I have the impression that don quixote voice is not quite the same than what it used to be. Well last time was 200 episodes ago so that would not be surprising, is there a way to confirm it ?

That depends what you compare it to. Apparently the first time he appeared (shichibukai meeting), he had a different seiyuu than later on. If you compare the voice from this episode to when he was on Jaya (Bellamy & Sarquisse fight) it's much more similar. At least it has more of the same tone to it, although it seems lower pitched now.

I also compared Rayleighs current voice to the one he had in episode 8. Nothing like it. You can't blame them, though. No one would have thought the guy appearing on screen for like 5 seconds would have such a major role.

Organizized is right, the first time Don Quixote appeared, I think it was in episode 151 he have a diferent seiyuu from his second appearance in epi 207, and after that is the same. The information is in Anime News Network, if you wanna see for yourself.

Now about the epi, was a good one, full of flashbacks but nevertheless a great one. The best part for me was when the 3 captain was heading to outside the Action House and the 3 of them start to discuss about that each of them can handle the Marines alone. And the fight was pretty good didn't lack emotion and action, so in general a good episode.

The way Luffy spinning the mortar ball, is a bit unrealistic I think, did the balls get heated because of the pressure inside the mortar? but I think shouldn't paid to small details lake that to much . The things that come to my mind is the prediction of Basil Hawkins that he won't fall. Although we'll see that Borsalino will hurt him pretty bad, the fact that we didn't see any of Supernova except Luffy that breach in inside Impel Down, now after more than 6 month, I wonder if that's true.

I know that is off topic but I can't help it... this is a translation of chapter 473 by stephen, if you read the SBS Corner you'll know that Oda told the anime staff about Rayleigh. So they should know not to change his voice intentionally.

Now about the last episode, I find it interesting that Rayleigh mentions Luffy's hat. It seems to me that Rayleigh has devil powers. Lastly I like the Luffy/Kid/Law interaction.

Love the spoiler for next episode (399). Looks awesome. :O

As for episode 398 it was pretty good. Would have liked more inspiring fight scene at the end with more interesting improvisation like chapter 397...but meh, still pretty good. I guess the real fun starts next episode. Spoiler for that one looked really amazing.

me neither, it didn't do the manga any justice i felt, maybe i'm just being naive but i saw that animated differently; especially when kidd and law's devil fruit powers are introduced...hopefully next episode has a better animation supervisor

Honestly I didn't like this episode that much. there was way to much streching for me.

I would just like to point out the irony in making this statement of an anime featuring a rubber protagonist.

Really though I do prefer the occasional filler to the stretching.

The last anime episode added good things, such as the Luffy's attack to prevent them from being hit by several cannonballs - I don't remember the name : it is the same he used to fish Arlong - but the end of the episode disappointed me. Indeed, we have come back to the same situation as when they first arrived together : the three of them are standing in front of the marine. So, it made what they have done in this episode useless.

muhahaha, so Ray really used Haki to get the collar off - however that works out though seems to be some kind of speed amplification? the explosion went off much later so it can't be the defensive thingy, but I guess I'll take that discussion elsewhere.

Now for the rest of the episode, the fighting was really the fun part ... and how they all tried to get the leading role and told Luffy he is the weirdest...
However in that same scene the drawing became really bad :/

I agree with k-dom, there was too much stretching on that collar scene. Looking forward to the fighting scene. Which was so far very good.

uh what should I say. Some addition that Toei put in this episodes really put in the place . Such how Zoro katana react to Kidd Magnetism, How marine do counterstrike evacuation mission . Bepo having Chinese kungfu accent (I'm not wrong, aren't I?), and most how Franky upgrade Motobaro (It's cool don't you think ). One thing for certain, episode 400 will be titled Roger & Rayleigh.

Awesome, this epi is really good. Even thought they do strech a litlle bit, but this time it was for a good reason, some parts that just mention in the manga, they give some nice interpretation in the anime, the fight was great, and the last one, the laser beam was really good, one of the best of this arc.

The next episode should be very interesting. Any episode about Roger is going to be good. Plus I think Luffy will say the line that made me almost cry from joy when I read it/
