Hello! My name is Katie. I was an exchange student to Japan for the 2010/11 school year but unfortunately had to return early due to the earthquake. I am looking to join a group as a translator to practice my Japanese so please let me know if you need any help. Yoroshiku!

Ah, I see. I'm sorry to hear that you have to go home because of the earthquake. My friend had just got a scholarship to Japan right after that earthquake happened and that the radiation was pretty severe. He insisted on going, though. He's at Japan now. ^^"

Anyway, it's awesome that you want to be a translator! What manga genre do you like to read and translate? XD

@M3J: Thanks! While I was in Japan I always borrowed Jump from my host brother, my favorite being Bakuman. I also really like psychological manga like Liar Game and Death Note and mystery like Conan.

@benelori: Thanks, I made sure to read those. Do you mean for like popular series? I haven't read much seinen, but some series I like are Maison Ikkoku and Battle Royale.

@lordHokage: Thank you. I'm doing alright, I was really sad to leave Japan, and had just one day's notice to pack everything and say bye to my friends. Luckily, my city wasn't affected too badly by the nuclear meltdown and tsunami.

@Charlie: Thanks, I will!

I enjoy anything with a good plot really. I like psychological, mystery, romance, action, comedy, shounen, shoujo, etc. Just as long as it isn't ****** xD

Nice to meet another translator Sorry to hear you had to come home early from your exchange program because of the earthquake! I suppose you were somewhere fairly near the epicenter? (or were your parents just overreacting? ) What's your major?

Ah, I see. He's in Tokyo, as far as I know. He never shown up at FB again so I can't tell if he's okay or not. =__= That is too bad, but safety is more important indeed, so you can't complain much. XD

Haha, I see. Any ideas of good psychological anime or manga? Not too serious, though. Something like Liar Game, if you've heard of it?

I don't know. I'm not following it again so I can't tell when it would end. I just hope that it ends soon, but not leaving a cliffhanger or something. XD I read through cases which I found interesting. Well, most of the cases are interesting. But I usually read the investigation part pretty fast and move right away to the part where Conan explained the trick and caught the murderer.
