I've been working on Hako-Bune since Fall of 2010 and I'm glad I've reached to some of the artwork, story, and plot building that I've gotten to now. Now the major hardwork starts, which is Chapters, Panels, and the Comic. Although, if I do do any comic strips, they will probably only be rough drafts on small paper. Enjoy!

PS: I'm also looking for an editor to edit some of my scripts and tell how they are. If you're interested, please PM me. =)

PS x2: To the staff, I've created a new thread for this topic. I hope that there is nothing wrong with that.

Story of Noah's Ark
God is grieved about his creation of men, so he sends a flood out to end the human civilization. But God didn't see the evil in a man called Noah, so he gives Noah the directions on building a huge boat (Known as an Ark). After about 120 years, Noah was finished building the ark and his family hopped aboard. Also, 2 of every animal had to get on the boat as well. Then God shut them in.

The Lord then sent a great rainstorm that lasted 40 Days and 40 Nights. The waters rose higher and higher to even where you couldn't see the tallest mountains. Only Noah and his family were in the Ark and were saved. The flood lasted 5 Months (150 Days) and the boat landed on the Mountains of Arrarat. There the Ark stayed for 7 Months (210 Days) until the flood went down and the ground dried up. At the end of the 7 Months, Noah sent out a Raven and a Dove to search for a place to rest. After 1 Week (7 Days), the Raven returned with an olive branch in its beak. Everyone and every animal went out of the ark.

After the great flood, Noah then built an alter and used sacrifices. The Lord saw this and sent a rainbow as a sign that he would never again punish the world.

Setting: Biblical Period
Genre: Action, Historical, Adventure
Conflicts: Man VS Nature, Man VS Man, Man VS Himself

Story Summary
Hako-Bune (The Ark In English)
Genres: Action, Historical, Adventure
In the time of biblical days men have reached a level of wickedness God has grieved, so he sends a flood to end the human civilization. A great ark, known as Noah's Ark, is sent out by Noah to save as much of each animal and human as possible to keep the human race alive and animals from becoming extinct. Ali, a runaway orphan, and his dog, Nel, find out about this ark and must find a way to it before the flood kills them both. With the world full of rainstorms, almost no land left, and violent floods, Ali and Nel must find Noah's Ark to live.

Plot Summary
The plot centers around the wickedness of men during The Great Flood. It will show what they would do to be considered wicked and evil. Also, the plot will show alot of Man VS Nature since nature is a huge part in Hako-Bune.

The plot will occur exactly when the rainstorms start, the flooding, the flood subsiding, and the Days of The Dove and Raven.

Pictures will be provided as soon as I can get them. You may already have seen some of the characters though.

Also, I'll be adding more characters as the story rises and ends.

Ali
- Ali is the main character of Hako Bune and is an orphan. He's very ambitious and loves adventure. He also has a nag for fixing things and wears a bandana over his forehead.
(Character Type: Ambitious/Brave, Adventurous, Funny, Falsy)
(Age: 12 and a half)
(Sex: Male)

Nel
- Nel is Ali's dog and just like Ali, Nel is very amibtious and loves adventure. He's not a big dog, in fact, he's a puppy, and his breed is Dalmatian.
(Character Type: Ambitious/Brave, Adventurous, Funny)

Aldo, Elder of Wisdom (Aldo or Elder Aldo)
- Aldo plays a very important role in Hako-Bune and is called Elder. He gives Ali and Nel the boat Whisper.
(Character Type: Energetic, Wise, Straight Up Hilarious)
(Age: Very Old)
(Sex: Male)

Whisper
- Ali and Nel are given the boat Whisper by Aldo. Aldo gave it the name Whisper because he wanted a boat that could flow through any weather condition. Whisper has one steering wheel, the jesus cross in the front, a small tent for some protection, and a mysterious bottom deck. Also the boat is made out of Gopher Wood . A wood used during the biblical times of Noah's Ark. (Now known as Cypress Wood)

Wasn't Easy
- A boat built by Aldo, and given a ridiculous name. He calls the boat "Wasn't Easy" simply because building it wasn't easy.

Mother Nature
- Mother Nature plays a VERY important role in Hako-Bune. As it is the center of the story. Mother Nature is The Great Flood and plays as an Antagonist to the Antagonists and Protagonists. It gets in the way of todays men trying to find the Ark.

Chapters

I'll be trying to get 1 or 2 Chapters up every week. Enjoy!

KAKAAAAAA!!! KAKAAAAAA!!!
(Swarms of birds fill the air and fly in one direction and the sounds of natures animals begin to fill the air.)
(The direction of focus focuses on a small town as everyone looks up at the Spring skies. Today feels different.)
[/I]

Townsman 1: What's going on with these birds today.

Townsman 2: I don't know...but its just not the birds.

Townsman 1: You're right. It's everything.

Our focus then begins to go to a local Bread and Rice Seller and he begins a conversation with the townsmen.

Seller: Hey, you guys been looking at the skies?

Townsman 2: No...why?
Townsman 2: ... (Looks up at the sky)

Townsman 1: (Looks at the sky too)
Townsman 1: So?

Seller: Suppose to be raining hard. (Looks at the sky slowly and brings head down slowly.)
Seller: And not just any normal rain.
Seller: Suppose to flood too.

Townsman 1: Flood?

(Townsman 2 gets out some money to buy his rice and bread for tonight and looks at his pockets while talking and getting the money out.)

Townsman 2: Wouldn't make those assumptions just because of a wee bit dark sky. (Looks at the seller while handing him the money.)

Seller: Oh these aren't assumptions men...these are facts.
Seller: There is going to be a world wide flood, covering all land.

(Townsman 2 takes his money away from the Seller and back into his pockets.)

Townsman 2: Eeeh...I think there are better Sellers around here. (Looks at Townsman 1)

Townsman 1: And less crazy?

Townsman 2: (Looks at the seller like he's creepy while speaking.) ...yeeeah.

We go into a different place as a rock falls down a small mountainside as the picture goes up. The picture then goes to a hand picking up a rock and then shows our main character Ali's face of him looking down with a bored look. Ali takes a deep breath and breathes out and throws the rock. Then he brings his head down to rest on his arms while his arms rest on his knees as he sits on the ground. His dog, Nel, mimicks him. He doesn't throw a rock though.

Nel: BARK!

Ali: Hmmm?
Ali: Oh it's nothing...I'm just a lil bored and thinking.

Nel: *moans* (Then lays head down and begins to close eyes to rest)

(Ali stands up and Nel opens one eye to look at him)

Ali: Who knew today would be so boring. (Puts hands over eyes to block the little bit of light the sun is giving off.)

Ali looks down at a nearby villager named Aldo, elder of wisdom. It appears that Aldo is getting prepared to go somewhere. After they look at him Ali jumps and slides down the mountainside as Nel follows behind him. They reach Aldo and begin to ask questions.

Ali: Getting ready to go somewhere, elder?

Aldo: Ah, why yes I am.

Ali: Where you getting ready to go *questioned face*?

Aldo: Wherever the oceans and seas take me.
Aldo: I'll be sailin' them for a year.

Ali: A year? *surprised look*

Aldo: Yes (Looks at Ali)...why the surpirsed look?

Ali: Your going to be gone for a year elder?
Ali: You're the only boat builder we have. How will we get food and transport?

Aldo: No problem young one! (Gets energetic all of a sudden)
Aldo: I will leave these boats here for everyone, Ali.

Ali: But wait, theres got to be a reason why you're leaving.

Aldo: A huge reason. In fact, a unbelievable reason.

Ali: *?*
Ali: Whats the reason?

(As they talk, it goes to Nel playing with butterflies)

Aldo: Well, Ali (It goes back to Ali and Aldo)...*holds index finger up*
Aldo: There's to be a great rainstorm.

Ali: We always have those. (Says it with a smile and hands on waist with confidence)

Aldo: We do, but this one isn't "one of those".
Aldo: After the rainstorm, there will be a world wide flood.

Ali: *eyebrows raise*

Aldo: It'll cover all land.
Aldo: The hugest mountains might not even be in sight.

Ali: Really?

Aldo: (Goes back to the boats) Couldn't be more sure myself.
Aldo: Nothing else could describe natures behaviors today.
Aldo: An old friend of mine told me to be prepared.
Aldo: Thats why I built...(A big presentation occurs)
Aldo: WASN'T EASY!

(Hilarious manga look by Ali and Nel)

Ali: Wasn't....easy...?

Nel: *confused moan* ...?

Aldo: Yeah...you think it was easy building it?
Aldo: Heck no.

Ali: Well since the earth will be flooded...
Ali: Do you mind...if...

Aldo: Not at all Ali.
Aldo: I have another special boat. Come.

Aldo puts his hand over a huge sheet made from wool. And reveals the boat underneath. Ali and Nels eyes sparkle in amazement.

Ali: Wow *amazed*...

Nel: *eyes sparkle*

Aldo: BEHOLD! WHISPER!

(Shows Whisper with Aldo in the picture and holding his hand out in presentation)

Aldo: Beautiful isn't she?
Aldo: Since this is one of my favorite boats...
Aldo: ...I'll give it to you guys for it's protection.
Aldo: Now (Walks around the front of the boat with index finger waving about while he looks at the ground. His other hand is behind his back. Yes, he's trying to make a statement.)
Aldo: I want Whisper back in one piece.
Aldo: I'm not sure how rough the winds will be.

(Interupts Aldo as he's speaking)

Ali: Elder...

Aldo: Hmm?

Ali: YOU CAN COUNT ON US!!! (With huge presention, right hand over head saluting, and other hand on waist.)

Nel: *mimicks Ali* Mmhmmm!

I told you in your other thread that I really like the your story idea, it is very shonen and has a lot of potential for showing the friendship of the characters and the main characters sense of justice and so on. (Well I dunno where you want to take this story but thats what came to my mind when I read your story summary).

As for your script, I think the ending is kinda abrupt and you could easily leave out that second narrator-part at the beginning, cuz it doesnt really contribute anything important to the story. But I´m looking forward to seeing some of your art, maybe you gonna update this thread someday with some concepts or even finished pages...

BTW: I dont really see why it is necessary to create a second thread for the same series...
