Okay, just watched the episode. I'm really sorry to say that IMO this episode was complete JUNK !! First half of the episode is a recap of the last episode, plus Ace starring and grunting for like an hour, plus that damn tsunami "starting" for like an hour, plus that stupid "comedy" bit with Buggy and Mr.3 and Luffy, plus more starring and standing. The last half of the episode is just people jumping off ships, clashing some swords. When Mihawk made his move I was like FINALLY, but NO. Every damn marine has to comment on how unbelievable Mihawk is, then Tashigi has to explain about his sword to draw out some time THEN on top of all that the slash is flying for like a solid minute, and we get shots of all the important characters going and when it finally hits WB we get a TBC ! AGHHHHHH

Come on animators, step your game up !!!

I have to say, the pacing in the first half of this episode was rather meh. The first 3-4 minutes of the episode was basically recap of previous events. We spend at least 5 additional minutes with Buggy's antics. They also spent a minute showing off the *main* fighters in the war, such as the Admirals, Vice-Admirals, and Whitebeard's commanders. At a crucial moment such as this one, there is no reason why the anime should resort to diversionary filler.

The second half was much better, redeeming almost everything that went wrong during the first half. Aokiji froze over Whitebeard's seaquake tsunami as well as the surrounding ocean. Smoker lecturing Tashigi not to underestimate any of Whitebeard's men, regardless of position. Aokiji VS Whitebeard. Mihawk slashing his sword against Whitebeard.

Even if this episode's pacing was terribad, I'm hoping that now we can finally get to some of the real action scenes next week.

Wow....everyone seems so upset. It was cool with me. Everyone must realize 19-23 min must be pulled out of 14-17 pages of material. Remember this arc had a lot of double spreads. U gotto have some filler stuff in their to stretch it out. This arc hasn't picked up yet forreal. After the chapter about oars and ace, that's when the fighting picks up

Episode was ok. Just a I expected it was really slow and had cool moments. Overally to much bla bla bla about Mihawks action Next ones promo is looking very promising- Marco kicking Kizaru looks better than I expected.

Toei, fuck you. Seriously, fuck you. I don't care if I get banned, I was trying to find different words, this is all that came to my mind, when I watched the latest episode. Great, so the second episode of the marine ford arc goes into my list of worst anime episodes I've ever seen in my life. Nice way to go.

if they dont make the next episode MUCH better, i will stop watching One Piece, cause they screwed the entire beginning of one of the best (if not THE best) Manga Arc ever. i cant believe what i am seeing here, this is just bad....

That was my mind of state during the entire Impel Down arc, but this was just too much, I already decided to drop the anime. You know, it would be cool, if they decide to re-animate One Piece with a high quality once it's done, similiar to FMA Brotherhood. Sure, it would take an eternity, but at least they wouldn't have to worry about fillers or pacing anymore.

no anime can be as crappy as naruto vs pain or naruto lol(tom & jerry + fail animation scenes)

on topic:
toei should seriously start to pick up the pace or it'll get boring,
slow paced 3 episodes in a row is not a good thing,
and slow pace will not satisfy manga readers,
they're like planning to make(one piece kai)in year 2020 lol

I don't understand, are the people in charge retarded or something? They keep adding these random fillers and messing up the the pacing and flow of the episodes. They've completely ruined the cliffhangers at the ends of the episodes and I can't recall them doing the key scenes really well either.

Ep.460 was supposed to end with the appearance of Whitebeard saying he hopes his son is alright.
Ep.461 was supposed to end with WB's tsunamis coming back as high waves and the narrator announcing how both sides are set up.
Ep.462 Was supposed to be the last 8mins or so of today's episode and ending with Marco blocking Kizaru's lasers.

My god, this is really depressing. I've been looking forward to this arc being animated in so long, and after the disappointment of Impel Down, I thought we were due. The funny thing is, the animation has been good for the last few episodes but now its the content structure and pacing that is the problem.

Thought that animation and the fight scenes were done nicely, I thought thats something the manga left out to keep a good pace. Nothing wrong with the fillers as most of them are just offscreen reactions which I can also tolirate.

the Bad
I thought they were going to show every character to ever apear in one piece or in other mangas at one point... and yes they will do it every episode. Also I think they must have literally spent 5 minutes on the tsunami, good thing they went straight to the illistration.

The Ugly
I don't see the problem with using 1 chapter to 1 episode if, they have the time to add in fillers, why can't they show us the full chapter content, like showing the tsunami last episode and showing jouise and marko this episode...

IMO animation comes before pacing, as it is a anime not the manga, so i'm pretty pleased.

looks from the preview like there will be more Coby and Helmeppo in the next episode, which is an improvement on the endless slowness.

yeah, I knew that, thought other people would too so didn't mention it (probably unclear though ). You can't arrest people for cross-dressing in Japan! ..or at least I hope not. I guess 10-year-olds looking up their favourite voice-actor would get a bit of a shock finding photos of his latest butt-tattoo, but 10-yr-olds are probably used to finding that kind of stuff on the internet. It was still a pity to sack him.

Mihawk and Buggy was the only good bits in the last episode. The strange noises Ace and Whitebeard were making really distracted from the drama, and was Tashigi really that lame in the manga? (yeah probably..)

1-chapter-1-episode will probably work once the fighting gets started (and no matter how may people sat 'it's finally started' it won't start for a few episodes yet). I just wish they'd re-cut the slow ones for the DVD (and re-draw Shanks last episode for fecks sake..)

Just one thing: I really don't like it, when attacks that looked fast in the manga, look crappy slow in the anime. Imo Mihawks "strongest slash in the world".

I also understand the range of emotions Ace is going through right now (the manga did a nice job at showing that) but I don't know if I can stand seeing him do his choking sound or wtf that is every time they show WB and then pan over the near damn entire WB fleet IN SLOW MOTION !!!

God hates bad animation, Toei you're going to hell if you continue with such a horror. Pace is crap, music is mismatched, the drawings not really good, and they sucked the intro of the NW pirates, WB pirates and the VA... And i felt no dynamic in this episode, no action.
