this episode almost made me cry.
its freaking slow, they've completely destroyed the impel down arc with this episode,
this arc is like, the slowest pacing ever.
I hope they are doing this cos they are saving for the next arc.
Goddamnit.

What are you talking about? I found it fitting that the tower took 10 minutes to fall, that was the way the author imagined it to be.... =D

But tbh I enjoyed this episode, built up to next episode which hopefully will be a battle between them trying to escape and Magellan \o/

This Prison arc has been one of the best for the anime. Since the water 7 arc when they changed the animation it was more modern but it looked low quality and didn’t seem like one piece. I recon the new animation has been one of the best ive seen for a weekly anime. I don’t watch nuruto but I watch bleach and i can say the animation is awful in it.

Hopefully we get the full prison break next episode but thats too much to ask for but i don’t mind seeing as they are filling out the episodes nicely with extended fights and they got the

This episode just killed me. I was expecting fillers and a bit slowed down episode but this is beyond everything. Besides it's ugly.

Magellan and Iva staring each other was so long. It reminds me some part of DBZ anime. -_-'

It's probably the worst episode ever. Considering what part of the manga is used ..

Über low pacing , über ugly drawing , über lame episode.

The anime just made this epic arc looks like trash.

I have to say, for right now, that this is the worstly paced episode of the arc.
Not counting the 2 and a half minutes of recap, they also spent a great deal of time narrating what the characters are doing (despite being shown in front of us) as well as that minute and a half standoff between Ivankov and Magellan.
The worst part is that nothing really happened, it was purely transistional and for the most part "filler" material.

yeah the episode was pretty much trash, however I loved Ivan-san fighting with Magellan and still joking around that was hilarious and Sadi-Chan *grrrrrr*

Im still wondering what kind of endings the animators chose. I mean cmon they could have showm Magellan's attack instead of Luffy worrying about Iva and Inazuma....

Episode sucks, we saw 10 minutes of magellan walking and staring, 5 minutes of Iva laughing at his own jokes and 5 minutes of luffy and buggy doing noghting. SIGH

Geez looks like every one hates the anime, supose cause i just look at it as a bonus ontop of the manga. I like the animation aswell i know it lacks detail but the characters look and move more dynamic which is gona make fight scenes better. Unlike in other animes when people move like robots. Yeah the only disapointing part of the episode is how they couldn't end it like in the manga with

But that's exactly the point: They already have been showing this without dropping the drawing style and using mere scribbles. It totally went down once the Mugiwaras fled from Enies Lobby - for me they just ruined every single of my favorite scenes of the manga from that on.

"Making fight scenes better" - they have never needed that sort of bullshit.

Is it me or does the anime like drawing Luffy as like he had never ate his entire life , i know luffy is skinny (in terms of OP) but goddamn at the least he has muscle o-o

I think the episode was ... okay... but the scene where Luffy got his Boxing suite was totally messed up. The animations were bad and they staged it as it would be a transformation ala Sailor Moon. I'm so disappointed with this <<

Jinbei's underwater attack looked really amazing and that's all what I like. -_-

The animation was amazing, the progress was also good, though it could've been better.

Now that the group is *almost* out of Impel Down, hopefully the pacing and animation gets better as the war begins. Better progress, makes up for the pacing blunder of the past two episodes.
