Well Zenmaru is resolved to fight but the thing that he lacks IMO is self-reflection. He doesn't want to admit to himself that he is lacking something due to his ego. This fight will hopefully open his eyes and change for the better. As he is right now, he won't be able to redeem himself by rescuing Naoyoshi.

If the past 2 chapters were any indication the words not only he spoke but those of his father as well would lead you to believe he is dead. But I am going to say he will pull through and survive.

Kashitarou was indeed a genius. Pulling up a victory against a guy like that, its damn impressive. He will survive, he has to. He is such an entertaining character. Gama and others haven't harnessed their full potential. Kashitarou can guide them further to perfection or at least at a level where they can achieve their goals.

Well your post has one big flaw. If he survives he won't be in any condition to continue traveling with them. So I can't really see him giving Zen & Gama advice as they work their way towards the center castle. Pretty much Gama will continue getting stronger with each fight he has against a tough adversary, just like in the tournament.

Well, I meant in future. I am not sure Gama will be able to defeat his father in his current state. Even if Kashi remains immobile, his analytical skills are precious to their journey. I agree, Gama has grown in battles more than he has in training. Perhaps, Kashi may not be a big help for him. I can't say the same for Zen. He has a long way to go.

It's kind of odd, the only one's who could possibly defeat Jinsuke would be Iori or Gama after he gets much stronger during all of this. But to say that even after fighting his way towards the center Castle I don't think Gama would be strong enough. But we just had a time skip, and this is probably the decisive arc/final arc. I can't see them doing all this fighting only to get to the inner keep and lose to Jinsuke, or Gama not be strong enough.

It all feels too rushed, and somewhat unbelievable if Gama is the one to defeat him.
