Was it really that obvious that they had "more information"? they were there before him yes, but how should he even know what was going on? It's not like they drew him a sign "stop luffy, we promised hacchan not to get involved with the tenryuubito and it's one of them who bought caimie just now"

Also Luffy is by far not last, there are still Robin, Brook and Usopp missing atm so waqiting would be a natural choice if there were not 2 given things he had almost no influence on: the first thing is Caimie already being sold or on sell as he doesn't really know what's up and the second is his entrance. If he had sneaked in unnoticed like the others there would be no problem in discussing the situation even though that's just not Luffy and Oda wouldn't make him do that anyway ... but instead everyone saw that there is someone coming in.

What's even more, if you'd look at the exact same scene in the manga it's not like he stands there looks at his friends or even notices they are there ... he scolds the pilot for his landing turns around, sees the bowl Caimie is in and then overjoyed he found her starts to run into that direction... the animation was afair a little bit diffrent but that's the point of 'bad animation' again when they don't catch what Oda intended...

No OP this week, so...

blame Luffy for punching the bad guy.

Read again, i don't blame Luffy for that.

The scenario i expected/wished for (from Oda/Manga):
Luffy crashes in sees Caimie in the bottle, then he sees his crew just standing around and scolds the for not rescueing Camie.
Some explanation, then he screams around and stops the auction. The rest as we saw it.

It's not unlike Luffy and i would be pleased as well.

It would be unlike Luffy. As soon as he is able to see his target he's off to get there.
Although if you want to blame someone, how about his crew for standing there not showing themselves? <.<;

so Luffy wasn't the only one crazy, he was just a real man.

Exactly, he rushed in and ignored his friends who obviously had more information than him (why else weren't the already acting?)

Would he care? This is the guy who picked his nose as he declared war on the World Government. When he sees his goal, he goes for it. He doesn't LOOK at the situation. He didn't look for his crew, I doubt he even noticed them, he even completely ignored Hatchan's attempts to restrain him, because he landed, looked around, saw his goal, Caimie, and ran after her. It's just how Luffy works. He doesn't take time to reconnoiter. Even if he had noticed his crew waiting and not acting, he wouldn't care. He'd leave them to their plans and deal with it himself. Whenever Luffy sets a goal for himself, he's incredibly selfish about it, and takes input and restraint from nobody. He acted in a way that fit with how he's acted in the rest of the series. That's part of the flaw in Luffy's character, he's too rash. That helps sometimes (again, he declared war on the World Government, a very inspirational move), but he also didn't reconnoiter the auction house and got Hatchan shot. There's a balance.

The first time that I really liked a repetition ^^'
Ray had a weird entrance though (by that I mean the sound) and apart from all that Usopps was altered too much in the direction of him being a coward -.-

Nice Episode 397 are (The one I watch is HD Raw Here ). First thing is after disappearance of Shank in the Opening, the new what it called..err recap flashback I guess didn't show Gold D. Roger (I'm not wrong in his name I guess ). Thus I think Toei want to create Luffy image to release from the shadows of his predecessors (Roger & Shank in this case) which I considered good . Some different from the manga like how Rayleigh stole a rich man money . And addition how Nami fall & get laid with her hands and feet up (she look kind erotic this way don't you think ). I can't stop laughing how Usopp being speeding the Flying fish by himself & get himself fallen from the seat so need to be saved by Robin, also how Usopp being pushed by flying fish into the fray and fall into Roswald . Also how Brooke need milk supplement & get it from Chopper . The appearance of Rayleigh on the stage was coool (appear elegantly from the darkness, which one could any better than that?).

A new intro !?!! wasn't it the same since the beginning ? I do not really see why they do it now
and like Akainu I'm not fan of the Usopp fillers : the fall is a repeat from skypia and they completly ruined the tenryubito airbag joke
but rayleigh entrance is not bad. Are you satisfied blackhair ?

thx for asking k-dom, don't know if you are making fun of me or not xD. His appearance was weird, just like Akainu said, but not in a bad way. His haki outburst was just like I expected, sound and reaction of each was well made, especially that of Kid and Law. I also liked the Luffy-Bear vistas and that Robin introduced Kid as well, unlike in the manga. All in all, I'm positive pleased with the episode, which is a surprise after last week.

I wish Usopp's butt-strike was extended; I think giving it a similar treatment to Luffy's punch would have been spectacular but maybe that's just me.

Nice episode, the part where Usopp butt hit the Tenryuubito face was awesome, best than the punch, anyway, Rayleigh entrance was nice, and he is very smart to figure that out so quickly, and his haki burst was very good.

This episode was very good, they added some parts like Ray taking the money from that old men, and how he was unguarded when he break out, about Usopp being a coward, this fact is well known for everybody, and Toei like to use this a lot for making a fun scene, the part that the Flying Fish push him to jump was very funny!

It is subbed, I'm pretty sure of it, since I used it myself. I think u don't have the necessarily codecs and/or player to play the file. Try with this codec pack: CCCP and use Media Player Classic/VLC Player to play *.mkv files. Media Player Classic is in the codec pack implemented.

yeah that was my bad. my vlc player pooped out on me. i think its cuz my computer is crappy and the 720p videos don't work very well. in the process of downloading 400p now. sorry about that.

btw it seems that the one piece sub teams is not what they used to be. I shall not complain since I'm just a pathetic leecher but do you know if there is a reason ?

I forgot that Garp was probably behind the marines surrounding. That's what I like in the anime, it makes me remind the details I have tendancy to forgot.

Also I wonder about the next episode title. It is weird given what is the role of Akainu in next chapter don't you think ?
