I'd say no. Zunesha has been wandering the seas as a punishment for centuries and carrying the mink tribe. God Valley was a vacation spot for the Celestial Dragons and shown to be in a particular spot on the Grand Line.I'm pretty convinced (as far as the anime is ... I don't read the manga by now but have seen everything the anime has to offer)

An arc? Probably not. Maybe just a bit more information down the stretch of the story once the celestial dragons become more of a focus point in the story.
With his new upgrade, my theory is that he has connections to this Niki sun of God. This arc I'm thinking will expand more on that. I have no idea what we will be hitting next after Wano, we have so many left open plots that need closer before the series ends. What can give more time for us till than?

Wow, that post is old. The thunder and mist definitely caught me off guard. My first guess was that maybe imu did something but i don't see a why or how. The human hunt happens every few years and it doesn't seem like they destroy islands every time. An idea I've entertained is that maybe this relates to the unique weather each islands enjoys which doesn't seem related to it's position in the planet. Anyways the erasure of God Valley is like nothing else in the series, and happened after all the big players departed. What strikes me is the sequence of events detailed in its destruction:
- Island crumbles in on itself
- Shrouded in a deep mist
- Moments of silence
- Big (regular?) lightning
It's strange that the lightning happens AFTER everything, even giving a moment of silence before exploding. Literally the only thing I can think of is Uranos being run with an inferior power source. Uranos powered by Motherflame- absolute erasure and a magic ocean hole. Uranos powered by bum juice- demolishes an island pretty bad but not absolutely and then backfires like an old Chevy Nova causing all the lightning
None of them were connected to Davey Jones like God Valley was though.

Well you said we don't see a why or how, and it being the last hideout for the Davy clan certainly fulfills the "why" portion of targeting God Valley so thoroughly
Pretty obvious what I meant with God Valley being connected to Davey Jones.
I don't think that fits too well. God valley was found by pretty much by accident by garling. It was framed as a remote location outside of the world government where bucaneers laid low. Imu only showed up as xebec revealed himself in god valley.
