another mystery I have been questioning is erza. she is basically 400 yrs old lol. but she passed through freed's runes.

Because she needs to defeat one of the enemies of the arc. It is a requirement for her.lol.

Did Gajeel actually use Dragon force, in his fight versus Bradman?

I'm not sure about this, since nobody explicitly mentioned dragon force in the fight. But, him seeing flashbacks of Wendy and Natsu in dragon force, right before showing a different form, tempts me to believe that it is indeed dragon force.

What do you guys think?

I think so. It's a new form and Gajeel kinda foreshadows it when he says he's the last one to get a DF.

Also, I know he has scales like a dragon when he goes into the iron scales thing but, his DF resembles that of Natsu and Sting/Rogue heavily

Yes, I think Gajeel attained DF after absorbing Bloodman's MBP. Pretty much the same reasons that Ramen mentioned.

Though it wasn't stated that it was dragon force, it was strongly implied to be when Mashima brought up how Gajeel is always the last to get the staple features that belong exclusively to dragon slayers. E.g. an Exceed partner and motion sickness. This was similar when August was shown using fire DS magic (Melt) when it was explained with examples how August's instantaneous copy + nullification magic work against his foes. It made sense storytelling-wise. Gajeel also has the same scales pattern on his face that Natsu, Sting and Rogue have when they enter DF. This is congruent too, so there are enough evidence to think that was Gajeel's DF. I hope there is an opportunity to see Gajeel using DF again in the 100yq. I would like to see him using it without the need for an external catalyst next time.

Yea, that was the major source of confusion for me. Cause he get scales when he uses iron skin as well. Them not stating explicitly that it was a DF, was a source of confusion as well. Since, during DF of all other characters, especially when they use it for the first time, they explicitly mention that it's dragon force.
But maybe Mashima stopped saying it too, he didn't mention it when Natsu activated DF against Zeref, Merc and Aldo as well, right? Let me check, not really sure about it.
Edit: it was mentioned against Zeref, by Mavis. But nobody mentioned anything vs Merc and Aldoron

But now, upon looking closer at the panel posted, the scales on his face indeed do look like the scales that Natsu shows while he's on dragon force. The scales that slowly retreat after powering down, seems very similar to how Natsu uses DF

I guess it's kinda confirmed then, it is dragon force.

The difference is that it was mentioned during the ToH so we knew what it was going after.
