and Chimera one because it developes Gon and Killua techniques at the point of admiration.

i loved how nen was introduced in the heaven's arena arc. how it showed hisoka as a true monster in the kastro fight was the epitome of the manga.

York Shin for now, solely because of the spider's leader part where he conducts the destruction of the city and then fights off the Zoaldycks. Although Chimera is slowly growing on me, so my answer might change after this arc is done (depending on its end).

Really didn't like so muck Yorkshin. It was too much foccused on the Spiders and I don't like them that much. I would vote on Greed Island, that was a very well-thinked saga (loved the "in game" scenario) and were where we finnaly got to see the Nen in use, but i must change my vote.

Vote for Chimera Arc. It started in a boring way, seemed like it would be a bad arc, but evolved so much that it's better every chapter. My favourite, absolutely. Nen to the max

I am still only at the Greed Island and i don't really have a favourite. I don't really think there an arc, that is better than the other, though for me until now the Zoldycks is definitely the one that imo wasn't that well developed. About the others i can't really distinguish cuz both were important in their on way and well developed.
But as i still haven't read everything, i am going to wait to vote

I re wrote this post.

I have just re read Hunter x Hunter for the 3rd time some of my previous favorites have changed. Chimera Ant arc is still my number 1, I really like the dark creepy atmosphere the arc had. The character development was amazing especially the Kings. The fights were phenomenal, and really showed you what nen was really capable of. My 2nd favorite arc is York Shin, the arc was straight up dark. The involvement of the mafia was beast, and the spiders were complete badass. Hunter exams is my 3rd. Greed Island is my least favorite it was good but not one my all time favorites. Heavens arena is my favorite smaller arc.

My favourite arc is probably York Shin, that was really interesting. So far i also enjoyed a lot Chimera arc but as it still hasn't end, i will not take it in consideration for now.
