Pertaining to Ging, we know he is genius when it comes to nen.

On the spot copying/mimicking at a certain level of someone elses hatsu. Albeit with a more basic nen utilization.
Highly academic when speaking with colleagues, very tactical/strategic in both fighting and diplomacy.

(Greed Island) We do not know how much he has contributed to it's creation all we know that it was his brainchild.
Proof: He assigned different nen users with running it's system.
Nen talent, we know he is smart but is he really powerful? He uses tricks to beat his enemies just like Hisoka does, but does he fight man to man just like Hisoka does? It's still a mystery.
And he sometimes goof offs.
Now we know he's a genius but is he really effective against people of the same calibre e.g. Silva, Chrollo, Zeno, and Pariston? Or maybe even Beyond?
Now for Silva.
Factors:
High Mastery of Emission(Chrollo fight - nen balls)
High Physique levels (Zaoldyeck we know that + Benz Knife)
High Levels of Enhancement Mastery(Cheetu, crater - enhanced punch)
Take aways:
Folks, we have feats. Based on all that we know he is a battle oriented nen user and we haven't seen him utilizing his own nen category yet. I'm also willing to bet he has mastered all the nen types, a good balanced fighter. Able enough to throw emission balls destructive enough on par with Uvogin's 20% or maybe 50% power(Inaccurate just looking at the damage in environment). Able to make a big crater with an enhanced punch much like Uvogin's BBI, but less effective since Transmuter(Also, we don't know how much power he used there). He can literally utilize basic nen at levels higher than any one else we've seen except for a Royal Guard and Uvon. Not even Razer's destruction of the Ryodan's boat can top off Silva's emission feat.
And Lastly Chrollo
Factors:
High Level Mastery of all nen types is a given for his Specialty
Mid level Physique levels, since I'm looking at Hisoka as high level and then to Zaoldyeck's and Uvon and Netero's as extremes.
High Nen Capacity and Nen effectiveness to compensate for low Physical prowess(Can defend against Zeno's enhanced punches even though he is considerably weaker physically).
Really advantageous Specialist Ability.
If it's a no prep fight, Chrollo is a no go. If it is? Almost certainly the guy to come out on top even with Ging's crazy talent. Nobody can top Skill hunter.
So I see this as Silva the face to face hand to hand no prep fighter and Chrollo with the prep. I just don't see Ging being at the extremes at both. At best he's a jack of all trades master of none in these scenarios, unless we see something else?
