me too, it was one epic episode, the bink sake, the people there, the laboon memories, any true OP fan would cry with this episode
it was one of those episodes like the last of the Alabasta arc, or when they came to EL to rescue robin, just epic
PS: the bink sake song was greeeeaaaaat, i hope these 2 weeks pass fast so we can listen the full version on 380 ^^

Great episode, I absolutely loved Bink's Sake. It seems the Rumbar Pirates does an up-tempo version of it which sounded even more awesome. It really has that "jolly pirate" feel to it. Should be really interesting to see the last performance of theirs.

I also have to say, the more times I hear the remix of We Are!, I gradually grow to like it more. At first I hated it but now I like it up til the last "WE ARE" which just sounds really out of place.

woot pandaman is a rad haired pirate!!!
judging by the spoiler for the next ep we will see the demise of the rumba pirates and then we will have a filler arc hopefully it will be the cover story arc of hachan (the octopus) like we had a filler arc (3 chapters...) of buggy's adventure that was in fact a cover story.
so i guess that in a month and a half or two SA will start... hopefully... *crosses fingers*... please enel do you magic...

Oh man. That's why I love One Piece. I almost cry watching the episode. Oda was just phenomenal when he wrote that song. And Toei make a good adaptation for the anime, the song, the melody, the beat was just wonderfull, who watch the epi will not regret.
One of the best OP episodes, if not the best, that I remember!

The song... That beautiful song! Oda really outdid himself there! What I especially liked was that Bink's Sake sounds different depending on who's playing it. When Brook was playing it solo on the piano, it sounded a bit melancholy, a bit like an elegy for all that is given up for the sake of a life of adventure. When the Rumbar Pirates played it together with an orchestra, though, it sounded happy and upbeat, like adventuring would open up a world of beauty and excitement, and even the bad things just sounded like small obstacles that could be overcome. I cannot wait to hear the Rumbar Pirates perform Bink's Sake in episode 380 (those who read the manga, I think you can guess what I mean. If you can't PM or something, but don't spoil those who only watch the anime). I also liked the pacing of this episode, it felt perfect, and the episode actually started after about 3.5 minutes instead of 6, like it has been recently. Unfortunately, I think they're still doing one chapter per episode for at least the rest of Thriller Bark, so next week's may drag on a bit. But the week after that should be amazing. The Song of Life...

I already loved the first version, with brooke singin it a capella. But this one, with the piano, sounds cheerfull and melancholic at the same time. Awesome. Got to praise the animation team for that, they did d a really great job on the two last episodes.

the strawhat version was a special opening
as far as I remember, it was during Enies Lobby arc, about 6 or 7 flashback episodes about the SH crews' past CMIIW

and does anyone noticed that Binks Sake sounds similar to 'Family' by the strawhat crew? it was a special ending for the alabasta arc

Episode 379 is floating around now, and I love love LOVE the solo violin version of Bin's Sake the most so far. It's just so pretty! Still waiting for next week's episode to see which version I like best though!

Oh, we got another version this week? Nice. It's gonna be hard to choose which I like best, though so far it's the one Brook played last week, mostly because he actually started to sing it, but I dunno if there was singing in this week's version. Next week's version might win just because of what it is, though... (Seriously, no spoilers, I wouldn't wanna rob the anime-only people.)
