Despite Killua's wish Gon seems to be unable to use Nen. He will obviously find a way to master it again but do you think he will have a new Hatsu? Would you like it to happen or not?
Yes your Nen can change later in life but it becomes Specialization, nothing was mentioned about an Enhancer become a Transmuter for example, Manipulators and Conjurers have more chance to become Specialists than the others though. Your Hatsu will inevitably change if you acquire Specialization because it will modify your already performed Hatsu, it doesn't manifest like the 5 others but I never considered something like this could happenIs changing his Hatsu type even possible? As far as I remember, it was only mentioned that you can acquire Specialization Hatsu even at a later point if it was not your natural type. And that doesn't mean his hatsu will change, more like he got a new category to manifest, just like a Enhancer using Emission or Materialization (looking at you, Kastro).
So, by all means, I go with the first option.
Also, as a point, a special technique is not a Hatsu per-se, but hatsu is also used as a slang for special technique. So the second option may be a little confusing for people who thinks like that... xD <<< talkingabouthimself
I always saw it as a radical change of type.

well buddy something is for sure this is hunter x hunter not naruto whatever he's got in mind i'm pretty confident gon won't turn into jesus and unlike kishi he's not focused on teenages drama the manga is not focused on 2 kids like naruto does actually i've got a feeling we won't be seeing gon or killua in the next arkGon being able to use nen makes the prior transformation and sacrifice become a mere asspull... like every other shitty manga.
It will probably be a "start all over" scenario, though.
Gon starts all over whie killua travels and have fun, when they meet again Gon's managed to catch up and everything is like it was before... meh, super meh.
Unless Togashi surprises again.
Considering the severity of the situation he was in, and his resolution to never use nen again, the only satisfactory way (to me) would be if he lost his potential. Hence start over but at a normal growth and will never be as strong as he could have become. (Still shitty and asspully, but at least acceptable)
It would be better if he just stayed nen-less for a couple arcs.
Would that fit Gon?Specialists are individualistic and charismatic. They will tell you anything important on them, and refrain from being close friends. But, because of their natural charisma that draws others, they are always surrounded by many people.
dimensional jajaken? lol bruh, its just rock paper scissors XDGon will come back with an improved jajanken. There is no reason for him to develop a new hatsu. Itll be just like when kuwabara lost his spirt sword then camr back with the dimensional spirit sword. Gon might come back with the dimensional jankenmchi.
The basics of nen, and the general techniques, are the same regardless of affinity. There isn't any effective difference between an Enhancer releasing their aura or a Transmuter. Even if Gon were to change types, it wouldn't explain an inability to simply release his aura. For that matter, he'd still be able to utilise his original hatsu, he'd simply be less effective.i just watched an old episode of hxh of gon vs hisoka what intreged me was wing's comment something about gon passing a long time in the forest which would explain his enhancement affinity and it hit me what if his staying in there actually altered or covered up his original affinity (sort of speak) and alluka did successfully cure him the reason he can't use his nen is because he's doing it wrong he's using the techniques convinced he's an enhancer while he's not hence a conflict on bases results in nen not working( i hope i made the idea clear)
yes you've got a point right there. The basics of nen, and the general techniques, are the same regardless of affinity.
