Typesetting Font Identification and Recommendations

Looking for a few fonts

Hi
If a post like this violates any site rules, I apologize. I skimmed through some of the rules here and didn't see anything against it.

Anywho, I've been looking for a few fonts, but I have been unable to find them for free. Now before you go calling me cheap, one font costs over $500, I think that's just a tad excessive.

If anyone could point me in the direction of a free download for the fonts Whiz Bang and DF Craft Yu (preferably W7, but it really doesn't matter), I would be very thankful.

I don't know if they have those fonts in particular, but you should be able to find something similar at least. I'm pretty sure I've had Whiz Bang at some point, so it should be out there for free. Maybe it's included in this torrent: http://thepiratebay.org/tor/3681063/Comic_Fonts_(341.

Unfortunately, the other sites didn't have the other font, but I'm sure I'll be able to find it eventually.

Need help for chinese Edited Manga.

I would like to try out doing chinese Edited Manga. But I don't know what kind of chinese font I need for typesetting. So I would need some advices from the groups doing the chinese Edited Mangas. Would be much appreciated, Thank You!

In most cases I use fonts from Dynalab Hong Kong, they have many different fonts in both traditional and simplified Chinese. The one that I use for normal dialogue is DFHei

Free? No. Can you get it free? With some looking, probably. And for the record, all the fonts on that page but the handwritten are from Comicraft.

Lowercase font

What's a good low-case font to use for a cute, moe, slice of life manga?
Any suggestions?

So far I only have blambot casual and mighty zeo

A couple of possibilities could be Augie, Felt, Croobie, Gloofun, or Kristen ITC. Of these, the two I like the best are augie and felt. What's the series? Might help give a better sense of other fonts that might be good candidates. Good luck!

I was wondering what font do you guys use for your Edited Mangas?
I talked to one Manga Editor he used "Action Man", I think, but that font didn't look like what I normally see. So what font is it?

I use anime ace 2 and i think that a lot of aother groups use that too.
anyway, some people don't like it, i heard they use wild words.

Wild Words is the most commonly used font out there.

Do you recognise these two fonts?

Hi there, just a quick question from me whether people recognize the two fonts used on the following page:
http://www.mangafox.com/manga/shin_gumiho/v01/c002/

The reason behind this is because we're continuing the work of the previous group and want to use their old fonts to keep things consistent.
Btw. I already asked the previous group for the fonts but that was so long ago that nobody remembered (the guy who was responsible for this seemed to have left).

Looks like Stencil Std and Times New Roman, to me. I'm pretty sure both are Windows system fonts.

Also, keeping consistency between different groups isn't really important. If you see some fonts that you honestly think look better, you should go ahead and just use those. Of course, if these fonts look best in your opinion, there's no problem with sticking to them. I'd recommend just keeping an open mind and trying out other fonts as well. And if you can't find a font selection that fits in better than that one, just use that one.

Yeah, I just decided ot change at least the second font, because future releases will have the need of stroking the title chapter.
And I've never seen something as ridiculous looking as a stroked Times New Roman.
