Re: Mobile Phone Thread

It has nothing to do with service provider, I was talking about downloading the update with wifi. My provider is CLARO though, those guys are basically everywhere in south and central america.

Re: Mobile Phone Thread

I was wondering if every service provider in America rolled out an update though. Looks like America is or was the only country to not get Jellybean update for SGS3.

Because even my battery isn't getting recharged in time like it usually used to.

Problem with most smartphones: lack of dual sim ... And I don't want to have two phones on me (work + private).

Some manufacturers have realized the void and Samsung is rolling out dual sim smartphones.

Re: Mobile Phone Thread

Doesn't the S3 somehow deal with that issue? I haven't actually seen that at work however if I do recall the S3 commercials do seem to imply the S3 can somehow at least make that problem less complicated.

You're right, there is an adaptor now. Good to know.
Still one problem for me: solidity ...
A phone is spending more time on the ground that in my pocket. I would destroy an S3 in less than 3 months. And 3 months for a smartphone that expensive ... :D

Re: Mobile Phone Thread

Well, the easy and practical solution for that is to take care of your phone lol. A case is a decent alternative however at a personal level I despise that alternative as it implies making my phone, for whose thinness I paid some money, thicker (and by extension less comfortable in my pocket). Or maybe you need larger pockets :p?

^Yes... I already have the weather channel and I barely find that useful as in my current location the weather varies between moderately hot and humid or rainy and more humid...

Re: Mobile Phone Hangout Thread

I only use it to see what the temperature is like before I go out when I'm in Philly so I can be adequately dressed. Like few days ago, I forgot to check the weather and wore sweater jacket without hood, when I should have worn hood because my hair was kinda wet from shower. So yeah, checking temperature can be useful, yanno?

But seriously, try out Swipe Pad or whatever I recommended earlier in this thread. It makes accessing apps easier and keeps your homescreen neat since you don't need to add apps when you can already easily access it, no matter what app is open. Also try SwiftKey, there's trial adn then you have to pay for it. My trial ran out, but I don't get predictive text, the color scheme is still there. It's a great way to type fast without sacrificing too much accuracy. Or barely any.

Re: Mobile Phone Hangout Thread

I use Eye in Sky for my weather needs. I find it accurate enough, and the minimal UI is a bonus.

I've got Feedly as my RSS reader, Google's own Google Reader app is appalling. So I don't use my browser as much. Kobo as my e-book reader (I like the UI over Kindle). And like 3 or 4 social apps, one for each site. And then there's Evernote, acting as a notebook. Handy for coming across anything that inspires me.

7.-Snes emulator
wut.
Does it run Chrono Trigger???

E3, if you can wait, then do. Talk for SG4 release is increasing day by day. Its planned to be released in near future. We should know for sure by the middle of next month.
