It's more about it having turned that way due to a bad norm spreading. It's nothing recent though, and it's been gradual over many years. I must admit I enjoy some spam myself though. Sometimes a "spam response" is the best response too. My thread usually contains exactly what you listed above to be honest, especially in the last months it's been all about series (ASOIAF) and games, haha.

I'm probably being too ignorant but I kinda think no post is really a spam. Spam as defined is a stupid, pointless, and annoying message. During the time I made tons of posts here or at MZ (which are often considered spam), I think (at least) it makes me happy and of course I'm hoping others would enjoy it too, therefore it's not stupid and pointless. Annoying, maybe, but still... :PP

In a sense you are right. Since there's no real topic in these sections anymore (before it was much more Q&A based and convos around that), If a post is "contributive" it's legit. Even so I have huge troubles accepting a convo going like for example "lol u weird" "why?" "No reason <smiley>" "...." etc as 'not spam'. Brainless convos like that are a reality sometimes in these sections.

It's not really something I bother annoying myself about anymore. I like the loose "rules" we have in these sections and sometimes I endulge in spam convos too. When it comes down to it post count is irrelevant and it's all about having fun.

Haha~ Yeah, yeah, sometimes we see that. In my case it's included in "annoying" category since, well, something more can be put in the post than simply one or two words with smiley. XDD But being brainless is in our genes, so can't be helped. \o/
