Oh no, that one is already over last semester. This semester I have to write a two-hour play.
The content has to be local, so I'm quite distressed. (I'm the medieval era type, so writing anything Indonesian is hard.) And there are some other essays and thesis....

I don't remember it much, but I think the overviewstudy that was linked in the article was specifically pointing out the diffrence to music therapy, linking music to four diffrent mechanisms in the human body. Either way it's good someone actually takes the time to study how it works and what it does.It's actually not a new thing, right? Music therapy has been used before although not popular because the exact mechanism is not fully known. Even though there are proofs. It's science after all. ^^;
Let's see if I can integrate music in my practice after I graduate?

What do you mean technically? And how does you being a Muslim influence your daily life if you don´t mind me asking? I am not necessarily talking about pork or alcohol, though that is not excluded, but rather a general way of behavior.
I was born as a Muslim, though I won't associate myself as one lately, since I do not fit the description of a "good" Muslim like praying five times a day or whatnot. Hmm.. How should I put it.. having a religion, for myself is always a good thing since religion is like a brake for my behaviors and life. I'm not exactly a deviant of traditional Muslim tradition either, and I'm still a believer.

So you would describe yourself as more liberal than most in Indonesia but since i have no idea how strict they actually are concerning Islamic beliefs, i can not really imagine something concrete.
We're half-assed as a country, in my personal opinion as its citizen. I'd say that the amount of hardliners is quite close with the amount of moderate ones. Like any hardliners, of course there are some extreme beliefs, which I think make their life is more difficult, such as decided to not using Alcohol as an antiseptic for wounds or surgery since it's prohibited. Guess now you can imagine how extreme they are.. but I'm really glad that there are still many moderate muslims out there.
One could argue that Samudra Pasai is actually older than Kutai, by the way..
