5-6 full sentences per post? Only if there is an interesting discussion, but rarely are there these days, so....
Tsk... lemme show you how to do that, noob
So, today I woke up at 6.30am and kicked my children out of the beds. Then I realized that still had to fill out the forms for the summer break childcare.
My kids go to school from 8am till 4pm, from Monday to Friday. The actual lessons are only till 1pm and are followed by the school's childcare service. They eat lunch there, do their homework and attend (just voluntary, not forced) workshops and clubs. They generally have a lot of fun in the afternoon.
Now, the six weeks long summer break is coming up and for parents who work fulltime, the school offers to continue this childcare service during the break as well. As a motivating special, they'll do a day trip every Wednesday with the kiddies.
This year my financial situation is really dramatic, so we can't go for a vacantion at all. Also I'll work voluntary every Tuesday and Thursday and don't want to stop that for full six weeks.
So, this morning I decided to take a break from work for the first half of the summer break and to register my children for the childcare service during the second half, but only from Tuesday till Thursday (my two work days and the day trip in the middle). So a total of 9 days within a six weeks span.
You should have seen my son when I gave him the form...
He was crying like a dog. Swearing and screaming that I have no time for them during the summer break and that I don't care and that he wants his full six weeks of free time
Hello? I mean, I registered them for the day trip days just because I can't finance any big vacation this year. So that they have at least a little fun outside of the neighborhood. Also I do not see that I need to take all six weeks off from work JUST because I do it voluntary. Even so i have a responsibility towards my clients and parents who work 'normally' can't just take of such a long time either ._.
It's not even as strict as a camp. Only three days a week and I grab them every afternoon. But he was absolutely opposing it and making a drama out of the whole thing that I thought landlord will complain on the early noise >.>;
What do you think? Is summer break supposed to be 100% free time for children? They don't go there for any learning or work, just to have fun under the eyes of caretakers during my absence. Is that really so dramatic for a elementary school kid?
I would like to talk to him again when he comes home from school later. Input? >.>
