Duke Nukem is the crazy gunner who can shoot his enemies... nude. That's a very nostalgic game.

Flimbo's Quest sort of rings a bell for me.

Dear God, these reminiscent games give me the reality check, "Hey, dude. You're getting old already." It's kind of sad how these once famous games have fallen into memories already.

I don't know about legendary, but here are some of the games we played with my bro...first Need for Speed and Need for Speed 2...Lotus from the same genre

Death Rally, Destruction Derby...

A good game, but not legendary enough for me, is Wild Arms 5. The hexagonal battle system is pretty unique for me. Plus, the effects are good. That Ice Queen in there sure is hot.

Here in the Philippines, one of the most popular massive multiplayer online role-playing games (MMORPG) is Ragnarok Online. I know many of you have heard of this game already due to its unrivaled popularity even up to now.

It started way back in 2004 and still lives up today, although not receiving as much glory as it did way back then.

My favorite jobs in there were Professors and High Priests. Now, the concept of the third job has already been included for some time now. But I'm no longer playing it due to lack of free time.

I'm pretty sure it was the best playstation title back then, or best rpg title or something, heck, the sales were awesome and y'know..
if it wasn't for FF7, square enix won't be here today.

They were the guys who created Cloud and Sephiroth, I mean..really, it's a big hit and I enjoyed it as hell.
Then there's crisis core, mind=blown.

Thumbs up, dude! I think FF7 initiated the breakthrough in most RPG's we know today. Of course, Legend of Legaia is astounding since it fosters 3D environment, but FF7 was definitely superior in terms of story line and graphics.

I agree with FF7. Though I can't understand why some people say the story sucks. but that's not for this thread so....

Although the story isn't great and there are some flaws, The Legend Of Dragoon is a legendary game imo.The Addition system was truly one of the best battle systems in any RPG up to this day. I still play it and have a lot of fun doing so.

I also agree with FF7.
But Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is brilliant. I got back into playing it a few weeks ago, and I am stuck at the stupid Whale... Since Yesterday I think.

I would also have to add Kingdom Hearts. I know it's not that old (Well, around eight years, but thats more than half of my life.) but it is brilliant. The art is good, the plot is fantastic, and it has Disney and Final Fantasy characters in it! (Cloud!!) So it is a classic for me, seeing I have watched my older cousin play it ever since I was 6 years old XD

OH! and when I read Classic, I automatically though of Pokemon Red and Blue. (or Green, whatever.) Gotta say, Pokemon = my childhood.

Agreed. I think both the story and battle system are good, but they're not what I consider as Very Good. Still, it earns its title as a Legendary game. I have played it twice already.

I haven't played Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time before. Many people have suggested that it's a very good game; and I'm interested to try it out. What platform can I play this game? Can I just download it from the net?

Ocarina of Time is for N64. I'm not sure if there is a remake of some sort for another platform though.

There is. A remake of Ocarina of time on the 3ds was announced.
It's to be released sometime this year but before the other title they are planning, zelda: skyward sword.

Anyone played crash bandicoot before?

I have played that, although the only Bandicoot I've ever played was Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped. For me, I consider the game in between Very Good and Legendary status; even so, the game was HIGHLY entertaining for me.

Five different areas per boss room, plus you need to procure three types of relics every area. I wasn't able to finish the hidden chamber in there. I had a pirated version of that in my PSP.

Who was the hardest boss for you? For me, it was N-Jin, the one with the robot in space.

Let's take it back even further...how about Shokoban anyone?

But if we're talking about more developed, modern series, then Fallout should be a top title, that everyone should know about

Haha...well truth to be told, I had access to PC technology since I was 3 or 4 years old...I dunno the year, but Shokoban was designed for MS-DOS IIRC...it was a game where you had to push boxes around to get a certain lineup, exit the room or maybe deliver a box...there were all sorts of level types...but the main idea was that you had to think, and then push boxes

I also remember my first tetris...aww those days...back in '67

Fallout 1 and 2 are similar to diablo, but there is also Fallout Tactics which improves the gameplay...fallout 3 was crap, full of bugs, I couldn't even get out of the vault...however I'm enjoying New Vegas...way better...
