Hiya,I go by the name AlwaysNikoNiko and I'm a new member to this website.

I just joined not too long ago, but I'm now just having time to post an introduction. Um...I'm just an average teen who loves reading manga and watching anime. My hobbies are reading, writing, listening to music, skating, bicycling, baking, and etc.

I joined because I want to learn how to clean and maybe edit manga and hopefully join a scanalation group. ^_^

I generally like josei and shoujo manga.

My favorite shoujos are: Kare First Love, Sailor Moon, Beast Master, Special A, Kimi ni Todoke, Five, High School Debut, Dengeki Daisy, Midnight Secretary, Nousatsu Rock Shounen, Bokutachi wa Shitte Shimatta, Black Bird, The Devil Does Exist, Mademoiselle Butterfly, Faster Than a Kiss, Mishounen Produce, Kiss/Hug, Seiyuu Ka-!, Lovely Complex, Card Captor Sakura, Inuyasha, Hiyoki, and MANY more.

I'm okay with shounen and action though. I read Naruto, Bleach, Fairy Tail, Prince of Tennis, Samurai Champloo, and etc.

In my spare time, if I'm not reading some manga or watching an anime, I tend to hang around this site called www.fanfiction.net They have a good database of fiction made stories on various anime and manga.

So yeah....new to this website and hoping to learn more about cleaning and editing and hopefully join a scanalation group. Feel free to contact me if you're a teacher, fellow student, or even just a random person looking to make a new friend. Maybe someone can show me around to... ^_^

Hm...seinen manga that I might have forgotten. Let's see.... I've started reading Gantz. I used to watch Ghost in The Shell, Baki The Grappler, and maybe a little more, but I can't remember. I have a faulty memory sadly. >.<

I saw some of the Oscars and I was not satisfied. They gave Anne Hathaway and James Franco a lot of hype. I think Anne did good. I like her as an actress and I liked some of her many outfits of the night, but James looked like he didn't want to be there. I can't help but wonder what was going through his head.

I must admit, I have always dreamed of being a Sailor. I dream of being a descendant of Sailor Moon since my horoscope planet or satellite is the moon, and I find the moon utterly fascinating . ^_^ Although, I do like water so a second and third place could go to either Mercury or Neptune.

I am so happy to know that there's a fanfiction section on this website. I will definitely check it out. When I have my mind organized, maybe I can post some of my writings up here.

Have you read Medaka Box, Psyren or any other psychological action shounens?

Ooh the moon? Well, isn't that cute. *.* You recognize yourself with the moon, or do you just think it's cool? Maybe your planet is moon and element water? That would be a pretty cool combination!
I for one am, just like Napoleon, of the sun. I know it's not a "true" planet but is still considered so in astrology forecasts and it represents my ego and my conscious will as well as my physical life energies. \o/

I'm an astrology nerd, probably because everything that is said about me is true. The "daily" horoscopes are not, but the characteristics and combining it with the metal sheep/goat it basically describes me. Both appearance, where I am in life, and my mentality towards everything.

Ehehe, sorry to be rambling on about myself and astrology. Enough of that. I hope you'll truly enjoy your stay here and may it be long and eventful! Feel free to stop by the General Discussion section to discuss everything but manga.

Anyways congrats on Ghost in the Shell...the manga is pretty a rare sight nowadays cuz it's old, but the anime is indeed still kicking...very good anime, both the series and the movies...

Anyway...I think you will like Otoyome-gatari...it has a thread in the seinen section, it's sticked so you can't miss it...if you miss it, I'll hop with the link...it's really good...

What happened with Black Swan...such an awesome production, from every POV...beautiful story and it can be interpreted in sooo many ways

I'm glad to get this kind of welcome. I've heard of Medaka Box & Psyren so I might check those two out the next time I go on a marathon of manga reading. I can't say that I remember any other ones, but I'll gladly check out mangas from that category.^_^

:3 I just love the moon. Mainly because I recognize myself with the moon and I find it very fascinating. I remember when that eclipse happened over the Christmas season, I stayed up and watched every minute of it.

Sweet! I am an astrology nerd too. I am under the sign of Cancer. That's another reason I like the moon, because that's my planet and water is actually my element. I can't wait for spring to come again so that I may go swimming. As for personality, I do correspond with Cancer because I tend to go through emotional and characteristic mood-swings and I also tend to be very shy and hide behind a mask or shell. >.> No worries. I'm trying hard to fix that.

Physical wise. I'm partly confused. I don't think most physical aspects of a Cancer relate to me at all, but maybe one day I'll grow in to it.

It's great to know that there's another astrology nerd out there, and I'll definitely drop by the General Discussion. Thanks again for the reply.

Yes I typed started. A good friend of mine kept hounding me to read it, but I was kinda undecided because I heard it was graphic and all, but I recently started reading Gantz. Starting from chapter one. ^_^

I also heard that it has great character development and that's something I enjoy reading about.

I know that I'm probably behind in the newer mangas, but ah. Some classics are hard to just read and forget.

I'll definitely check out Otoyome-gatari. That one sounds familiar too. It must be things I've looked at and forgotten to go back and check up on. I'll remember this time to read these mangas and join some discussions about them.

I too was shocked about Black Swan. It makes me wonder who the people who designate the awards are and how they came to their decisions. The ways of interpreting Black Swan are endless indeed.

Once again, I do like water. Neptune and Mercury could easily be my Sailor role-models. :-) Hm...that Rose remark. I think of Tuxedo Mask or Moonlight Knight but I feel like another character was once seen with roses too. It might just be me overthinking it though.

But 20th Century Boys is a must...so is 21st Century Boys...
Akira, Pluto, Billy Bat...

Then we have newer titles such as: Vinland Saga, Liar Game...
Also a long time classic and fav...Berserk...it's one of the best...if UR not afraid of blood and violence, but need a fine, complex and beautiful story then Berserk it is...
Homunculus is a freaky manga, it will make UR head spin...
And The Hour of the Mice is something quiet...a thriller-ish slice of life...

You definitely should...it's a beautiful story with beautiful art...I'm 100% sure U'll love it...

No overthink...I actually wanted to be like him...I always liked masks(Zorro) and loved roses(Black Rose movie from the 60s)...Tuxedo Knight was the perfect blend
