Why they would want to beat Elfman in the sand world and not Ajeel or anyone else? It makes no sense.Yes, and they would still do it. That's the point.

Because Ajeel is hiding in a city+ AOE. Elfman is an easier targetWhy they would want to beat Elfman in the sand world and not Ajeel or anyone else? It makes no sense.
I mean Elfman's really only got durability feats imo. Ajeel is way better overall, and just got a bad match against Elfman. Elfman's attacks on screen haven't been very impressive.Gildarts, Erza, Gray and Elfman.
Elfman has already defeated Ajeel during Alvarez, and he has since jumped leaps and bounds. Elfman fought and matched Madmole in combat. The same Madmole who took a direct sword strike to his head from Erza without flinching, and tanked 100YQ Natsu's FDK Demolition fist with zero damage.

That FDK demo fist is the level of attack that would decimate Ajeel. Elfman also took Lucy's Star Dress Mix: Leo x Virgo form's Lion Maiden without any injury.![]()

After Urano Metria, SDM Mix are Lucy's most powerful strongest spells.![]()

With all these improvements Elfman displayed in the 100YQ, the gap between him and Ajeel has become even wider. Ajeel's sand world will not hinder Elfman because we have already seen how with sand beast takeover he becomes literally immune to the attacks Ajeel throw at him. Elfman also has the advantage of greater versatility. He has numerous different takeovers that can be very useful in combat. In a battle of attrition he can also rely on the incredible endurance from his Lizardman takeover which was how he won against Bacchus. In fact Erza claimed Elfman probably has the best endurance in FT.
In terms of physical attributes, Elfman should at least be as strong as Gray. Though Gray is smarter and magically more powerful. If Gray is nailed on to advance, then so should Elfman. Let's do the right thing and vote Elfman people! He deserves some recognition. It takes a real man to be able to see from his mistakes, so change your votes to Elf-nii chan before it's too late!![]()

Elfman is not an easier target, cuz he can move freely and hiding too, while all other will be in disadvantage. They won't even see him. Elfman beat Ajeel in sand world much easier than anyone beat ElfmanBecause Ajeel is hiding in a city+ AOE. Elfman is an easier target
Guess Skullion and Madmole had a bad match up against Elfman too when they both couldn't defeat him? Elfman does not have armour and ash DS resistance.I mean Elfman's really only got durability feats imo. Ajeel is way better overall, and just got a bad match against Elfman. When you have someone like Mira fighting with, and probably protecting you, it's a lot easier to stay standing. Also, that still comes under durability, which Elfman does have good feats for.Guess Skullion and Madmole had a bad match up against Elfman too when they both couldn't defeat him? Elfman sent Loke flying with a simple punch, and Loke specialises in hand-to-hand combat.
He effortlessly scooped up four full grown adults in his arms and race with them.![]()
He also stomped limit release Seilah during Tartaros when Mira was wrecked by her so hard she got knocked out of her Satan Soul.![]()
![]()
Even if we were to remove sand beast in his arsenal, Elfman would still overwhelm Ajeel because he is now leagues above him. Allow him to access sand beast and he won't break a drop of sweat while doing so.![]()

You are framing it as though Elfman is a burden to Mira during the fight when that is clearly not the case with how Mashima portrayed it. Unlike Lisanna, Elfman is actually comparable to Mira. Skullion and Madmole, who neither Gray nor Natsu could defeat respectively, gave Elfman more respect than you. And that's a huge shame because I really don't know what more do you want from the author. It's not about the quantity of the feats. Rather, it's more so the quality. Elfman does not need many fanciful attacks with beautiful visuals. His offensive strength is far greater than Ajeel's durability, and so is his durability greater than Ajeel's offensive strength. Come on this is FT. Not rocket science. And I notice you chose to selectively ignore Seilah massacring Mira, yet was defeated in a single attack from Elfman? When you have someone like Mira fighting with, and probably protecting you, it's a lot easier to stay standing. If carrying four people, defeating an enemy who has their back turned to you and knocking back Loke are the best strength feats you've got, that's not a great list. Also, a 'simple punch' as if that's not the only attack he's ever shown lmao.
Interested how you came to that conclusion.
There's just as much proof about Lisanna helping against Ajeel than there is Elfman fighting Madmole. You could easily argue Elfman would have lost straight away against Ajeel if Lisanna didn't save him from the ant lion pit, or whatever its called. I don't really see any convincing argument for his attack power to be so overwhelming he can beat Ajeel, especially since he's slow as hell. I literally didn't ignore the Seilah thing, I said it was an attack from behind, against an enemy who wasn't focused on him. You seem to want to forget that base Seilah made Elfman nearly kills his sister and the whole guild. You are framing it as though Elfman is a burden to Mira during the fight when that is clearly not the case with how Mashima portrayed it. I'm under the impression that we are picking the final 4 standing. So I'm not sure how useful is AOE here. I could see it being helpful if this was a contest of who can defeat a higher number of foes. In such a setting where the last 4 are victorious, then it's natural for durability to be a greater factor. With regards to body hax, unlike in her fight with Ajeel, Erza does not have her wind and water swords restricted by Marin for majority of the fight. So she could bust them out to finish Ajeel quickly. Which isn't unlikely due to Ajeel's arrogance and desire of people calling him a god. He could find himself an early targetI'm not paying Nebal (or any DE) DF unless I see it. It's forbidden, and even in defeat several of them have not used it.
So it leaves Ajeel vs Elfman which is a tough choice. I went Elfman due to durability being very important in a group battle. Then again Ajeel has AoE and body hax on his side that would help him tremendously.
Might change the vote depending on comments.
In addition, Cana also a water spell in her arsenal. The same Cana who could survive against August without an injury. Elfman on the other hand has no notable weakness.
All your arguments make me change my vote xDGildarts, Erza, Gray and Elfman.

Why are you using quotation marks like I actually said sucker punch? I said he attacked her from behind, and then you straight up just show a panel of exactly that happening, and pretend that's good for Elfman? Ok...Edit: I see that you amended your post and now you are claiming that Elfman 'sucker punch' Seilah from her back. Well, that's false narrative. Mira was already lying hapless on the ground. Seilah was no longer in the midst of an exchange with Mira because Mira has been resoundingly beaten. Even if she did not use her demonic eyes final attack, she would walk away as the victor. However, she chose to humiliate Mira. Seilah was then made aware of Elfman's imminent attack in the bottom left panel of this page. However, she could not react in time to defend or evade his attack. He was simply too fast, and too strong for Seilah.
