It didn't resonate with me, no.

Then I came to the realization that it amounted to a more fantastical version of Death Note, with mecha. That's not a bad thing, but....

I see, I think it changed a bit from the original wish Lelouch had at the beginning of the story, but not that it ended the bad way, IMO.

I don't follow DN so I don't know.

It's a good series, but I feel like A LOT of its popularity is fangirlism~

To be honest I never a big fan of Code Geass to, somehow. I REALLY love mind battle stuff, but somehow Code Geass's plot does not really suitable for my taste. The character design is also.. well CLAMP-ish..

Stuck. As I said before, no time (and mood) to finish. I'm occupied by many other things right now, so I might finish it during holiday (which is still so far away~).

Well, I still watch anime, just that Code Geass isn't at the top list of priority. Current anime are so much more interesting.
Ho~ So you finally fell for Natsume and Nyanko-sensei, huh? I usually don't like cats, but when I got a Nyanko-sensei phone strap (which is a bit hard to find here), I was like a sweets-loving kid getting candies.
