get some own fonts...though japflaps font is pretty easy to find, imo...

Japflap uses wildwords for the main font and binktopia uses Astronomical Town or something close to it.

Dear Typesetters,

Dear Typesetters.

I'm lacking originality and imagination these days, for whatever reason.

In any case, I'm looking for font suggestions.

I'm doing a new Shounen-Mecha manga (Those of you who know me or know what I like and have bought for raws should know what this is), and I need to figure out what fonts to use.

So, I need suggestions. Those of you who think Anime Ace (And all Anime Ace variations) is a good and pretty font, please don't reply.

I'm looking for:

1) A main font. Preferably with the option to bold it without having to use Faux-Bold/Italics. Doesn't have to be all caps like Wild Words.

2) Two thought fonts. One for inside the bubbles, and one for outside thoughts.

Please don'T list any of the following fonts: Wild Words, Anime Ace, WebLetterer BB, VTC Letterer Pro, Action Man, Kid Kosmic, Chronicles of a Hero, Anime Ace, DigitalStrip, SF Toontime.

There are some replies. Surprisingly none suggesting I use Wild Words or Anime Ace. Neat.

Could you upload Astro City & Jack Armstrong? They look like unconventional fonts, though. Astro City looks like DigitalStrip-ish. Jack A looks like something I'd use in a horror manga.

Anyway, second request. I'm looking for handwritten texts. I use 3 (augie, Andy & Akbar) and they're boring me. I can't seem to find any good font to replace them. Greg's Hand looks a little Shoujo-ish.

For handwritten fonts, I don't know much but I like using Desyrel. There are lots of choices for handwritten fonts - you can find it on www.dafont.com.

This torrent has pretty much every font you will ever need for manga... ever. A lot of the fonts in this torrent are professional payfonts. It's only 6mb, so it'll download quickly. Astro City and Jack Armstrong are in there.

There's a decent number of handwriting fonts in there (I'd say 15 or so.) Peek through those a bit and see what you like. Personally, I like 'Almagro' and 'Irezumi'.
